“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life…
…for God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
John 3:16-17
Morning dew on our Japanese Maple!
It was a cold and windy October morning as we drove over Independence Pass!
The Mountain Chalet is one of the few remaining old-time ski lodges in Aspen. It was opened in 1954. We did not stay here, but I thought it was quaint.
After cotton is harvested, it is converted into modules (compressed) to be hauled to the gin.
A red barn… Simple and Southern!
Always our favorite appetizer at Highlands Bar and Grill… stone ground baked grits with country prosciutto, mushrooms, and thyme!
Coral Bark Maple is showing fall leaf color and its unusual coral bark!
A stalk of Brussels sprouts, anyone?
Yesterday there was heavy fog that blanketed our Appalachian Foothills for several hours after daybreak.
I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
Psalm 122:1

I can see that you are savoring every moment of this Autumn color. So am I and this was perfect first thing this morning. I love the red barn. Ella Mae is dressed so perfect for her picture in the cotton patch. She is such a doll. God has blessed us with these children in our lives. All of your posts this week have been so meaningful to us. God Bless.

That picture of Ella – so sweet! We had the same fog yesterday, and I also snapped a picture on our morning walk. I went to an estate sale and bought a watercolor much like your simple red barn….but with snow on the ground. 🙂
Happy Sunday, Pam!

Hi Pam, spectacular Japanese maple fall dress. In these latitudes the trees are dressed in spring, it has rained a quarter of an hour and nothing more …
Ella Mae another precious little cotton, she is very beautiful. The photo of Mountain Chalet is very beautiful.
And I highlight the photo of the Brussels sprouts because it has interested me to see them in their trunk. The truth is that I never thought that they were linked to a common trunk … Very interesting.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful things in life.

The fall foliage is beautiful! You planned your garden so well to have fall foliage .
Ella Mae is adorable in the cotton field.
I think the grits appetizer would be one I liked also.
Brussel sprouts from the stalk seem to taste fresher and have a richer taste.
Hope you had a great Sunday!
