“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;…
…they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness…
…The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
Lamentations 3:22-24
The winter sun provides interesting shadows under the pergola!
Even though we had no snow, we were in the deep freeze all week…fountains everywhere were frozen!
Stately homes line our historic district!
Winter offers beautiful tree architecture!
Old train trestle that spans the Coosa River in our hometown!
Looking from our lower pasture up the hill to the bare maples and oaks in our front yard!
Yes, I am an avid Alabama fan (can you believe Butch pulls for Auburn?)! Please indulge me, ROLL TIDE ROLL…BEAT GEORGIA!!!
Cows in the pasture nearby are very happy to see this winter buffet!
All that is left of our Christmas decor is the Charlie Brown tree on the patio!
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Since the Tide rolled right over my Clemson Tigers, I will be rooting for y’all in the Natty! Can’t believe I’m headed out to church in 15 degree weather in S.C. Our 3 acre pond has completely frozen over!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Roxanne, we will need all the help we can get to beat Georgia! We have a weather advisory for freezing rain tonight. Be safe as you go to church, it is 22 here so no problems going to church. BLESSINGS~

Happy Sunday, Pam. This was a treat in my mail this morning. Your area is so lovely. The frozen fountain is proof this last storm really had power to send brutal cold from the deep south to Maine. It was 2 on our back porch this morning. Love the pictures of the bare trees. Winter does provide beauty, which your photos clearly show.
Love the picture of your Charlie Brown tree. It is always hard for me to let go of Christmas. I have put some things away, but the tree will most likely be with us another week.
Thank you for a lovely post. Wishing you and yours a beautiful Sunday and a wonderful week.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Sandra. We had freezing rain this morning, but nothing serious!

Lovely photos of nature, a beautiful historical home, and a sweet looking church. But that “Roll Tide Beat Georgia,” now that is a photo I, of course, cannot agree with! Two great teams, that will probably give us lots of scary moments until the final score is known!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Have fun in NYC! I would love to be sharing coffee and a sweet treat in a fun little spot with you on this rainy Monday. Be safe?

I love to study the architecture of the trees this time of year. They are mighty and strong. The rivers here are just beautiful. It is 6 degrees here this morning. I watched the Rose Bowl..wow! Alabama is going to have to bring their “A” game. Aren’t you glad it is not Auburn??
Pam @ Everyday Living says
We had freezing rain this morning, nothing serious. Thank you Dianne. Alabama will have to stay focused, GA is tough!

Every photo is exquisite but that one of the tree from the window really draws me in. Most of my Christmas will be down by tomorrow. Today is Twelfth Night so I’ve left the trees (or most of them) but they’ll go off tomorrow. Santas are already down. I may string some pretty lights though. I miss those during the dark days of winter and I don’t care if they look too Christmas!

Your photos are always stunning. I live in a historic district too! Have a wonderful week. Good luck to Alabama!

Thank you Katie, we will need all the help we can get to beat Georgia!

Roll Tide Pam! I can’t believe Butch is an Au fan! Your Sunday photos are always breathtaking, and I hope you are spared the predicted wintery mix tonight…so tired of winter and it’s only the beginning!

Happy New Year Pam! The South has been in a deep freeze this past week. Frozen pipewere the results. But I see a warm up in the future. Spring will be here before you know it. Seasonal Affect Disorder plagues my sister every year so out come the full spectrum lights that are a great help for her until she can get outside and dig in her garden. Hope you and Butch escape the colds and flu that are going around. As for now make a cup of hot chocolate, sit by the Fire and read a good book.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Alice. We had freezing rain this morning. I stayed in most of last week, it was so cold for this Alabama girl. Your suggestion sounds perfect!

Hasn’t our weather been unusual to have low temps for so long? With the cold weather and holidays I am not quite back to normal.
Love all your pics especially the frozen fountain.
Making soups and chili and enjoying hot drinks by the fire.I’ve worn clothes I haven’t worn for years. Stay warm and well. Lots of sickness in our area.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yes, lots of flu and pneumonia around here. We had freezing rain this morning?

Beautiful photos as usual. The frozen fountain particularly caught my eye as our pool has frozen over for the first time in 12 years. Who knew it could be so cold in the South!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Cold it has been and we had freezing rain this morning!

Those are such nice photos. Very nice. I am a Cal fan but it was nice to see a San Francisco Bay Area kid-Najee Harris have a good game in the National Championship game. Next year the CFP Championship Game is here in the Bay Area at Levi’s Stadium.

I can always be guaranteed of some serious eye candy here, Pam. Your photos are stunning. It’s pretty chilly here in Mass. I let the dogs out and they turned around and wanted to come back in. Stay warm and have a wonderful week.
