“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”
John 15:12
Happy Thursday dear friends! I hope you’ve all had a wonder-filled week and are getting ready for Valentine’s Day next week! Here in Alabama, we have had lots of rain and gloomy skies over the past few days, but our weatherman says we are still in a a drought, so it is certainly welcome here!
You’ve probably noticed that I don’t change things up very often on tabletops or chests…maybe two or three times a year. But since I had bought the spray roses and carnations at the grocery store, I decided I should use them! I normally like to take photos with only natural light, but with the dark skies that wasn’t possible. Today, I invite you into our foyer for a Sweet & Simple Vignette!
I added a few accessories to the Maitland Smith chest in the foyer…
…conversation hearts from my How Sweet It Is Tablescape…
…”Lady Carlyle” cup and saucer by Royal Albert…
…and a sweet smelling bouquet!
The Dresden plate was a gift from a precious lady that was truly a Southern belle. I have sweet memories of her stories…she possessed that rare gift of storytelling!
Carleton Varney’s book was underneath a couple of books that were stacked on the chest. Its title and colors were perfect for this little vignette. The figurine is one of a pair made in Italy.
Thank you for your visits and the sweet comments. If you haven’t had time to check out the blog hop, you will enjoy all the lovely inspiration.

Lovely photos. My favorite is the second pic with the front door reflecting in the mirror with the light shining through. Very pretty vignette. Gorgeous roses.
We were blessed with lots of badly needed rain yesterday also.
Thank you Bonnie, it is raining here today.
Pam, this is such a beautiful vignette with the pretty pink roses and lovely china pieces. I love your Maitland Smith chest. I am always attracted to their pieces. It has been very cold and dreary here too. Take care and enjoy the rest of your week.

We’ve had our fair share of gray and gloomy in Houston since the first of the year, but today the sun burst out and held promise of things to come.
We had a gorgeous day yesterday, and rain today and tomorrow.

Thank you Rebecca!
Your home is beautiful and the furnishings are lovely.
Thanks so much, have a great week!
This vignette exudes Southern charm!!! I remember traveling to the South to visit relatives in Louisiana when I was a child. There was always an added charm to everything in my young eyes. I was very girly, and the houses and gardens and rituals were all right up my alley! To this day I find the spirit of Southern charm and grace to be the gold standard. Nicely done!
Alycia, you are truly one of the sweetest ladies in blogland!
I love your romantic vignette, Pam. So charming!…Christine
