“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 7:12
Happy Tuesday lovely friends! I hope your week is off to a great start. I am excited about an upcoming get-away that I am sure you will read about in the very near future!
We have had rain everyday for the past ten days…I thought we were going to float away! Major gloomy and gray skies have characterized our days here in the Appalachian Foothills. This week’s tablescape had me drawing a blank…I had zero ideas! Normally a trip to the grocery store for flowers would’ve sparked some inspiration, but when I went this week, it proved futile. There were leftover Valentine’s Day flowers, and they just didn’t reach out and grab me…so I came home empty handed! It was Saturday and still no inspiration…what’s a girl to do? But, around noon the sky turned blue with gorgeous sunshine. I started pulling out linens and dishware and then I had an idea…Granny Smith apples to the rescue!

When the light came on in my head, everything fell into place!
Pairing blue and green is always a favorite!
Granny Smith apples fill a soup tureen.
Dinner plates from Tuesday Morning, salad and dessert plates from TJ Maxx, and twig flatware from Pier 1 rest on striped placemats! Shh, don’t tell anyone…salad and dessert plates are melamine!
Silver napkin rings hold a perfect shade of blue napkins!
The swirl glasses were a find a few years ago at Tuesday Morning.
I just happened to have the apple green candles on hand!

Proverbs 29:11
Thank you for your visits and generous comments. They make my day!

Bright and cheerful, love it! I find inspiration in days of the year. Example: This Friday is Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day, and I have it all planned out. Lemonade Day, Frog Jumping Day, Quilting Day, ect, are some of the fun days you can use for ideas. My calendar is full!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Tammy, inspiration can come from anywhere!

Such a fresh and bright pairing of green and blue for this in-between time of year Pam! Your melamine looks like hand painted ceramic or stoneware and I love the pretty swirl glasses! I’ve seen some great looking melamine making an appearance on the shelves at HomeGoods and Pottery Barn…so patio and poolside friendly for summer entertaining. 🙂
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Mary, melamine is wonderful for picnics and patio!

Very pretty. I like the color combination. But, that tureen! FAB. U. LOUS!!! Can you tell us more about it, please?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Hi Marie, the tureen is by American Atelier in the “Baroque” pattern. Horchow did carry it, but that has been a few years ago.

Now I just love this look. Casual, preppy and sunny…the only missing was the sun! THat would be a great outdoor table too. Those glasses catch my attention each time you use them. I really like those.
Have fun on your getaway, Pam! Our anniversary is coming up, and we were just talking yesterday about where we might go…..:)
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Rita, you will have to let us know where you decide to go!

Nothing like the vibrancy of of Granny Smith green to inspire and bring excitement to the table! I understand that lack of inspiration when it comes to this weird dead space between the holidays and Spring. Sure, there are those single day special occasions, but nothing so compelling that ideas run amok. I totally get you, girl! Yes, ma’am…you gotta dig deep! You pegged the solution, though, by looking around you for innovation. Way to go! I really like the pattern in those Pier 1 plates, too!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Alycia, it is hard during these in between seasons. I hope you are recovering each and every day!

I would name this elegant spring table. It looks springy but not too springy — just right for this time of year. It’s raining here, too. I just did major flood mopping in the basement and check on it every 20 minutes to make sure I don’t need to begin again. Hope you are luckier!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Oh I am so sorry about your basement, Jeanie!

Lovely spring table, Pam. I have always been a huge fan of blue and green. There is just something about it that makes my heart happy. Your tureen is gorgeous and is so pretty filled with the green apples.
Today, here in the mountains, we are enjoying a sunny 70 plus degree day. A welcome treat after so much rain. Enjoy your trip and I hope you see blue skies and come home to sunshine!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Sandra. We had record breaking temps here yesterday!

Isn’t it amazing what can inspire a table? Here we’ve had lots of gray skies, a sharp contrast to the lovely season we had last year. I’m definitely ready for more than a sprinkling of sun.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I just never know where the inspiration will come from!

So fresh and inviting. Your tureen is an eye catcher for sure. So beautiful! Those glasses always look wonderful in every tablescape. Granny Smith apples were a perfect start to your table and having the apple green candles was perfect.
It’s been rainy and cold in Texas and now it is rainy and warm. We haven’t seen the sun the entire time we have been in Dallas and I think it is supposed to continue. But we are with family and it doesn’t matter. I think it is pretty warm in south Alabama.
Have fun on your trip.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Bonnie. It is very warm here with clouds and gray skies. Enjoy your trip!
