“For he grew up before him like a young plant,
and like a root out of dry ground;
he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him…
…He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
and as one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not…
…Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.”
Isaiah 53:2-4
Lake Gadsden offers a tranquil late afternoon scene!
Seasons transition slowly but surely. Each phase seems to possess it’s own unique beauty.
Canes offer a lot of interest as well as cover for wildlife but very aggressive and invasive!
This path takes on a totally different appearance as the seasons change.
Seared divers sea scallops with apple celery slaw and cauliflower cream sauce.
New growth and shades of green are emerging after a long winter nap!
“But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed…
…All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.”
Isiah 53:5-6
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

What beautiful photos to start this Holy Week. And that Ella Mae…what a beauty!
Yesterday we had over 50 people show up to work readying our new church for first services this week, ranging in age from 5 to 84! Even the tweens and teens were pushing wheelbarrows in the cold and drizzle and cleaning windows. Hope everyone has a blessed Palm Sunday.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Roxanne! We are so excited about what is happening at your church! To God be the Glory. Happy Palm Sunday!

The dogwood is a Poignant reminder of the cross and the words of Isaiah tell the story. Was away all day yesterday so I am enjoying this on Monday. Ella Mae is a beauty. I know what a joy she is to you. Let us all rejoice this Holy Week in the Resurrection power of Jesus Christ!

So beautiful! I want to plant some bamboo and have heard that if you run a roll of metal down in the ground around it, it can’t spread. What do you think? Ella Mae is adorable!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I asked my hubby and he had. Ever hard of using metal. He said don’t plant near your home. We have twenty acres, so the bamboo isn’t close.
Running says
You need to get “ clumping bamboo”. Even then I’d put it in a pot.
