“How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word…
…With my whole heart I seek you;
let me not wander from your commandments!…
…I have stored up your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you…
…Blessed are you, O Lord;
teach me your statutes!”
Psalms 119:9-12
A great day to pick strawberries at a local farm, but it could take a while to get a gallon!
It takes even longer to get a gallon if you eat some along the way. Ella Mae loves the patch and the berries!
Just remember, in the winter, far beneath the bitter snows; lies the seed that with the sun’s love…
… in the spring becomes the rose!

Chicken fried bacon with white gravy and a drizzle of honey! Different and delicious. An appetizer at Acre in Auburn, AL!
All this swing needs is someone to occupy it!

A wonderful memory, Ella Mae picking (eating) strawberries. I would love to be sitting in that swing looking out to the water and in 10 days I will be traveling to NC for my daughters and sisters birthdays and we will pick strawberries!

Good morning Alice. I am thrilled for your upcoming visit to NC and birthday celebrations! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Your little berry picker is just adorable! It reminds me of picking berries on my grandparents’ farm when I was about her age. Being low to the ground is a definite advantage and far easier on the back! What a lovely Sunday meditation today!

Thank you Jeanie…happy Sunday!

Pam, such a wonderful post. I love the photo of your garden with the fog in the background. There is something about fog that I think is beautiful. Of course the winner of today’s photos is Princess Ella Mae. She is so precious in that strawberry patch, all dressed for the occasion. And, thanks to you, I get to enjoy two springs. One in your area and in about a month, spring in WV. I can’t get over you have irises blooming – they are a good month away here.
Thanks for another beautiful Sunday morning, sweet friend. Have a glorious day with those you love.

Ella Mae in the strawberry patch is so very precious. Just doesn’t get any sweeter. I think Sandra already said we are enjoying your spring and the flowers blooming. Hopefully I will have more soon. I haven’t put out anything new waiting for warmer temps. Happy Sunday evening and have a good week.

I can taste the luscious strawberries! Would you believe I’ve never made it to a strawberry patch. I hear about people that go and read about it and I can’t figure out where my time goes. Except to say, we stay on the road. Traveled to our daughters this weekend.
Ella Mae looks precious enjoying the strawberries. Great memories.
Love the rainbow on the falls and the iris and rose photos. Have a great week. Be back in a few weeks.
