“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11
Hello sweet friends and welcome to a special edition of Tablescape Tuesday! Before Everyday Living got up and running in 2014, I was familiar with Between Naps On The Porch. Susan’s beautiful tablescapes were always making their way to my Pinterest boards. I knew she was the real deal in the blogging world before I even knew anything about it! Being the extremely creative and talented blogger that she is, you will find everything from travel to fashion to products that she has discovered and so much more when you visit Between Naps On The Porch! Now that I have been blogging for a while and connected with her through her link parties, I have learned that she is also very kind and generous…she genuinely cares about her readers. This week she is reaching a milestone and it’s a big one! It will be her 500th Tablescape Thursday! In honor of the celebration, she suggested that we share our 10 most favorite tablescapes for the occasion and I am thrilled to do so! As I looked back over the 191 tables that I have shared, many were attached to memories…some involved the making of a memory…there were lots of special occasions…and some were just for fun! It wasn’t easy to pick just ten favorites, but I finally narrowed it down! You won’t find them in any specific order, I just hope you enjoy looking back with me today as we dip into the archives! Be sure to visit Susan on Thursday…I am sure there will be lots of gorgeous tables!

Whether gracing a table or a room, blue and white will always be one of my favorites. This table was set in the garden as the limelight hydrangeas were in full bloom.
I wanted a classic and elegant setting, so I moved my very heavy dining room chairs to surround the table. As the sun was setting, candles were lit and music was playing in the background, it created a magical alfresco table!
I had this brilliant idea to set up a table under our old oak tree. It is quite a distance from our house to this spot on our lower side yard. I had to recruit Katy, our chosen daughter, for this one. I could have never pulled it off without her help. It was by far the most challenging tablescape I’ve ever done. We took turns steaming the very large drop cloth on the patio and then carefully transferring it to prevent wrinkles. I wish you could have seen how many times we went from the house to the oak tree…we lost count!
About the time I finished photographing and we were about to sit down for a break, the sunny afternoon turned dark and down came the rain! It was memorable to say the least…running back and forth to haul everything to the house and getting wet. Of course after we had everything put away and in from the rain, the sun came out and it was a beautiful afternoon!
Christmas tables are always my favorite. The First Noel was inspired because of my love for music and a tablescape that was in Southern Lady Magazine!
During the Christmas season, we have the opportunity to go-all-out on our table settings…and I take advantage! I do enjoy a little glitz and glam!
Combining two of my favorites, tartan and blue/white, made this Christmas and birthday table one I really loved. It also had lots of pins on Pinterest!
Can you guess what the tartan table covering is made of? Wrapping paper! No laundering or ironing necessary!
Autumn is my favorite season and I can’t resist a fall alfresco tablescape! The new plaid tablecloth was the inspiration for this one!
You can imagine my excitement when I was scrolling through Instagram and saw this photo on Southern Lady Magazine’s feed! The vintage napkin held with an embellished napkin ring announced that Autumn had arrived!
Nestled in the Grasses was inspired by the colorful paisley tablecloth and all the comments I have received concerning the Adagio ornamental grasses.
I love to use gifts that have been given to me for tablescapes. The pretty pink vases holding zinnias is a sweet gift from Katy! The stemware (which seems to be many of my readers’ favorite) was a gift from a friend many years ago!
I chose this tablescape because of its simplicity and that it was set on my kitchen island! The inspiration was the April Cornell napkins.
Fresh cut herbs and Granny Smith apples were placed on a charcuterie board for an easy centerpiece. Butch and I often have breakfast at the kitchen island!
A Sweet Discovery is an extremely special tablescape. The tablecloth was the inspiration with its beautiful floral pattern and colors…
…but the cloth has a precious memory attached. It was made for my Mother’s 70th Birthday party that I hosted.
The Endless Summer tablescape was chosen because it was fun to create and it was also my first time participating in a tablescape blog hop!
The centerpiece is one of my all-time favorites that was inspired by Southern Lady Magazine. I know I have mentioned this magazine several times, but I find so many ideas from its pages!
Is there a sweeter smell than a hyacinth? This tablescape ushered in the first day of spring with plates that feature butterflies, birds, and bunnies!
Thank you for reminiscing with me. I would love to know which one of these would you pick as your favorite or if you remember one that I did not choose, Be sure to visit Between Naps On The Porch this Thursday for Susan’s 500th Tablescape Thursday! I will be sharing this post!

Oh my goodness, Pam ! These are so beautiful and I love them all. However, if I had to choose, it would be the gorgeous table under the oak tree. This one makes my heart leap! You are a talented soul and I am so happy that I found you!
Have a beautiful week!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Sandra. I need to do another table under the oak tree❤️

Goodness gracious!! How does one go about picking a favorite here! They are all so beautiful, so elegant, so inspiring! This is a great encyclopedic post…something I can go back for ideas each season!
Thanking God for your selflessness to share & inspire! ?

Thank you my sweet friend!?
Gail says
I pick all 10. I love how you change colors, themes, even stemware to reveal a beautiful, thought filled tablescape.

How sweet and thank you Gail!

My favorite in the first one. The blue and white set in the garden. I just love blue and white. I love all your tablesettings. I’m in awe (and maybe a teensy bit envious?) of all your dishes and glassware. I sometimes regret all the things I gave away through the years. I look forward to your tablescapes each week. I also love Susan’s blog and tablescapes every week.
One question. Is it hard to maintain the grass that grows in between the big pavers? All of your garden areas are definitely “to die for”.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Nancy, so many of us blue and white. My hubby does all the maintenance and it hasn’t been too hard to keep. We wanted pea gravel, but decided it would wash too easily.
the Painted Apron says
It was fun to see which ones you chose Pam! I am participating in the anniversary celebration too, wasn’t it hard to pick only 10?!! May of these tables are favorites of mine too…I can’t seem to pick only one, but I have always loved the kitchen island breakfast and the dining chairs outside. Your tables are always beautiful, upbeat and welcoming! We just got a new table at the beach and of course the very first thing I did was a tablescape!!

Jenna, I can’t wait to see your ten and your new table at the beach!

Yes having a hard time picking a favorite, there is so much work and love in each one. The setting under the oak tree is my fav and your backstory makes it sweeter.

I would love to do another table under the oak tree. Perhaps in the near future!

I think you ARE the original Southern Lady and your praise there is well deserved! (I still am so grateful I won your drawing — that’s probably the one magazine I will renew in time!). Every single image is publication worth and so very beautiful. I especially love the al fresco settings, oh — and all that BLUE! What a fun post!
Pam @ Everyday Living says

What a gorgeous round-up of your top 10 favorite tables Pam! I’m hard pressed to pick a favorite but I think it would have to be your table under the old oak tree! All your alfresco tables are magazine worthy! I’m working on a round up today, it’s hard to narrow it down to 10.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Mary! With all of your beautiful ones, I can’t imagine choosing only 10!

I love them all but blue and white always seems to be my favorite combination. The setting underneath the tree is so pretty. I am biting at the bits to have the time and weather cooperate and do an outside setting by my pond. I will have to tune in on Thursday, Susan has always had some beautiful tablescapes. Hope you have a great day. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much, Cindy! You are a sweetheart!
Katie Clooney says
Susan… I come to your blog when I need some eye candy. You never let me down. I love every one of these gorgeous tablescapes. The one under oak tree with your “assistant” Katie was well worth the effort. Have a wonderful week.

Thank you Katie!

I think I gasped in awe the first time I saw your table under the oak tree!!! That is one of my all time favorites of not just your tables but of all Tablescape Thursdays tables. Nestled in the Grasses was another favorite of mine. You have set so many gorgeous tables, I am sure it was hard to pick just ten. It has been wonderful going back and seeing all of these beautiful table settings!

Pam, all of our tablescapes are always gorgeous. Each week I look forward to seeing what you have designed. I love your gardens and find your outdoor tablescapes as stunning as those in your dining room.
Christine @ Rustic-Refined.com says
Love seeing all the different ones inside and out. I am always so inspired by your backyard space especially! It’s kind of funny but whenever my back hurts from weeding or hauling mulch and I am ready to quit…..I peek at your backyard space and I am ready to grab the aspirin and get back out there. You should do some youtube videos. I binge watch GardenAnswer all the time and I am thinking you would give them a run for their youtube money. 🙂
Alycia Nichols says
Yepper…..you chose some outstanding ones! The blue and white goes without question as to why! Something about that color combo that is simply undeniable. The one in the field was one I would have chosen, too, hands down! I don’t know how long it took to haul all of that to and from, but the end result was totally worth it!!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much, Alycia! As you know, hauling is a lot of work! LOL
Nancy says
I remember Susan and her blog from years ago. Along with Mary from Home is where the Boat Is! Now YOU have become a special blog I look forward to.
My favorite out of all the gorgeous tablescapes has to be the one under the big Oak Tree that had to take a lot of work to set up!
Thank you for such a beautiful blog!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Nancy, you are so sweet! I can’t wait for your trip posts!
