“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Psalms 46:10
Happy Tuesday lovely friends. I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day Weekend. My weekend was extremely busy, but it was loads of fun. Butch took me to my favorite French cafe, Chez Fonfon for dinner on Friday evening. Saturday was Ella Mae’s birthday, can you believe she is two?!! Her Mommy planned the sweetest party, I hope to share soon. My sister-in-love had the family for Mother’s Day lunch, which was delicious. I didn’t cook all weekend, how perfect is that!!!
Late Sunday afternoon I set a table in the garden with 90 degree temperatures. It seems that we have jumped right into summer! I was inspired by the wildflowers growing in our lower pasture and along the roadside, free for the clipping!
Much-used white dinner plates and salad plates with a yellow border and a blue flower were a perfect complement for the wildflowers.
I purchased four of these tablecloths on sale at Pottery Barn several years ago for a party!
Bottles make for a very easy centerpiece… you might want to give it a try!
” A word fitly spoken
is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
Butch has identified the wildflowers… Ragwort and Coreopsis, both members of the Aster family!
Thank you for your visits and taking time to leave sweet comments. They really make my day. With Memorial Day fast approaching, I will be joining my lovely blogging friends this Friday for a patriotic Floral Friday!

Hop on over Cath!
Haha!
Love blue, yellow & white together. This is simple and beautiful.
Thanks so much Rita!
Pam, this has to be one of my most favorites. I do love the deep blue and the yellow/gold, simply gorgeous. The plates with the yellow band and blue flowers could not have been more perfect. I would thoroughly enjoy myself at this fabulous table.
So happy you had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend.
Thank you dearest Sandra, have a wonderful day in your garden!❤️
It’s gorgeous, Pam. Blue and yellow is one of my favorite color combos so this table is a particular favorite. Although I’ve not been to the South of France, it certainly seems provencal to me!
Thank you Jeanie. Hopefully you plan a trip to the South of France!
Pam, you know I love this since I love blue and yellow! Another beautiful post.
Thank you sweet friend!
What a beautiful table, Pam! I love yellow and blue together, and the navy blue tablecloth makes a stunning backdrop to your pretty setting. It has been in the 90s here too. I think we missed spring! Enjoy your day, sweet friend!
Shannon, I hope your kitchen reno is going well! Where did Spring go?
Just lovely as usual..simple elegance. Anxiously waiting on birthday blog!

Blue and yellow, my favorite combo! I’m so glad Butch has identified the plants as we have them too…I guess I will stop thinking of them as weeds and pick them!
Roxanne, go and cut you a bouquet of wildflowers!
Ah, bottles…..my favorite containers. With your bright blue and yellow you’ve jumped right into summer which is surely the case in Houston.
Yes, it feels like summer!
Pam, I love this tablescape! It is very French looking. The wildflowers are so pretty and fresh looking. Blue, yellow and white colors are always such a great combination. It sounds as though you had a very special weekend. You always amaze me with your energetic way of doing things….You just always go all out….I don’t think that you have any other way of doing things..It has to be beautiful and thoughtful with a sense of spontaneity…and always special. Betty
There’s just something about blue and yellow!
The flowers in the bottle vases is fabulous. But the wooden caddy holding them makes it perfect!
Lovely garden backdrop!
Gorgeous my friend!!??
Thank you Nancy! ???
Your table doesn’t look like it was 90 degrees! But I believe you! It was quite a shock for us to get home to summer weather.
I love the wildflowers and your tablecloth. Your dish choices worked so nicely with your setting and centerpiece.
Look forward to your Floral Friday post. Sure comes around fast!
Thank you Bonnie! It was miserable late Sunday afternoon. I was trying to photograph for three blog posts. I won’t ever attempt that again?
I applaud you for getting out there in the sweltering heat (it’s WAY too early for that!) to create this cheerful table!
It was pretty miserable, thank you Alycia!
I love the combination of blue and yellow. So pretty.
Marion
Thank you Marion! Have a good week!
The table setting is so lovely. I love those dishes.
Joan
Thanks so much, Joan!
This tablescape is lovely and elegant. Thank You for sharing.
Marilyn
My pleasure, thank you Marilyn!
Just beautiful Pam! You can’t beat free-for-the-picking wildflowers and I love the them placed in your bottles as a centerpiece for your table! They’re perfect paired with your yellow rimmed plates and beautiful tablecloth. The part of our field next door with the abundance of oxeye daisies and bachelor buttons was mowed last week…sniff. I always hate to see them go. It was crazy hot here until this system bringing us rain rolled through. We’re going to be very wet the next couple of days, I wish I could send some your way ♥
Thank you Mary, I do love using what I have. We have someone that cuts our hay for and he usually cuts when Queen Anne’s Lace is in bloom. I always hate to see them go, also!
How beautiful table and set up! Brava Pam! Love your centerpiece, easy and elegant at the same time.??????
Gorgeous!!! Pam – love this one! The deep blue color of the beautiful table cloth just sets off your yellow plates and flowers so well. It is simple yet very elegant. Thanks for battling the heat to give us such a wonderful visual treat!!
Thank you Ann, I like simple with a touch of elegance!
Just gorgeous Pam! The yellow and blue are making me long for my daisy and cosmos to hurry up and bloom! Such a stunning table.
Thank you Christine!

Pam blue and yellow is such a lovely pairing. Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!
Thank you so much Laura. Happy Memorial Day Weekend to you!
Very pretty! You can always tell when summer is on its way — the golden flowers begin to bloom! Although coreopsis cultivars come in other colors, I like the gold ones the best.
Thank you so much, Sandra!
Pam, I have always loved this color combination. I have a blue and yellow guest bedroom and I use it in my garden too. Your tablescape is so lovely! It’s been a pleasure joining the blog hop and party with you! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
