“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Psalms 119:105
Happy Thursday lovely friends! Can you believe that May is almost gone? Have you made your plans for the Memorial Day Weekend? We always stay home and Butch is the grill-master whipping up hamburgers and hot dogs! I contribute the sides and home-made ice cream!
We have had lots of clouds with little sunshine for several days and very little rain at our house! With camera in hand, I decided to spend a cloudy evening in the garden on Tuesday! I would love for you to join me, and be sure to scroll down to the bottom for a fun announcement!
My garden is very late this year. Normally, there would be flowers in bloom. We had an extremely late freeze that has delayed growth and blooms.
The weather did not impact the Adagio Maiden Grasses (behind the table)…
…Renaissance Man cut them way back during late winter and they seem to be thriving!
Sunshine Ligustrums are in the foreground with Limelight Hydrangeas behind. I love the different shades of green and textures!
This is the first day lily to bloom, they normally begin blooming the first of May…
…it is named Bold Awakening!
Thyme continues blooming and it is one of my favorite herbs for cooking!
I am loving the Indigo Frost Agapanthus…
The bronze statue (actually a fountain) is the centerpiece of the garden.
Knock-out roses have really shown out this spring, now they are a little spent but no worries, they have continuous blooms!
The vine growing on the fence behind the workshop was supposed to be a grapevine. It comes back every spring, but we have no clue what it might be.
Thank you for spending a little time with me in the garden. I love your visits and comments, they make my day!
I am excited to once again host the Gardens Galore Link-Up Party! Last year we had so much fun, and I cannot wait to see what you all will share again this year! The party will run every three weeks beginning on Monday, June 4 at 7 a.m. central daylight savings time. Please link only gardening posts or subjects relating to gardening. You may link posts from previous years. I can’t wait to party in the garden with you all!

It does take a lot of work, but I actually love it!

Always such a treat to see your beautiful garden, Pam. It is amazing to see how much further along your garden is compared to ours. Our day lilies do not usually bloom until late June or the first part of July.
Happy Memorial Weekend to you and yours!

Thank you dear Sandra! Wishing you a Happy Memorial Day

Looks like everything is thriving! I really love the mystery vine…because it IS a mystery. We have a trumpet honeysuckle in full bloom now, and the hummingbirds are going crazy. That is really a great vine to plant with its long red, tubular flowers. We’ve been getting so much rain I can’t even get the grass mowed. But, my oh my, everything is lush and green!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I used to have a trumpet vine, I love the red tubular flowers. We still haven’t had much rain, but that will change next week with the system in the gulf. Happy Memorial Day!

I always love a visit to your beautiful garden. Even though there is not a lot of blooming going on yet, that gorgeous lily is a hint of what is to come. I really can’t wait to get my back yard finished, but alas, it will have to wait until after the addition and the pool. No sense planting things only to see them torn out!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I know your back yard will be beautiful when you finish! Thanks Chloe~

Wow! I wish I could “borrow” you for awhile to help with some much needed landscaping here at my humble abode. We’re doing a little and I mean ‘little’ at a time. We so neglected this part of our home but are now getting serious but what work to start from scratch and not knowing exactly how to go about it but maybe in time… We’ve lived here 30 plus years and are making a slow go go it. Your garden is gorgeous!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Belinda! We have been in our home 39 years and we installed the garden in 2015, it remains a work in progress. Hang in there!

Wow it’s always a treat to see your gardens. That adagio maiden grass is amazing- so large too! How appropriately named is that lily since it’s your first bloom! Bold Awakening is WELL NAMED! Woo hoo — that’s glorious. Someone just gave me an agapanthus. I need to look up how to care for it. She said up here we need to take them in during the winter. Seems like one of those creatures you’d read about in a children’s book. And thyme is my favorite too.

Thank you dearest Jeanie, Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
