“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Psalms 119:105
Happy Thursday lovely friends! Can you believe that May is almost gone? Have you made your plans for the Memorial Day Weekend? We always stay home and Butch is the grill-master whipping up hamburgers and hot dogs! I contribute the sides and home-made ice cream!
We have had lots of clouds with little sunshine for several days and very little rain at our house! With camera in hand, I decided to spend a cloudy evening in the garden on Tuesday! I would love for you to join me, and be sure to scroll down to the bottom for a fun announcement!
My garden is very late this year. Normally, there would be flowers in bloom. We had an extremely late freeze that has delayed growth and blooms.
The weather did not impact the Adagio Maiden Grasses (behind the table)…
…Renaissance Man cut them way back during late winter and they seem to be thriving!
Sunshine Ligustrums are in the foreground with Limelight Hydrangeas behind. I love the different shades of green and textures!
This is the first day lily to bloom, they normally begin blooming the first of May…
…it is named Bold Awakening!
Thyme continues blooming and it is one of my favorite herbs for cooking!
I am loving the Indigo Frost Agapanthus…
The bronze statue (actually a fountain) is the centerpiece of the garden.
Knock-out roses have really shown out this spring, now they are a little spent but no worries, they have continuous blooms!
The vine growing on the fence behind the workshop was supposed to be a grapevine. It comes back every spring, but we have no clue what it might be.
Thank you for spending a little time with me in the garden. I love your visits and comments, they make my day!
I am excited to once again host the Gardens Galore Link-Up Party! Last year we had so much fun, and I cannot wait to see what you all will share again this year! The party will run every three weeks beginning on Monday, June 4 at 7 a.m. central daylight savings time. Please link only gardening posts or subjects relating to gardening. You may link posts from previous years. I can’t wait to party in the garden with you all!

Beautiful flowers, Pam! Your garden is greening up nicely too. So glad you are doing the garden linkups again.
Thank you Carole. Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
Love your garden, Pam! The Maiden grasses, Rosemary, unknown vine, Thyme, Bold Awakening, stones and statues are so pretty. I would want to spend a lot of time out in your garden. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Hope you have some sunshine!
Thank you so much for strolling the garden with me. Wishing you a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!
Your garden is beautiful in every season, sunny or cloudy! The maiden grasses are my favorite part…I hope Mother Nature doesn’t rain out your BBQ this weekend!
Jenna
Thank you Jenna!
Beautiful garden! And I am sure that it takes a lot of time to keep it looking so beautiful.
It does take a lot of work, but I actually love it!
Always such a treat to see your beautiful garden, Pam. It is amazing to see how much further along your garden is compared to ours. Our day lilies do not usually bloom until late June or the first part of July.
Happy Memorial Weekend to you and yours!
Thank you dear Sandra! Wishing you a Happy Memorial Day
Love your garden, Pam! It looks like a perfect place to quiet your thoughts and really relax.
Thank you Jean, we do enjoy time spent there.
Looks like everything is thriving! I really love the mystery vine…because it IS a mystery. We have a trumpet honeysuckle in full bloom now, and the hummingbirds are going crazy. That is really a great vine to plant with its long red, tubular flowers. We’ve been getting so much rain I can’t even get the grass mowed. But, my oh my, everything is lush and green!
I used to have a trumpet vine, I love the red tubular flowers. We still haven’t had much rain, but that will change next week with the system in the gulf. Happy Memorial Day!
Your garden is so beautiful and established. We are just beginning our garden at this house we just had built.
I know your garden will be beautiful! Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
Well the clouds certainly don’t detract from its beauty. It’s a lovely garden indeed. 🙂
Thank you Elizabeth, Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

I simply love your garden Pam. It is just beautiful. You certainly have a green thumb
Thank you so much Aurora. Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
You could offer garden tours. Your gardens are amazing! Excited about Gardens Galore. My flowers are late blooming but they are coming on.
Thank you Dianne, have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!
I agree with with Joy. You should have a walking tour of your garden, especially whn the sunflowers are in bloom?
Sounds like a great idea! Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
Gorgeous Pam! I always enjoy taking a stroll/scroll 😉 in your garden! We’ve had a very wet spring with more in the forecast this weekend. I wish I could send some your way. I’m thrilled to hear Gardens Galore is returning. I’ll have to get to work! I was enjoying some cloud cover this morning while deadheading. Happy Memorial Day Weekend ♥
Thank you Mary, enjoy your weekend!
I always love a visit to your gorgeous garden! Everything looks beautiful! I hope that you have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!!!
Thank you sweet friend and Happy Memorial Day Weekend to you!
Beautiful! I just realized, studying your photos, that we have space to make a round raised bed similar to yours. I’m going to study on that some more!
Happy Weekend. 😉
Thank you Stacey, Happy Weekend to you!
Wow, your garden is coming to life! We got a bill today from Maine that makes me hope some preliminary work has been done on ours. I can’t wait to play in the dirt. Have a very good weekend.
Thank you Linda, wishing you a wonderful weekend!
I love seeing your beautiful gardens!!! Have a most wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!…you know what I will be doing 🙂
Thank you Shirley. I am thinking of you❤️
I always love a visit to your beautiful garden. Even though there is not a lot of blooming going on yet, that gorgeous lily is a hint of what is to come. I really can’t wait to get my back yard finished, but alas, it will have to wait until after the addition and the pool. No sense planting things only to see them torn out!
I know your back yard will be beautiful when you finish! Thanks Chloe~
Wow! I wish I could “borrow” you for awhile to help with some much needed landscaping here at my humble abode. We’re doing a little and I mean ‘little’ at a time. We so neglected this part of our home but are now getting serious but what work to start from scratch and not knowing exactly how to go about it but maybe in time… We’ve lived here 30 plus years and are making a slow go go it. Your garden is gorgeous!!
Thank you Belinda! We have been in our home 39 years and we installed the garden in 2015, it remains a work in progress. Hang in there!
I sure can tell you and hubby have spent endless hours perfecting your gardens. They are just beautiful. Can’t wait to see it as we progress through the summer season and into fall. Gorgeous.
Thank you Judy, it is a work in progress!
Pam, even without a lot of blooms, your garden is stunning! Love the color of that gorgeous Lily! And wow, those grasses are huge and stately! Looking forward to your garden party. Thanks for sharing with ours and SYC. 🙂
hugs,
Jann
Thank you Jann!
Pam, I am always full of envy looking at your gorgeous garden. Whether cloudy or sunny, it’s always spectacular. The grasses are quite impressive. love seeing the fountains and benches. Beautiful blooms surrounding you are a joy. See you at the garden party. Have a great Memorial Day weekend.
Thank you so much Linda!
Wow it’s always a treat to see your gardens. That adagio maiden grass is amazing- so large too! How appropriately named is that lily since it’s your first bloom! I wish I could grow agapanthus up here- it’s such a fun flower. Looking forward to your garden party- thanks for joining ours! Have a great holiday weekend!
Thank you Liz, Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
Bold Awakening is WELL NAMED! Woo hoo — that’s glorious. Someone just gave me an agapanthus. I need to look up how to care for it. She said up here we need to take them in during the winter. Seems like one of those creatures you’d read about in a children’s book. And thyme is my favorite too.
Thank you dearest Jeanie, Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
Oh my, your gardens are just lovely! So refined and elegant, far from the madhouse in my gardens!!
Thank you Debbie!
Spectacular! Gorgeous gardens! I enjoyed strolling along with you! Happy Memorial Weekend!
Thank you Nancy. Continued safe travels!

Pam, it’s always a treat to stroll your gardens! I’m adding the Bold Awakening to my plant list. It is a gorgeous day lily. I look forward to the Gardens Galore linky party. Thank you!
You won’t be disappointed with the Bold Awakening lily! Happy Memorial Day, Sarah!
You have such a lovely mix of flowers and plants. Great photos of your garden — overcast days make the best pics! Really brings out the colors.
Thank you Sandra!
