“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
Hello dear friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and your week is off to a good start. We finally received some much needed rain even though it interrupted my tablescape schedule. My original plan was to set the table in the garden for photos on Saturday evening. Five minutes before I was going out, it started raining. I was so excited to see the rain, I was perfectly ok to miss taking pictures. Plan B was to set up on Sunday evening. After getting very dark with lots of wind, the rain started coming down in sheets. Plan C was one more try last evening. It was cloudy all afternoon and started sprinkling around 5:00. By 6:30 the clouds had cleared and there was no rain on the radar. Finally, the third time was a charm.
I found a really nice linen tablecloth at TJ Maxx last week. I doubled it to make it work on the round table. You may remember that I had misplaced my linen tablecloth. I am sure that it will now turn up since I bought one.
Godinger Dublin iced beverage goblets are from Neiman Marcus several years ago, but they are still available.
Blush dinner plates from Hobby Lobby and Johnson Bros “Rose Chintz” salad plates rest on quilted floral placemats.
Chaste tree blooms were cut and placed in laboratory beakers.
Everyday stainless by Reed & Barton…
…and crystal votives complete the table!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
The hydrangea is my first bloom for the year. They are blooming three to four weeks late. I have several more that will be in full bloom in a couple of days, but not nearly as many blooms as last year. I guess it was our late frost.
Thank you for your visits and taking time to comment! Wishing you a joy-filled day!

Charm is right! At least the garden got watered!

It was desperate for rain instead of sprinkler!

We’ve dodged so many storms, I am always relieved when the rains do come in my garden, but I can certainly understand your decorating dilemma! Your tablescape is very pretty. The tablecloth looks vintage, I love that. Very feminine and pleasing, worth the patience for setting up in the garden, the perfect backdrop for the details.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Rita. Have a wonderful Tuesday!
Bonnie Morgan says
Hopefully, it was a little cooler after the rain to set up. The humidity has been so high here. Your table looks so pretty. I love your colors. The chaste tree blooms in beakers opposite your hydrangea blossom was a clever mix of proportion and color and texture. I like the way you slid the placemats over the edge adding another dimension to compliment your dishes and really caught my eye.
Have a great week.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Bonnie, humidity is off the chart here. Have a beautiful Tuesday.
Linda says
So lovely Pam. Love the romantic plates. The flowers add so much beauty to your table in the garden. Rain must have been needed. Not fun when trying to set a table outdoors. Have a great week.

Thank you for visiting, Linda!

Pam, so lovely. Love your tablecloth and the blush pinks to go along. I am especially fond of the Johnson Brothers Rose Chintz. It has tempted me for years, but clearly more china is the last thing I need. Your tables are always so gorgeous in your beautiful garden.
Happy you received rain. We have been promised rain today and we are also having high temps and humidity. Although, I am sure not quite like what you are seeing.
Have a wonderful day and week ~ stay cool!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you sweet friend. Hopefully you get rain and a little cool down!

So dainty and its my favorite. We came back from a trip yesterday afternoon and I walked around the yard looking at the new blooms. One hour later we had a down pour and hail that destroyed the bloons. Am so blessed to have a safe flight home especially after the hard landing we experienced, that a little hail is not a big issue. God Bless.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Hi Alice, did you go on vacation? I am so sorry the hail destroyed your blooms. Those hard landings are not fun. I am glad you are safe.

We visited our daughter in Olympia, Wa and our friends on Whidbey Island. I told my hubby I wanted to eat sea food every day. I did and it was wonderful. The views from our friends home overlooking Admiralty inlet was looking toward the west and the sun sets were wonderful. Who new nuclear subs came and went past their home. Yikes! Their gardens belong in a magazine.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Alice, that sounds like a heavenly trip! I would love to see photos of their gardens. The climate is great in the Northwest for gardening. Happy Friday

The table setting is pretty, worth the wait to set outdoors! I know you said in prior post that garden furniture was painted white. Is furniture cast iron or aluminum? I painted my cast aluminum w/o etching first and now the paint keeps peeling off? Tips??
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Hi Nancy, thank you for your sweet comments. I have both iron and aluminum. I like aluminum because it
doesn’t rust. I don’t have any tips, my husband just spray paints it. The table and chairs in the garden are aluminum.

The Rose Chintz China caught my eye first thing! The plates are so pretty. My grandmother has a very similar china pattern, and I always admire it. The third time was indeed a charm as your tablescape turned out just beautiful! I agree with Shirley…it does look like a setting in a gorgeous English garden. Happy Tuesday, sweet friend!

Great use of beakers, Pam! You surprised me when you said the blooms were from your chaste tree — I thought they were Buddleia davidii flowers. I’ve never seen chaste tree panicles in anything but white.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Hi Sandra. I have only seen the chaste in the purple blooms! I will have to look it up and do a little research.

Pam, this is such a lovely table! Set in your garden, I can only imagine what a joy it would be to gather for a meal here. I adore the pink plates…Hobby Lobby?! Who knew! If I didn’t already have an extra closet in my garage filled with stacks of entertaining dishes I’d be tempted, I love their shape.

Pam, I just love the pinks and a wonderful new linen tablecloth. Beautiful crystal pieces add elegance and romance to your table. Your first hydrangea is the star! Our weather patterns have certainly been unusual…so hot and humid in the mountains with temps in 90’s. Have a great day.

Thank you sweet friend.

Just beautiful Pam! I can so relate to the trials and tribulations of setting a table outdoors…high winds and humidity, blazing sun, stormy weather and rain is not for the faint of heart when it comes to alfresco dining and tablescaping! I love your pretty chaste tree blooms in your beakers and hydrangea blooms. Our chaste tree we planted last spring has its first buds.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Mary and Happy Gardening!

Gorgeous!!! So pretty, such a soft palette of color. Your table compliments or garden or vice versa!! I am glad you were finally able to set this wonderful table despite of your weather. You mentioned much needed rain – here we are getting rain almost every day – we are kind of tired of it – but on the other hand – everyone’s garden and yard looks beautiful.
