“Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands…
Isaiah 49:16a
Happy Wednesday dear friends! I am a day late posting Tablescape Tuesday, it seems that there are more things to do than there is time these days. Last Saturday it reached 97 degrees with stiff winds all afternoon. I had planned a table in the garden, but the winds were going to be an issue. I moved to our little picnic area that is more protected and very shaded. With autumn on my mind and the summer heat bearing down, this tablesetting became slightly summer and slightly fall.
My thoughts and prayers continue for all who are experiencing the heart wrenching effects of Florence.

We are enjoying this little picnic area away from the garden. We just had a large pine tree removed and are considering making a small shaded garden. This area borders a densely wooded area where our large deer population likes to hang out. If we do decide on a small garden, we will have to use deer-resistant plants for sure.
My zinnias are still blooming, so they are definitely the summer on the table with a little lantana mixed in!
Rust-colored napkins and candles are the fall elements.
Candles nestled in coffee beans add an earthy fragrance!
Bottles make an easy centerpiece especially when placed in a box.
The dinner plates are a blush shade with a gold rim and along with the gold flatware and crystal stemware add a touch of elegance to the rustic table.
I added a few pine cones for texture.
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
The sun dappled table makes for a pretty early evening setting!

Dear Pam, what a beautiful table you have prepared for this “autumn-summer” that you tell us there is for those lands. Here we do not rise more than 27 degrees Celsius (about 80 degrees Fahrenheit), so it’s fine weather.
The color describes very well the situation of the moment. It’s autumn but you give it an autumnal pink tone that is very beautiful.
Always your presentations are very good, the details very successful, I love them …

Dolores, gracias querido amigo. Mañana es el primer día de otoño, pero nuestras temperaturas aún serán extremadamente cálidas. Para el final de la próxima semana, se supone que se enfriará. ¡Que tengas un hermoso amigo de fin de semana!

Pam… what a romantic table setting. I LOVE zinnias. When I went to camp, my cabin’s name was Zinnia and I’ve loved them ever since. Your photography, as always is gorgeous. Have you ever thought of doing a post on how to take a good photo? Have a wonderful week and thanks for the eye candy.

Thank you Katie. You are so kind about my photography. I am really a novice and don’t know much about it at all. Happy first day of fall tomorrow!

I really do love the color and simplicity of the zinnia arrangement. It’s just the right size, so cheerful and easy to do. I love the box the vases sit in, too. It pulls it all together. I confess I’ve done multiple vase things but the box is what makes it and I need to find something similar for the future. I love blogging.
By the way, saw another lovely pic of yours in the new Southern Lady! They must LOVE you — they should do a feature on your gardens!

Thank you sweet Jeanie. I found that box at TJ Maxx for $6.99.

Love your casually elegant table the blends the seasons Pam! I’m beyond ready for some fall temps and lower humidity! We had an extremely couple of blustery days even after Florence passed through, blowing a tree down and into the lake behind our property. Look forward to seeing you Friday ♥

What a beautiful pairing of colors and elements for your late summer/early fall table. Love the soft blue dishes and how they look on the wood surface. The zinnnias are so cheerful. I’m so glad I planted some this year. 97 deg. is pretty hot for September! Our temps are cooler up here now and it’s definitely beeping like fall. It was a pretty dry summer and I’ve noticed some trees are already turning. I hope the fall colors won’t come on too early!

Meant to say “blush” dishes and *feeling like fall. ?
