“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
Psalms 139:14
The Chapel of the Transfiguration was constructed in 1925 in this magnificent setting about 12 miles north of Jackson, Wyoming!
This is the view from inside the chapel as you sit in your church pew. The grand Teton is directly above the cross.
A perfect October day in north Alabama and the harvest is underway!
We are working on a new area to picnic and enjoy more of the outdoors.
We met these two over 7 years ago on a visit to their village in Togo, West Africa. They have grown into fine looking young men!
We found a local spot in Jackson where they served up a fine burger and onion rings. Slipped in a milk shake too!
A creative way to use old skis and build a privacy fence.
A hen mallard was enjoying a wonderful fall day on the Snake River!
We couldn’t resist getting a quick pic while riding the Arctic Cat through hundreds of wild sunflowers.
A very peaceful evening. It is hard to imagine the scenes of devastation we have witnessed from Florida. Our prayers continue for everyone affected.
” Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”.

Good morning Pam and I hope you and Butch are well. I woke to 29 degrees and snow. Your
Visit to Wyoming was timed just right as the temperatures now would have made your trip quite chilly. This will be my very first Sunday this year to wear boots to church because of snow but it won’t be my last. Today I’ll skip the milkshake and go for a cup of hot chocolate. A joyous Sunday to you and Butch and Miss Ella Mae.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Good morning Alice. Brr, snow and 29 degrees, yikes. Our high yesterday was 73 degrees, our last three days have been perfect autumn weather. Have that cup of hot chocolate and a joy-filled Sunday!
Rita C. says
Lovely Southern Sunday, as always. I’ve wondered how much of the cotton and other fall harvest was damaged by Michael. It seems I saw one blurb that read less than 50% of cotton, pecans and other fall vegetables/fruits had been harvested in the GA area affected. 🙁
Your new area in the garden will make another alternative for tablescaping. 😉
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Good morning Rita. I am sure lots of crops have been ruined in this devastating hurricane. SE AL received some damage also. We have enjoyed beautiful autumn weather the past three days. Happy Sunday!

Beautiful pictures. Fall looks especially beautiful with the gorgeous mountains in view. Love the chapel setting. You had great weather for your trip.
That burger and onion rings look wonderful!
There is a sweet spirit in the young boys pictures. I’m sure you have made a difference in their lives.
Happy Sunday. Every day is such a gift.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Amen Bonnie! Wishing you a joy-filled Sunday!

Oh, Pam, such a glorious Sunday morning with you and your beautiful photos. When I look at your lovely and peaceful sunset photo over the lake, it is hard to believe that such a monster storm did such horrific damage. My heart and prayers are certainly with all those who have been effected. Many lives forever changed.
Many blessings to you, my dear friend. Wishing you and yours a lovely day!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much, Sandra! Blessings on your Sunday!

Happy Sunday, Pam. It is a delight to begin a gorgeous and chilly Maine Sunday with your shared beauty. Many others are not so lucky as they go about the business of recovering from devastation.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I am so saddened for all those whose lives are so terribly impacted. ??

Pam, I have missed you and your pictures so much! I’ve been in FL since the end of September packing up my 93 yo mother-in-law for her move to S.C. We flew back the day of the hurricane. My stress level was through the roof for weeks until one of my church friends reminded me that God was in control, not me. On a happy note, my hubby thanked me for taking care of his mom by building a beautiful fire pit and surrounding it with Adirondack chairs, and now we have cool weather!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I have missed you Roxanne. Your hubby was so sweet to build you a fire pit as you were to take care of your MIL. Blessings on your Sunday, dear friend!

Pam, I enjoyed your post while Mike and I are spending the day in the Amsterdam airport. Our flight home today was cancelled, and we are booked on a flight to London tonight, overnight there, and go home tomorrow. We have yet to experience fall, since we have been in the Netherlands for two weeks, and it has been in the 70’s here. But it is 52 degrees today in Raleigh, so we will have fall when we get home. I miss Ella Mae on your blog, but it is beautiful, nonetheless. Love to all.

Yeap, missed Miss Ella Mae!!!!

Yes, I’ve been praying for the Florida people and the Carolinas that are still mopping up from theirs, Indonesia, Portugal and Queensland here. Natural disasters certainly have been coming thick and fast lately!
Speaking of disasters, they need to move that fence away from the bottom of the mountain. With all those skiers running up against it, duh!!
Dolores Velasco says
Wonderful photos, I do not know what else to say …
For example: that I love the chapel, that the rustic construction is beautiful, that the children have a beautiful happy face, that the fences are fun with the old skis … And that nature at this time is beautiful, although sometimes It goes out of control and causes unpleasant situations. Also here in Spain there have been major problems in Mallorca with overflowing rivers that have caused deaths and disappearances.
I am fine, in the center of Spain there are usually no major disasters.
Blessings for all
Dolores

Your photos never disappoint, what beauty!!! Love your picnic area and what a great idea. We need to do something like that by our pond. The Grans would love that. Happy Lord’s Day!

We have been to that most beautiful an humbling chapel….I just wanted to sit there and stay for a long while and enjoy the reverence that it brought for the beauty and grace of the mountains.

I am enjoying the pictures of your trip so much, what beautiful country! My favorite fall scene is cotton fields, and I saw some harvesting in progress just the other day on my way north from the beach. Giant white bales in the fields made for a stunning fall Southern scene! Happy Sunday Pam, and let’s hope we get the cooler weather back in a few days 🙂

Oh, how beautiful! My heart goes out to those precious people in FL, also. The devastation is untold. May the Lord have mercy and comfort all who grieve and who are trying to pick up the pieces in the aftermath. So sweet to visit with you, my friend. 🙂
