Morning fog seems to be a frequent occurrence this autumn!
Cattails remind us of corn dogs but cats might not appreciate that comparison.

The west fork of the Nueces River is usually a dry river bed. Water still flows out of the banks 6 weeks after the early October west Texas floods.
This cave in west Texas was once home to elderly members of the Comanche Tribe. Butch spent a few enjoyable days with friends at their ranch and the cave is on the property.
This cliff wall along the river captures the late afternoon Texas sun.
Still plenty of green pasture around the south but this will be needed a few weeks down the road!
The rains and cooler temps this past week brought most of these leaves down…
…and all these fell off in one day!

Haha, about the cat tails and the corn dogs! Ella Mae is looking very pretty. As usual, we have the opposite here, leaves unfurling and flowers as I walk the streets.

Good morning, Pam. As always the pictures are beautiful. My favorites are of course dear Ella Mae and the wonderful ginkgo. They are such a glorious tree.
Wishing you and yours a most beautiful day. We have a busy week ahead as we prepare for our special day. Enjoy all the moments.

Precious picture of Ella Mae, Pam! All of the other photos are beautiful also. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are expecting even more than 60 this year. I have all of my tables set, and most groceries purchased, but haven’t started cooking yet. You know I love the tables more than the food anyway, and the loved ones who sit at them. We are all so blessed, and I am grateful indeed.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear friend. It sounds like you have a lot already accomplished. I would love to see photos of your tables. Blessings always❤️

Greetings Pam, Lovely photos as always. It’s so important to remain thankful, even in times of sorrow. This has been an especially difficult week for me as my daughter and granddaughter went back home after a short but lovely visit. It was so hard, Then my sweet little kitty passed away which made it doubly hard. Still remaining thankful that they are and were all in my life gives me great peace.
Blessings,
Elizabeth
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I am so sorry Elizabeth. I know it was hard to see your daughter and granddaughter leave. Then to lose your kitty is certainly hard. We lost our cat a couple of years ago, and I cried for days. Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving❤️

Interesting trip Butch had. Mike and I listened to a book on tape that was about this area and the Kiowa and Comanche Indians in west Texas on one of our trips to Texas. We visited that area because Mike was captivated by the history in that area. The book is called, “The News of the World” by Paulette Giles.
Love the cattails pic and your tree that lost its leaves in one day.
Wishing you a special Thanksgiving.
Our church celebrated its125th year anniversary today. It was a great Homecoming and legacy celebration.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I know your church’s celebration was so special to you and Mike. I will share the book title with Butch, it sounds very interesting. Blessings~

Lovely Pam! I drove through a rural part of the county yesterday, mainly because there was a huge tie up on 280 🙂 and really enjoyed autumn’s splendor. I saw a lot of trees like yours with big piles of yellow leaves on the ground beneath them. What a weather week we had!! The sun felt like a gift all weekend! Ella Mae’s hair is getting so long!

There is even a hint of fall in Houston with temperatures being pretty cool and leaves littering the ground. What there isn’t much of is color. Ella Mae is looking like a big sister!
