“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God…
…All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
John 1:1-3
The look of winter closing in on autumn!
Not the best day for eating alfresco but every day has its own beauty.
We haven’t planted any ornamental cabbages in a number of years but thought we would give them a try. So far so good!
We are starting to see some of the natural red and green outside as December has arrived.
We love the coral bark as it adds something nice to the landscape year round!
All handcrafted ornaments; Katy has been very busy!
Beautiful color trying to hang on but recent rains are wearing down the remaining leaves.
The cooler wet weather has suited our pansies.
” Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”.

The changing of the seasons is so awe inspiring to me. God’s hand is seen everywhere in nature. As a young girl I loved only summer but now all seasons give me joy. Even the dead of winter seems peaceful where the face of a pansy always makes me smile. Hope your week is filled with joy, Pam!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Wishing you a beautiful and joyful week Roxanne!
Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
Good morning, Pam. Love the beautiful photos of your garden going to sleep. Sometimes I envy the garden as I think it might be nice to try a winters sleep. Just imagine how rested one would feel. Your opening photo is my favorite, the hills and sun are so pretty.
Do let Ella Mae know I missed her. Wishing you a wonderful week as we begin this glorious season.

Beautiful Sunday ☀️ Photos today Pam. I couldn’t pick a favorite. Katy’s ornaments are charming. They would be perfect on a tree for Ella Mae. I talked with a woman looking at small trees. ? She wanted to let her great granddaughter decorate it. Enjoy the season Pam and family.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much, Carol. I hope you have a wonderful week!

Beautiful! What is that beautiful grass that looks like a velvet carpet around the stones where the table is sitting? I would love to have that in some area in my yard. Have a blessed day.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Belinda. The grass is zoysia, and it is so thick like a carpet. Have a blessed week.

Pretty pictures today as usual.
My neighbors Japanese Maples are beautiful this year. I have seen more vivid color in the Bradford Pears, maples and Japanese Maples than in years past.
It rained hard here most of yesterday and last night. It was forecast today but it didn’t.
Our game yesterday was a nail bitter! I slept late this morning and am still decorating my tree so I am late visiting today.
Katie’s ornaments are pretty. Lots of work there. Hoping she is improving from her surgery.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Katy is doing well from her surgery, just a long recovery time. The game had me on pins and needles, it was unbelievable! I agree about the Japanese maples and our sugar maples were stunning. It was 76 and sunshine all day, but cooling off tomorrow. Have a good week, Bonnie!

Beautiful Pam! Crazy weather in Alabama! My ornamental cabbages I planted in October have given up! I do want to get some pansies this week! My son did our yard 2x in 4 days, and there was a mountain of leaves everywhere just hours after he finished! I missed Ella Mae today 🙂 Have a great week!

Your ornamental cabbage, your pansies, the fading colors of Autumn…all speak of this time of year and speak it so beautifully. The ornaments are just beautiful. Yes, the game was too close for comfort. Best game I’ve seen this year. Will be looking for your wreath posts this week. Don’t know how you do it all. God Bless. Went to an Advent Tea yesterday that was just amazing.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you sweet Dianne. I hope you will blog about the Advent tea!
