Hello sweet friends, I am so glad you are here. Welcome to day three of our Inaugural Monday Morning Blooms special Christmas tour! I am excited to be offering a fabulous GIVEAWAY, so you will want to make sure to read to the end of the post for a chance to win!
If you are new to Everyday Living, we are blessed that our days at home are spent in the country on about 25 acres in the Appalachian foothills. We always have a country Christmas!
As you step up to my small front porch, you will see and smell the fresh greenery. The beautiful wreath is from Lynch Creek Farm, a family owned business since 1980. It is surrounded by fresh pine garland that My Renaissance Man cuts each year and hangs on our porches.
It is always a pleasure to join my blogging friends Shirley, Mary, and Lidy. We are extending a warm welcome to our new member, Yvonne of StoneGable. Each of us is offering a giveaway. You will want to visit these talented ladies and comment for a chance to win! The links are provided at the bottom of this post.
Since we live in the country, I chose Winter Adventure, a rustic wreath with a sweet red cardinal and a white-washed birdhouse. Frosted ponderosa pine cones, faux red berries, and a gray and white gingham bow adorn the wreath made of noble fir, incense cedar, juniper, and white pine.
Adding color on the porch is a sweet little rug featuring a red truck!
Using a garden urn, I placed a grapevine wreath to add support for cypress, cedar, apples, and a hurricane candle stand.
There isn’t enough space for much else on my porch!
As you open the door, you get a glimpse of our tree in the family room. Come on in, I have prepared a little treat.
Today is only a mini tour of our family room, you are invited back next week
to see more.
For my coffee table, I chose the Wildlife Centerpiece. A pair of red cardinals and their nest accent the lush greens of Western red, incense, and Port Orford cedars embellished with a red candle and hurricane holder.
In the background of the centerpiece is a nativity that I always place on my hearth. It is the center of our Christmas!
I decided to simplify this year with small touches of Christmas scattered on this side of the room.
We love a good appetizer before dinner and I prepared a new recipe that I will be sharing soon. These Cranberry Brie tarts with orange marmalade are delicious especially served with hot spiced tea!
A new Christmas pillow from TJ Maxx suddenly appeared in my shopping cart a few weeks ago. I also added a faux garland to the oil painting, just a little merry and bright touch!
Thank you for your sweet visit, I hope you enjoyed yourself. And now for the all important GIVEAWAY!
Lynch Creek Farm has generously offered to give away the Winter Adventure Wreath to one of my readers!
To enter the giveaway leave me a comment telling me your favorite Christmas carol! How easy is that!!!
The deadline for this giveaway is midnight (EST) Saturday, December 8, 2018. The giveaway is limited to residents of the continental U.S. only.
Please be sure your email is correct in the comment section so that the winner can be notified and the wreath will arrive in a timely fashion for you to enjoy for the holidays.

Pam, your country-themed decor is gorgeous! I especially love the nativity. It reminds me always of my favorite Carol, Silent Night. I just recently found your blog and am enjoying it tremendously. Thanks for sharing, and Merry Christmas!

Pam, You and Butch are living my husband’s dream with 25 acres in the country! I’m super envious of Butch’s ability to cut and fashion that beautiful fresh pine garland and I love your cute rug with the truck! I love the beautiful bokeh you captured of the lights of the tree beyond your wreath and of your tree at night. It’s always a treat when I get a peek at your beautifully appointed family room…so many beautiful fabrics and patterns. I love the Wildlife Centerpiece! I was lucky to receive one last year and it smelled so good and stayed fresh well into February…you might be able to incorporate into a ‘lovebirds’ table for Valentine’s Day! 🙂 Your Cranberry Brie tarts look delicious especially with a mug of Christmas tea. It’s always a joy to visit with you. Happy Wednesday ♥
Mary says
P.S. My favorite carol is ‘Silent Night’ too…I need to sing to myself ‘all is calm, all is bright’ when I’m frazzled this time of year 😉

I’ll Be Home For Christmas!! I have been humming it all week as I have been decorating and getting ready for out of town company this weekend. That song warms my heart!
gardenannie says
I guess it is not really a Christmas carol but I love “Mary Did You Know.” I equally love “O Holy Night.” Your porch is charming and welcoming. I going to check out Lynch Creek Farm because fresh cut greenery just ushers in the holiday season. Down here in the piney woods of east Texas we use slash pine and red cedar.
Patty Morgan says
Your such a breath of fresh air! I love your Christmas decorations….so lovely! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Pam, your home is so lovely. I know the joy of being in the country on land. Mike and I left our home on 21 acres in VA. to return to WV to care for our parents. It is truly a blessing to live in the country.
It is a special treat to see your gorgeous family room and your centerpiece is beautiful. Looking forward to your recipe, the tarts look delicious. My favorite Christmas Carol is, “Oh Holly Night.”
Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
“O Holy Night.” My brain and fingers are not working together this morning.
Jan Fusco says
Your home is lovely. I love the urn with the fresh apples and greens. I love natural elements. I love Christmas music and carols but I guess I’ll have to say one from my childhood memories is my favorite…Away In a Manger.
Maureen O says
Very inviting and your choices from Lynch Creek are fitting for your home. Our family favorite Christmas song is Oh Holy Night. In our church the lights are darkened and each person has a lit candle when the priest enters the church to start the Christmas service. It is a deeply soulful experience.
Bonnie Morgan says
Love your Country Christmas. I bet your wreath smells wonderful. I love all the fresh greenery scents.
Your family room looks beautiful and your treat sounds delicious.I would love sitting there chatting with you.
I’ve pondered what my favorite carol is and I love them all. I can’t pick a favorite.
We will be at the Michael W. Smith concert tomorrow night in Montgomery. Looking forward to his Christmas songs.
I enjoyed your post today.

Your family room is drop dead gorgeous Pam. I could just move in and never change one thing. Love it.
My favorite CHRISTMAS song is” Mary Did You Know” . This past week I attended a function for members of our church for those of us 55 and older. There was a group that serenaded us after a dessert hour called Legacy. When they sang “Mary Did You Know” , you could have heard a pin drop. I had tears is my eyes as did others. This song is so wonderful and you most listen to the words.

What a beautiful lush garland! My favorite carol is “What Child Is This”. The imagery it generates is so beautiful from the angels singing, shepards standing guard and all people from peasants to kings adoring the baby that Mary is singing a lullaby to who is Christ the King!

Oh my, where to begin. So many stunning and delightful decorations to make your home warm and welcoming. Love the wreath and greenery around the door. Joy to the World is one of my favorite traditional carols and then there is Darlene Loves, Baby Please Come Home for getting you dancing and moving while decorating. ?

Oh Pam, what a gorgeous tour! Your entrance is so pretty and welcoming. The wreath you chose is perfect to greet your guests! As you walk in the door gorgeousness abounds. I love the centerpiece on your coffee table and the nativity in the background is the perfect accompaniment. When it comes to Christmas carols, it is so difficult to chose just one. I love Christmas Carols so much! If I had the pick one, I think I would chose O Little Town of Bethlehem. Happy Wednesday, sweet friend!!!
Lidy at FrenchGardenHouse says
Pam!! Oh my dear friend, I could not love this more. Everything is so beautiful, as always, but I will confess to some serious rug envy. {I know it is a sin!} I agree with Cindy that “Oh, Holy Night” is my favorite- but I love all Christmas songs. God bless you, dear Pam, it’s a blessing to be on our Monday Morning Holiday Tour with you this week. xoxo Lidy
Joanne Vest says
Love your home! My favorite Christmas song is “Mary did you know?”. This year though I am loving a song by Alabama, Thistlehair the Christmas Bear! Not a traditional carol by any means but a favorite when my kids were little. They are adults with children of their own now and one of them is a son that is currently deployed. Hearing it makes me smile and making the time easier. Hopefully home in about month!
A very Merry Christmas to you and your famiky

First of all..I Love your decorating..very Christmas and my fav is the Nativity…it’s beautiful and the centerpiece on with the Christmas cardinals… my favorite Christmas Carol is SILENT NIGHT.. the Carol/Hymn was written by Josef Mohr..a pastor of the church of St. Nickolas in Austria..he was walking home after Christmas Eve service and upon arriving on a hill overlooking his village he noticed the silence of the winter night…he had written a poem about that and he made that into a Carol/Hymn for his congregation…Frann Gruber, the organist, composed the melody…In 1834 it was performed for the King of Prussia who then ordered his Cathedral to sing it every Christmas Eve…20 years later, the si g was brought to the US in NY Trinity Church…it is now sung i. More than 300 different languages around the world.. these sentiments about the silence of a wintry night is how I feel when you go outside during a late night snow..MERRY CHRISTMAS and good luck to all!! ?❤️??❤️?

I love cardinals, especially at Christmas. With my name being “Joy”, my favorite carol would have to be “Joy to the World”, although “What Can I Give Him” comes in a close second due to some sweet family memories. Your home looks lovely and I look forward to seeing more of it.

Oh Holy Night always makes me very happy, but I do love all the traditional Christmas songs. A few years ago, I switched my Christmas decorations to cardinals and plaid, so I especially love the little birds in this wreath and centerpiece! I have an oil painting of a cardinal in the snow, done by my late sister, that is the centerpiece of my dining area this time of year. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
