“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13
Happy Thursday sweet friends! I hope your week has been going well so far. It continues to rain in my neck of the woods. It seems that we can’t get more than one day of sunshine before the skies open up with more rain! I have been organizing and cleaning after putting away all of the Christmas and spending a lot of time reading which is one of my favorite pleasures. Butch went back to work yesterday, so life is getting back to my usual routine. But my little princess won’t be back to stay with me until Monday when her mommy has to go back to teaching. And like a lot of folks, yesterday also began a healthier eating plan for us. Normally we try to eat healthy, but the holidays filled with sweets and carb overload wrecked our usual way of eating! We are ready for a little more discipline in that area! How about you, is healthier eating a part of your January plan?
Today, I am sharing the remainder of our top ten most viewed posts. On Tuesday, I shared our top five tablescapes which are all included in our top ten. At the bottom of this post you will see the complete list of all of them! Grab a cuppa and join me!
We have loved sharing our travels with you, but this past year we didn’t travel as much as past years. However, An Anniversary Getaway made our top ten!
If you are a regular follower, you know that I often share garden posts, tablescapes in the garden and shots of the garden for Simple + Southern Sunday make regular appearances! Your favorite was the Early Spring Garden!
I was beyond excited last year to be invited by Shirley from Housepitality Designs to join with her, Mary @ Home Is Where The Boat Is, and Lidy @ FrenchGardenHouse for Floral Friday! I must admit that I was way out of my comfort zone to partner with these extremely talented and creative ladies. But, it has been a great learning experience and it has made me strive to up my blogging game! You (my readers) have given me so much encouragement with each Floral Friday. In December, Floral Friday changed to Monday Morning Blooms and the very popular and talented Yvonne from StoneGable joined our group. I hope you will join us this coming Monday for the first Monday Morning Blooms of 2019!
I am so glad you chose Hydrangeas, Roses, and Strawberries as one of your favorites! It was a fun one to do.
Under The Rose Arbor was also a top pick by you. It gave me a chance to spotlight the Lady Banks Roses that bloom early and often get bit by a late frost. They were in perfect bloom for this Floral Friday!
Our Story, His Glory is our most viewed post for 2018. It was originally shared in three separate posts. There were so many comments and emails that we combined all three segments into one post that has been placed as a menu option on our home screen!
It is our most personal post that we have shared. We also feel that it was the most important post because it shows God’s amazing grace and His sovereign will.
If you haven’t read the story, I hope that you will take the time to read it. Our prayer is that it will encourage you. If you are going through a particularly hard time, I pray that you will read or even reread it. Our purpose in starting this blog was to share God’s beauty and His love in not an overly preachy way but by our everyday living!

Good morning Pam-The very personal story you shared with us is so powerful & the perfect testimony of how God watches over us. It is also a wonderful testiment about how close you & Butch are as a couple & the love you share. The way you wrote it was so vivid you could see the images as you continued reading. Your gardens are gorgeous! I always love the beautiful floral arrangements you share with us. The strawberry cake in one of the pics looks quite tasty & is making my mouth water! Just when I got back to normal eating after the holidays, I see that gorgeous cake! Yum! Wishing you a wonderful day. Clara❤️

Thank you so much Clara and for your most kind sentiments. I am trying to get back to eating healthy, no cake for me. Wishing you a most joy-filled day.❤️
Alice Genzlinger says
Thank you for sharing Butch’s story again. I reread it again, wiping tears away as I read. The song I think of now goes ” my hope is build on nothing less than JESUS blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on JESUS name”. There is POWER IN HIS NAME for those who trust Him . And what I know for sure is He never changes and that He loves and cares for His children. When we pray to Him He hears us and immediatly begins to work on our behalf, maybe not in the way we think but in such a way to bring about the perfect solution to our prayer, PRAISE THE LORD,
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Amen and amen, Alice. I love the song you quote “The Solid Rock”…On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand…! He is our firm foundation❤️

Oh, sweet friend! I can’t wait to read your story…I hadn’t see that, so I am so thankful it was included for those who hadn’t read it. And, I can’t imagine how you would doubt your abilities to keep up with the best when you started joining in with the other ladies! YOU, my friend, have such incredible gifts all your own! I am amazed every time I come here and see the wonderful beauty you share. It occurred to me today as I scrolled through your photos that the word I would use to describe them is enchanting. They just draw me in and invite me to stop and linger a while! So thankful to continue this journey with you in 2019!
Cheryl says
Oh, my! I just read your entire testimony, and it is just amazing! PRAISE OUR WONDERFUL GOD!!! Oh, how He answered prayer and brought you dear ones through! I love to read of stories that glorify GOD and give all of the praise to Him, and this was just SO encouraging to me today. I am not facing anything comparable to what you were going through, but what I am facing looks mountainous to me and is so terrifying, and I needed to read this right now to be reminded of God’s faithfulness. Thank you SO much for sharing this…I know you shared it a while back, but God wanted me to read it today, praise His name! Oh, I am so thankful!!
