“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”
Hebrews 13:16
Happy Tuesday sweet friends! I am always so thrilled that you stop in to visit with me. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our second granddaughter, Ella Mae’s little sister. We are all so very excited and she can’t wait to be a big sister. Prepare yourselves for upcoming photos!
I have been looking for a vintage or antique floral patterned china for a couple of years. A friend of mine that frequents estate sales and auctions had also been looking for me. She messaged me several weeks ago with a photo of a lovely floral china that she had found at a very good price and I said consider it sold. Today, it is making its first appearance on Tablescape Tuesday! I know it is old and it could even be antique and I know it is pretty!
Using a soft pink tablecloth as a background, I kept the setting simple to let the dish ware be the star!
A simple centerpiece of three ice cream glasses that hold spider mums and snowball buds are placed on a gold tray!
I have six place settings that includes dinner plates, soup/salad bowls, dessert plates, and cups and saucers. It is in perfect condition!
The gold tray and flatware gives a modern touch to the antique/vintage china!
My idea is to use this china for a spring or summer ladies luncheon! With its pretty floral pattern, it looks frilly and feminine!
I love the ease of this centerpiece, no flower arranging experience is necessary!
Do you notice that the setting has changed?
I removed the tray and spread the flowers down the table just for a different look.
The Noritake china is so delicate with its beautiful flowers, scroll work, and gold edging!
According to what I have read on line, this marking was used from 1911-1940. The M in the wreath represents the family name “Morimura”. I have searched a little to try and identify the pattern name, so far no luck! If anyone just happens to know, please email me or comment on this post!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
Thank you so much for taking time to read and comment. It truly makes my day!

Oh, Pam the china is lovely. I have to look the other way when I see beautiful vintage china. To me, it can’t be surpassed. I can just vision this china on your lovely patio and your special friends seated at a beautiful table you have set just for them. Your centerpiece is also so pretty. My choice for it is how you spread it down the center, so pretty.
We are waiting for photos of Miss Emma Kennedy – I know you all are so excited. Have a wonderful week, dear friend.❤?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Sandra, I like the flowers spread also!

Pam, I love the old china. To find the name of the pattern contact Replacements in NC. I visited them once when I was in NC and that place is awesome. I have emailed them to find out one of the patterns I own and they were quick to respond. The pink table cloth is just perfect. It shows the pattern off perfectly. A ladies luncheon awaites, right? I gave a tea for a group of ladies from my church at that time and used two old patterns that coordinated. One pattern was a Theodore Haviland Limoges and the other Brown-Westhead Mooreed pattern. I had the men serve the ladies using my pieces of silver service. What fun.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Alice. I have been to Replacements once. I haven’t had time to send them a photo, but I will. Your tea sounds so lovely and I know your church ladies loved it and felt special!
Janet Hurlbrink says
Looks like the beginnings of an elegant tea party. If you don’t mind sharing, I’d love the babe of your flatware pattern? Thanks.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Hi Janet, thank you. I purchased the gold flatware two or three years ago at Wal-Mart and it has held up remarkably. Happy weekend!

From first glance, I thought this was Noritake as it reminds me very much of the pattern my mother gave one of my daughters. To my chagrin, the china stays in a topmost cabinet in the daughter’s kitchen as she thinks it not her style. Oh woe!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much! A lot of younger ladies seem to think that way!

The truth is that today they give us some beautiful images. The elegance of this Japanese tableware and the decoration of flowers so delicate and beautiful that, both in the first version with the golden dish and in the corridor of the table, are very beautiful and elegant.
I do not know what you mean when you say you know the pattern of the origin of the dishes. I found this definition in Wikipedia if it works for you: “Noritake porcelain is a Japanese factory founded in 1876 by Baron Ichizaemon Morimura IV.”
I understand that Baron Morimura was the one who recorded his style for the Japanese factory Noritake.

Enviando amor y abrazos, Pam

This is just beautiful! I love how dainty it is. So fragile and feminine! And the soft pink tablecloth was the perfect backdrop to not overwhelm it and to let it shine!! So wonderful to visit with you, as always, sweet friend. 🙂

As usual, you table is beautiful Pam, thank you for sharing. Congratulations on obtaining this beautiful set of Noritake. My family still has my grandparents set of Noritake Morimura labeled “Castella” pattern from their wedding in 1933. Your set has a very similar look so might be from that time frame. Replacements will undoubtedly be able to tell you the pattern name. Enjoy it! Perhaps for Easter?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much! I so hope to discover the pattern name. Have a wonderful weekend!
