“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
John 11:25-26
Happy Monday dear friends! It is a great start for the week because it is the third Monday of the month and that means I am joining my creative friends to bring you the Easter edition of Monday Morning Blooms!
Easter has always been very special to me – starting when I was a little girl. My mother always made sure I had a new outfit and we would start our day at the sunrise service, complete with family lunch. The lunch tradition lives on as we gather at our house in the early afternoon for good food and an egg hunt! All of these events are fun and bring back wonderful memories, but the meaning of this day is what gives us life. Jesus Christ defeated death and the grave forever! What a reason to celebrate!
After our Easter lunch of traditional Southern food, we will be outside for an Easter egg hunt with our granddaughter. I set up refreshments on the picnic table with a spring bouquet of flowers for us to relax and enjoy the fun through the eyes of our almost three year old Ella Mae. Baby Emma will probably sleep through the fun!
You will find the inspiring floral links for Shirley, Lidy, and Mary at the bottom of this post!
As I was searching around my house for a pretty vase to hold flowers, I remembered this old yellow pitcher that belonged to my paternal grandmother. There are sweet memories attached as I remember seeing it often on her table. I cut azaleas and snowball blooms from my garden and repurposed pink roses, alstroemeria and green hydrangeas from my arrangement used in Gather ‘round My Easter Table last week. My Renaissance Man cut dogwood branches to add to the table. White dogwoods are plentiful as they grow wild in our woods.
Mr. and Mrs. Bunny hopped on the table wearing their sweet Easter frocks.
A bunny tray holds a favorite treat of Easter M&M’s!
Beautiful shades of pink mix with the creamy white snowball blooms!
Pasture bunny plates are most appropriate for our alfresco setting! We see lots of bunnies hopping around our pasture and in this shaded area. A small basket holds chalk eggs that I collected many years ago. Ella Mae’s Mommy will make her a darling Easter basket with lots of surprises and eggs for hiding. I will make her one with a princess doll, a chocolate bunny, and other treats!
The beautifully decorated cookies made an encore appearance. Many of you commented on them last week and I must say they are as delicious as they look! A seersucker cloth from my growing stash of tablecloths covers the picnic table.
A cute Fitz and Floyd bunny jumped off of the bookshelf and followed me outside!
It was a very cloudy and breezy afternoon when I photographed the table. This area backs up to a heavily wooded area which makes it appear dark in the photos.
Mr. Bunny has a small bucket of flowers that he is carrying! Mr. and Mrs. are both carrying welcome spring signs!
Pink lemonade and sparking water to quench our thirst!
Mrs. Bunny is standing guard over the eggs!
The floral arrangement was so easy to make, it took me no more than ten minutes to assemble!
My friends have prepared beautiful Easter inspiration for you to enjoy!

Pam…I so loved reading about your family Easter traditions. i so remember waking up to see what the Easter Bunny left for us, only to just take a peek and then get dressed for church in our new Easter outfits…we couldn’t wait to get home to dive into our baskets and of course the egg hunt with the one golden egg that held 50 cents!
When coming home from church we could smell the ham baking in the oven (my dad cooked it…he was the father in the Norman Rockwell painting of the mom and kids going to church and the father sitting in the chair reading the newspaper…my mom forgave him as it was his only day off … he was a wonderful man.
The backdrop of the beautiful dogwoods are gorgeous…the beautiful arrangement in your vase belonging to your paternal grandmother is the perfect choice and love the color…May you and your family have a most joyous Easter Pam celebrating family traditions with the blessing of a new family member!

That is such a sweet table with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny. My favorite Easter story which my mother retold every single year…when I was 3 years old, I decided to cut my own hair the day before Easter! I actually remember Mama dressing me in my new Easter outfit the next day, putting my little hat on my head and snapping the elastic under my chin, then warning me not to take that hat off at church!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Roxanne. I love your story…I think most of us cut our bangs. I can just see you in your Easter frock with your hat. I always loved getting my new patent leather shoes. Have a most blessed Holy Week?

Pam, I love everything about this post. From the memorable yellow vase, the seersucker tablecloth to the pastel M&M’s. Oh my! It all screams Easter. My husbands side of the family has a huge egg hunt Easter afternoon and it is so much fun to listen to the big kids chit-chat to watching the younger ones run and play. Of course we always do prize eggs, one for the little ones and one for the big ones so the GAME IS ON! Praise the Lord HE IS ALIVE! Happy Easter Pam and Butch.
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Cindy! Amen, He is alive! Wishing you a most blessed Holy Week!

Pam, I love the traditions you have and how special to use that pretty sentimental yellow pitcher. The dogwoods have a special meaning to me as I am sure you have heard the story of the petals. Mr. & Mrs. Bunny are adorable and I am sure EM is going to show us that beautiful face and smile when you take photos. EK will most likely sleep through most but photos are expected dear friend. 🙂 I also love what Alice said about meeting in heaven and what a glorious and wonderful day that will be when we get to meet and greet our dear friends in Christ. One of my favorite verses is:” He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.” God Bless you and Butch and your wonderful family.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you my friend! Such wonderful thoughts when we meet our dear friends in Christ! I am blessed by your friendship! Have a most blessed Holy Week and Easter!
