“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.”
Isaiah 40:28
Happy Tuesday sweet friends! It is my hope that you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. The weather was just perfect on Sunday and yesterday…cool nights and warm days with bright blue skies and sunshine…perfect gardening weather! Please grab a cup of coffee and join me for a look at springtime in the garden!
As I was looking out my kitchen window one morning last week, I caught a glimpse of the first rays of sunlight hitting the garden! I grabbed my camera…
…it was one of those glorious spring mornings!
The light and shadows dance around the bloodgood Japanese maple! It has beautiful color when it leafs out!
My Renaissance Man pruned the adagio maiden grasses all the way back to the ground. They have come back strong!
Apricot drift roses have begun to bloom…
..and their fragrance is heavenly!
Our picnic area is greening up! I am still working on some ideas for this area.
Pride of Mobile azaleas were in full bloom a couple of weeks ago!
The vibrant rose-pink flowers are stunning!
The hubby also heavily pruned the sunshine ligustrums. They have leafed out in their beautiful yellow-green color!
Snowball viburnum was beautiful…
…and beautiful as the sun was setting through the pines!
You can see in this photo where the snowballs are located across the driveway near the wooded area.
We planted zinnias yesterday! They make pretty bouquets all summer!
Annuals were planted in the pots under the the Sioux crape myrtles and between the soft touch hollies in the foreground. I love seeing the garden come back to life after its winter nap. Before long daisy gardenias will bloom and perfume the garden!
Thank you for your visits and the comments that you leave! If you garden, I would love to know what you have been up to. Wishing you a joy-filled day!

I love seeing your garden come to life Pam! I was outside all day yesterday with gardening chores and doing some painting touch ups around the Potting Shed…my sinuses, knees and back are complaining this morning. Your snowball bush is a thing of beauty and has such a perfect shape. We planted some small specimens last spring and they had teeny tiny snowballs this year 🙂 Question, do you sow your zinnia seeds directly into the soil or use starter pots and transplant the seedlings? I’ve wanted to plant some for the butterflies and for cutting for years and never have. Thank you, enjoy your garden time. ♥
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Good morning Mary. We sow directly into the soil. I say every year that I will do the starter pots, but I never get around to doing that. So far I have had success with just sowing into the soil.
Mary says
That’s so much easier Pam! Thank you, I’ll pick up some seeds. ???
Carole @ From My Carolina Home says
You have such a gorgeous garden! I always enjoy a walk with you to see your blooms. I spent all day planting yesterday, it is spring here too.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Carole. Happy gardening ???

On this rainy, cold morning I knew I needed some sunshine and I knew you two would deliver. What I would do to walk through your garden this am with a cup of joe. Scanning your breathtaking photos is the next best thing.
Thanks for the eye candy, Pam.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
It is gorgeous here this morning, hopefully your weather will improve. Thank you Katie!

Your garden is absolutely amazing and I love seeing it. When all the new planting is done it will be even more amazing.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Marty!
Nancy says
I was tip toeing through the tulips in your lovely garden with coffee in hand! What a delight I had looking at all the snowballs! The sun trickled down upon the petals of the azaleas and brought a smile to my face!
Lovely gardens my friend!
How do you keep the bunnies away from eating your Zinnias? As soon as I get to Pennsylvania … I will be planting some Zinnias. I loved mine here this past winter but had to plant them in a container garden. Something eats the sprouts here… birds or lizards? I don’t know… but it’s not a bunny as sweet man bunny proofed our back yard here in AZ.
Happy Tuesday!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Nancy. We do have bunnies that visit us along with deer. The deer can be the most destructive. Happy Gardening???
Roxanne says
I love seeing sunrise and sunset in your garden! It looks like everything is coming out strong for Spring. Thanks for reminding me about zinnia seeds! I have my packs ready to go, and it’s going to be 85 here today!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Wow, 85 degrees, plant the zinnias and enjoy your day Roxanne!???
Joanna @ Gingham Gardens says
I do enjoyed my virtual stroll through your spring gardens. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with your picnic area. Happy Spring & Happy Gardening!

Happy gardening Joanna ???

When I look at the bloggers “south” of me, I always think, “Sneak previews!” Except, of course, my hardly-a-garden is more like a B-movie compared to a main, Oscar-worthy attraction! I love it all!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
You are a sweetheart Jeanie!
Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
Glorious garden, Pam. The sun dancing on your Japanese Maple is gorgeous. We have a very old one in the front of our home and I treasure it. And, you are correct – their foliage is beautiful in the spring. We planted zinnias yesterday also. I have always scattered them directly into the soil. Pam, your Snowball viburnum is a showpiece and it is hard to believe you have roses in bloom. But then, I remember the beauty of the south.
Wishing you a lovely day and week, dear friend. Happy Gardening.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Sandra. Your temp is soaring today. We were a little late planting our zinnias yesterday, just so much to do. Happy gardening to you!???
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I am sorry Sandra, I confused your comment with Roxanne who said she was having 85 for a high today!
Liz says
Looks like a spectacular spring season has begun! Love seeing the azaleas and viburnums! Zinnias are such a cheerful flower I must plant some again this year!
Pam @ Everyday Living says

Janet Luke Combs says
Beautiful representing a lot of hard work but the results are super rewarding, pleasure for yourself as well as a joy for others to observe. That is the way Christian life should be, lots of work on controlling the weeds of life, nurturing the inner man with the water of salvation and the sunshine of His love, cleaning away the debris of life and our sins and spilling over in joy and hope to those who do not follow the Lord that we do not labor in vain but to the glory of the one who paid the price for our salvation, blessed life and eternal security. Thank you for sharing this visual sermon.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Janet, you are a writer for sure. Your sentiments are absolutely amazing and with your permission I would love to use them in my next garden post. Thank you for sharing this morning, it warmed my heart and was a lovely devotion. Amen and amen!

What a lovely walk with you through the garden Pam. Yes, coffee would be a must for me and I would sip as I graciously took in all the beauty. I am itching to get in the dirt! The weather here too as has cool in the mornings and warm during the day but we have had a little rain and it has kept me from doing a little gardening I am afraid. However, I should have some potatoes ready to harvest in a few weeks. YAY! Enjoyed the walk Pam. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

I would love to share a cup of coffee with you as we talk about God’s goodness! Hugs~

What can one say? To have such a vision outside of the kitchen window is a gift, indeed, wrought by much toil, to be certain. The snowballs just dazzle and the azaleas are stunning.

What a beautiful view out your kitchen window Pam….magazine perfect! I took my cup of hot tea and strolled through your gardens with you this day and it was heavenly. The maple, the snowballs and the soon to be zinnias…which were always my mother’s favorite…and the statuary. The Azaleas are spectacular and your garden reflects all the hard work you and Butch do during the seasons. Lovely, sweet friend.

As I looked through your amazing post, all I could think of is “this is what we have all been waiting for!” To see Springtime again in all it’s glory and to see God bring out His beautiful coloring book once again and paint our world with His majesty. He is so faithful, and even though the seasons change every three months, He remains the same through it all. May He bless you always, sweet friend.

He is the same and what a great comfort that He never changes! Thank you dear friend.

Your garden is spectacular and I love how you take such amazing photos to show us everything as if we are walking right along with you. You have inspired me to buy some sunshine ligustrums for my yard they bring a burst of sunshine. Isn’t God good in giving us so many flowers and plants to bring us happiness. Question, where did you find your beautiful bronze cherub statue? Happy gardening!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Raylene. The bronze cherub statue was sourced locally from a dealer. You will not be disappointed in the sunshine ligustrums. Wishing you a blessed day!
