“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:8-10
Our first zinnia of the season!
The Goldenrain tree is a late May early June bloomer. While not native, we understand these trees have been in North America since the 1700’s!
The vinca we have in pots is outperforming the vinca planted in ground beds. We’ve not determined why!
The last day of swim class seems to have ended well !
The Indigo Frost agapanthus is about to be in bloom!
Fried zucchini blossom with mozzarella and marinara at Bottega Cafe !
A few mimosas blooming around the lake are a sure sign of summer, even though it is still “officially” Spring!
Intensia is a phlox hybrid. This is our first time to plant this particular hybrid.
This bud belongs to an Echoes of Mercy day lily!
Weiss Lake bids us another beautiful “good evening”!
”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”.

Scripture to start the day, mimosa trees, Miss Ella Mae and golden rain tree. The perfect post. I woke up singing, or rather God was singing to me, At the Cross. Life is tough but when God sings to you we can plow throw anything knowing what awaits us at the end. Praise the Lord. Have a truly blessed day.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Wishing you a blessed Sunday, Alice! I couldn’t help but think of this verse when you said you woke up to God singing to you…
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
It is one of my favorite scriptures to think that the Creator and God of the universe loves me so much that He would sing over me.

Amen, amen, amen!

Your simple Sunday is a lovely way to begin my own. I am grateful for the beauty you share.

Thank you Linda, wishing you a lovely day!
Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
Oh, Pam – so many glorious photos I don’t know where to begin. Your rain tree is beautiful, it has a different leaf and bloom from what I know of my moms – just lovely. And, dear Ella Mae seems like she enjoyed her swim class. Love her hair in pigtails. Your blooms are a good month ahead of us. We still have a couple of peony blooms left and spring is slowly leaving. Also enjoyed seeing the zucchini blossoms. I had a neighbor in Va. who would grow zucchini just to make them and they were wonderful.
I always enjoy my Sunday time with you. You are a blessing, dear friend.❤
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Sandra! Wishing you a most wonderful Sunday!

Happy Sunday sweet friend!

Dolores Velasco says
Friend Pam, as usual on Sundays, we are used to the beautiful images that are always interesting.
Today the flower that stands out is Ella Mae, which is beautiful. It grows every day more beautiful and with the collected hair is very good.
As for the vincas, I think it should be better to grow in pots because I have the experience of a place where we spent the summer and the vincas were on the ground, but they did not bloom, I never saw them blooming. . !!
Several days ago I did not enter the PC because I had a spill in one eye and the doctor recommended that I not use it until the eye cleared up.
Well, it was clarified thank God because I was a little worried.
A hug
Dolores

Abrazos, Pam

All of your photos are so lovely..first zinnia bloom, the vincas, the prayer garden and the beauty who has just finished her swim lessons. Wonderful Ella Mae! But…I must say, the exchange between you and Alice touched my heart. The first time I read Zephaniah 3:17, it was like a whole new world about God’s personality was revealed to me. What great love we cannot even comprehend. “He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing.” Praise be to God.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Amen and Amen Dianne. Just to think of how He loves us! Praise God!

My poor agaanthus (all three of them) are looking sick and grim. One bloomed in March inside; the others? The leaves are all floppy and no future flowers I can see. Not sure what I’m doing wrong because last year they seemed fine! Ah well. I definitely do NOT have the gardening touch! It’s one reason why I like visiting you so much — I get my garden fix vicariously!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Jeanie, I am sorry about your agapanthus, who knows is correct. Wishing you a most wonderful week!

Love these pics today!
Fried zucchini at Bottega Cafe, brings back sweet memories of my visit with you; that sweet granddaughter I her Minnie Mouse bathing suit is adorable & patriotic at the same time…the summer flowers are just beautiful!
Thanks for sharing! Love you, my friend!

Thank you dear friend, loved our visit last year. Sending love and hugs ❤️
Roxanne Bernard says
Of all the flowers in your garden, Ella Mae is the most beautiful of them all! The entrance to the prayer garden looks so peaceful, what a wonderful place for contemplation. When you were a child did you pick mimosa blossoms and pretend they were powder puffs? They are so soft and smell delicious. God has blessed us these last few days with rain, and everything is greening back up here.
(Sorry if this posts twice…I put something up before church, and apparently the server went down in the tstorm)
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Roxanne. Yes, I did pick mimosa blossoms, but I would put them in my hair and pretend. I used to love to climb our mimosa trees, fun memories. You should probably receive the book in your mail today! Happy Monday~
Roxanne Bernard says
Oh boy, I shall eagerly await the mail lady! Thank you so much! 😘
When I was 10, I climbed a mimosa tree my mother specifically said to stay out of…a limb snapped, and I fell down onto a fence. My friend bandaged me up bc as a child, I just knew I would get spanked for disobeying! Now I realized Mama would have had a fit because I was bleeding profusely.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Oh no, how funny! Yes, I am sure your mother would have had a fit 😂 I used to love to climb trees…my aunt had weeping willows and they were great to climb and hide in. Sweet summer memories Roxanne! I hope you enjoy the book with a tall glass of iced tea!
the Painted Apron says
A beautiful display of Sunday blooms Pam, and my mouth started watering when I saw the fried squash blossom, I’ve never had one! I have a carpet of mimosa blooms on my lawn this morning from those crazy hard showers we had off and on yesterday! I hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday!

Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Jenna. The fried squash blossom is amazing, one of my favorite appetizers at Bottega Cafe. We have had over three inches of rain, now bring on some sunshine. Happy Monday!
Bonnie Morgan says
I would love to have another fried squash blossom. I had never tasted one until we were in Italy. I think Florence. It was very good. We haven’t been to Bottega since we were there with you and Butch.
Ella Mae has the prettiest smile and that is the cutest swim suit.
That is a beautiful prayer garden and your flower and lake pictures are lovely.
I am so happy we got another rain this afternoon even better than the last one we were so proud of.
Love your zinnia. I don’t have good luck with seed but I keep trying. I bought the last packet of zinnia seed this week Lowes had.
Have a wonderful week.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Bonnie, we need a return trip to Bottega this summer. Let us know when you might be going through Birmingham and we can hopefully meet for dinner. We have had over three inches of rain and my garden has loved it!
