“Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.”
Proverbs 3:7
We enjoy dropping by the picturesque prayer garden of one of our local churches.
Our Sioux crape myrtles are in full bloom now. We’ve not seen many Japanese Beetles so far this season and wonder if you are experiencing them?
This Eastern tiger swallowtail looks a little flight weary and may be missing a few parts! But it was still very active on the zinnias.
Finally, we have a gladiolus in bloom! Looks like more to come over the next few days.
After spending the night with us, the princess had to get ready to attend a birthday party!
There would “bee” justification to name this area the bee garden!
Pasta is a summer favorite…well…a favorite anytime!
Our thyme has done extremely well this season!
Love old rustic fences. Hop over this one to the right and you will find yourself in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park!
The begonias have done well and required very little attention.
The old urn is slowly being overtaken. Maybe we won’t forget it’s nestled inside this greenery and eventually lose track of it!
Weiss Lake reflecting the end of another typical mid-summer day!
”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”.

Good Sunday morning, sweet Pam. Begonias and crepe myrtles are two of my all “thyme” favorites because they are so dependable. When Ella Mae gets a little older, please share my favorite saying… “it is a lot of work being a natural beauty” (I laugh and tell myself that every time I sit at my dressing table!). Are you getting any rain from Barry? Praying everyone stays safe.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Happy Sunday Roxanne. We had a couple hours of rain Friday night but not any since then, only twenty percent chance today. I love your favorite saying, and isn’t it true😂 Blessings on your Sunday!

Your pasta dish is calling my name! Beautiful sunset and sweet Ella Mae. She has the most beautiful eyes.
All your flowers are flourishing and so pretty.
I look forward to Monday Morning Blooms tomorrow.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

Thank you Bonnie, have a most blessed Sunday!

Dear Pam, as always such beautiful photos. Love dear Ella Mae, goodness she is growing too fast. Love the butterfly on your zinnias, the bees seem to be enjoying ours. And, I know why you are not bothered with Japanese Beetles – they are all in WV. We are not usually bothered too much with them but they have been dreadful this year.
Pam the photo of the sunset may just be the most gorgeous one yet. I could gaze at it for hours. Wishing you and your beautiful family a day full of joy. ❤
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Sandra. Those beetles can strip a crape myrtle overnight. Happy Sunday!

Thank you Jenna. Have a lovely week!

Hi Pam, We have been covered up by Japanese beetles in SW TN! The roses, zinnias, etc have suffered their wrath! We’ve sprayed & resorted to hand picking them off when we see them. I’m so happy to know your beautiful garden isn’t having the same issue. The butterfly pic is really unique. Ella Mae is so cute in her curlers; being a girl is hard work! Lol Have a great Sunday! Clara💕
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Clara, I am so sorry about the Japanese beetles, they are a horrible menace. They run in cycles it seems, some years worse than others. Thank you and wishing you a blessed week!

Good Sunday, friends … Always beautiful everything we offer, especially that little princess with the hair curlers to be more beautiful at the birthday party.
True!! the spaghetti is delicious with what you put, this reminds me of a phrase that the French say about the tortilla, they say: “Dans la omelette même le cuir est bonne” on the omelette until the leather is good “… the phrase is great and can be transported to spaghetti.
Well, a delicious Sunday, quiet and surrounded by flowers … Who gives more?
A hug

Abrazos, Pam

My sole computer time each Sabbath is spent in Pam’s and Butch’s own prayer garden.. that Church has the right idea. God’s paintbrush has swept the Weiss Lake photo with His palette. Stunning. Minnie Mouse’s girlfriend, EM, defies our Dolly’s remark that “there’s no such thing
as natural beauty..” your Princess has it on so many levels… love those curlers…. A blessed
day to you and yours, dear one.

Mary, you are a sweet encourager. God has blessed us with so much beauty to enjoy, we only need to open our eyes. Blessings always~

A church prayer garden, Pam. The loveliest of ideas … what a gift to offer the faith community … and beyond!
I imagine myself on a quiet bench within it’s beauty, simply sitting quietly with God, praying, praising. Maybe a tear of joy or sorrow falling.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yes, exactly Linda. It is a lovely spot in our downtown area. Blessings~

I think of all the years I did rollers in the hair (or ironing or whatever!). I think none are needed for that angel but she probably feels very grown up in them! As always, beautiful Sunday thoughts!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Jeanie, she loves for me to curl her hair!

Pam, I love the prayer garden…a very sacred area to pray and “be still.” Your garden photos to include the butterfly is so beautiful. Ella Mae and her curlers are the cutest. I hope you got a photo after the curlers came out. She is a very beautiful girl and growing quickly. Just keep enjoying every moment. God’s blessings to you and Butch. I can’t wait to see the barn and look forward to Blooms tomorrow.

Thank you Dianne. Ella Mae is a girlie girl, she likes for me to curl her hair and spray perfume on her neck.

Seeing the southern gardens is such a beautiful delight when you share them.
Ella Mae is truly going to be a gorgeous southern belle as she already is learning on how to get ready for a party! I love it!
The butterfly was just precious and so happy it was still going strong.
Hmmmm that pasta salad looks delish… I may try making something similar soon.
Happy Tuesday!

Thank you for your visits, I am always encouraged by each one!

Oh, that little princess!! She just gets cuter by the day! I loved that prayer garden. I think your very own garden would be such a serene, lovely place to go and pray each day and is just as pretty! May the Lord bless you, sweet friend. 🙂
