Happy Tuesday dear friends and I hope your week is off to a good start. Is it hot where you live? Considering where we live in the Deep South, this past weekend was quite unusual as our temperatures were pleasant and our heat index was not even close to triple digits. Much of the country has been experiencing record heat. This week brings highs in the 80’s, which is like a cold snap in July! It should be pleasant at my picnic table, won’t you join me?
The three blooming Rose of Sharon trees demanded a tablescape on the rustic picnic table!
Blue and white is always a favorite and I love mixing it with pink!
Summer provides abundant blooms from the garden…vanilla strawberry hydrangeas and one gladiolus fill the urn. I know three gladioli would have been better, but only one was in bloom! Of course, now there are several.
The checked tablecloth appears peach in the photos, but it is pink. Cobalt blue bud vases hold Sioux crape myrtle blooms.
Wicker chargers hold dinner plates from the Spode Blue Room “Traditions” collection.
Picnic tables are narrow, so the setting is kept simple but definitely a touch of elegance!
The Rose of Sharon is a deciduous shrub or small tree. Like other hibiscus, its attractive flowers are its main selling point.
Our trees have beautiful lavender blooms with striking stamens!
Thank you for your visits and gracious comments. Wishing you a most wonderful day!

Pam, your table is lovely and I do love the pink and blue. I just had one glad open yesterday, I think I will have a few more – the little neighborhood bunny was so kind and topped them for me. So, it is a wonder that we even will have a few blooms.
Your tablescapes are always so pretty and what a view you do have at your picnic table. What a treat to be a guest at such a lovely table. Have a wonderful week, my friend.

Thank you my friend. Those bunnies can be little pests even though they are cute! Happy Tuesday!

Pam, what a lovely setting you’ve created. I love the color of your Rose of Sharon; we have two as you come up to our front porch, but they are white(wish they were pink or lavender); last fall I cut them back, maybe too much, but they are coming back. Don’t know if I’ll have any blooms this year. Thank you for sharing your lovely table setting and yard.
Hugs,
Noreen

A beautiful tablescape Pam! The glad is gorgeous among the hydrangeas. Blue & pink together makes a great combo. We are finally getting a break from the rain, heat & humidity here in SW TN. It’s only going to be in the 80’s today -Yay! I can actually weed without having my energy zapped. After seeing your pretty tablecloth I found some spring dinner plates by 222 5th that are pink checked with a cute bunny in the center online from Sierra (they’re a part of HomeGoods, T J Maxx, etc.). I honestly don’t know if I’m excited to “discover ” an online shopping avenue for their wonderful variety of goods or if it’s too tempting! Lol Have a great day! Clara ❤️

Clara, those plates sound so lovely. I must check out Sierra, those plates sound so cute. Enjoy your weeding today sweet friend!

I LOVE the lavender rose of Sharon bush! That is my all-time favorite color, with that fuschia/pink coming in a close second! When my dear Mom partially crossed over three days before the Lord took her to Heaven, she told me she saw flowers. I said, “Mom, what color were they?” She said, “Purple.” Of course! Her favorite color was lavender, too! I know Heaven must be so beautiful when we look and see all of the gorgeous colors and things He had created for us to enjoy in this life! Just a foretaste of what He has waiting for all of us over there! It is always such an uplift to my day to see your lovely posts in our inbox, sweet friend. May Jesus bless you for being such a bright light in this dark world!

Thank you dear friend for your gracious and inspirational comments. I look forward to each visit with you!

There is just something about pink and blue! Your tablescape is so attractive. Rose of Sharon always reminds me of my grandmother. She had two in front of her house.
Happy Week to you!
