“Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting.”
Psalms 147:1
Hello dear readers! I have finally recovered from our 17+ hours and almost 1,000 mile drive from Fredericksburg, TX to “sweet home Alabama.” We had reservations to stop and spend the night, but we decided to keep trucking. I love vacations, but I can’t wait to get back home. I will be posting about our road trip on Thursday.
You all know how much I love color, so today’s tablescape sings of bright happy colors…yellow, red, and blue! The heat and humidity have returned, so I know you are thankful to view from your air-conditioned space.
It was so much fun to set up this colorful table. My inspiration was this tablecloth that has been in my linen closet for a long time…
…I simply pulled colors from the cloth for salad plates, glassware, and napkins!
A simple bouquet was cut from my garden…
…zinnias and the last of my sunflowers!
Everyday white dinner plates hold salad plates that were purchased at TJ Maxx many years ago. I love their blue flower in the center and the vivid yellow rim of the Paula Deen plates. Bright red napkins are held with lemon napkin rings.
Cobalt blue glassware completes each place setting!
A cobalt blue vase and votive candle holders hold center stage on the table.
Do you see my Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangeas turning pink?
“We might think we are nurturing our garden, but of course it’s our garden really nurturing us.”
-Jenny Uglow
Thank you so much for your visits and gracious comments. My heart was so warmed when some of you saw Roxanne’s comment on Sunday’s post asking me to pray for her sister, and a couple of you replied that you would be praying. I feel like my readers are a family and I treasure each one of you. Wishing you a joy-filled day!

Thank you Sandra. Butch hates flying these days, he has done it so much of his career. However, driving on crowded interstates gets the best of me. Wishing you a lovely day.

Pam,
Instead of walking around the flower department at the grocery store in a fog trying to decide which flowers to choose, I’m going to take a photo of my tablecloth and coordinate!
Thank you for that great idea and for all your inspirations!

Have a great week. We are at the beach with family. I lost my comment on Sunday. Great post. Our laptops would not work until Monday! After writing a long comment on my phone and losing it, there was so much to do getting settled I couldn’t rewrite it but I enjoyed the post.

Dearest Pam and the Everyday Living family, from the bottoms of our hearts, my sister Kelley and I both thank you for your prayers. Yesterday she had a 103 temperature and an infection not under control. Today she was discharged from the hospital. God heard your prayers! Once the infection has cleared, she will have surgery in a few weeks. Although I have never met any of you, all of you are such dear women and hold a special place in my heart. Thank you.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Roxanne, we are so grateful for this good report about Kelley! God always hears our prayers and we can trust Him for His perfect will. We may have never met, but we are sisters in Christ.

Lovely table. Love the vibrant pretty colors. Oh girl, you are the woman! I would have to split my time up traveling back. But it takes us forty forever’s to get anywhere it seems because I am one of those that wants to stop quite often. But most often, coming home, I am ready for HOME! No place like home. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Beautiful table! Can’t wait to see your trip pictures. Flying makes me physically sick (I know, it’s a crazy fear) and traffic really gets to me these days, so I’m not much of a traveler. Home makes me happy, but I do love traveling with others through pictures.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Beverly. I agree that the interstate traffic with the 18 wheelers gets to me. Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!
