“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!”
Psalms 95:1-2
” Country roads take me home!”
A scene from the campus of picturesque Berry College in Rome, GA!
The wild sunflowers have fared better this year than some we planted !
An exterior that looks peaceful and kept can certainly hide a lot of clutter on the inside. We wouldn’t want you to see what is behind the door. Our garage makes a good comparison of how our lives can be sometimes!
An appetizer of house-made potato chips and charred onion dip at Bottega Cafe!
Vinca is a common annual that we always plant and sometimes I think we overlook it’s beauty!
These gobblers didn’t seem to mind a photo. A flock of birds earlier would not cooperate for a pic, but we were glad to see the flock had a number of young birds.
The roses have struggled some lately as the dog days of summer have arrived full force. A good all night rain would be nice!
Late afternoon just after sundown and things seem green enough… but our water bill reveals the sprinklers have been working overtime!
”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”.

Such lovely photos this morning, Pam. I especially enjoyed the gobblers, it is so wonderful to see nature thriving and well. Enjoyed the photos of Vinca and the wild sunflowers. We had both in VA. and they do love the south.
Miss seeing the girls this morning. Wishing you and your lovely family a beautiful and peaceful day, dear friend.

Thank you sweet Sandra. We are just trying to stay cool in our 100 hundred degree temps. A lovely day to you as well❤️

Beautiful photography . Hubby and I have a plan that works for him. I keep the house clean and straight and he keep the garage is his usual manor. When I can’t take it one minute longer I use the leaf blower and blow out everything that will move.🤭

Alice, that is so funny. Have a wonderful day!

Charred onion dip! Oh, my, I imagine that is SO good!! Your garden just draws me in and brings a sense of peace even just looking at it in photos! Seeing it at first light made me think of the song, “I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses,” and I imagine you have some wonderful walks and talks with the dear Lord in that garden! I am so thankful you share all the beauty with us here, sweet friend. Many blessings to you!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you sweet friend. I love the song you mentioned “In the Garden”, it is still a favorite. Many blessings to you!

The turkeys are fun to watch. We usually go to Bottega or Chez Fonfon every 4-6 weeks, sometimes more often. Stay cool, if you can!

Dear friend, a beautiful walk through these lands of America. The photos are fascinating like the old mill … I love it, I love it …
On Sundays you invite us to very appetizing meals and my appetite opens … hahaha and it can be a catastrophe for my weight, of course I can’t eat the PC screen … well, that’s fine.
I did not comment on your previous post, but I will tell you that I enjoyed remembering your beautiful kitchen.
Do you know that I have all your saved posts? they are simply lovely …
big hug

What a delightful Sabbath treat ~ the Scriptures, your exquisite garden, the placid setting at
Berry College, reflections of, and the humorous comparison of exterior to interior garage
conditions. Wishing you and yours a peaceful and enjoyable Sunday, Pam dear.

Happy Sunday, Pam and Butch! One of my favorite verses from Psalms that is always a heart lift!! I am going to have to drive all the way to Alabama just to eat at Bottega Cafe. All of the photos this week are so peaceful and don’t look H.O.T.! I’m a neat freak married to someone who is…not. He has a room we euphemistically call “the study” but behind closed doors is actually his messy hobby room. I never clean in there in return for him keeping the rest of the house straight. It’s the key to a 46+ year marriage!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks for sharing your personal story, sounds like Butch and me. He never wants to discard anything. Seth is 33 and we have all of his toys still. Have a wonderful week!

Pam, such beautiful photographs for our Sunday! You need to publish a coffee table book with all of the gorgeous photographs and scriptures you share. I hope you have a happy and blessed Sunday, sweet friend! P.S. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one with some clutter in the garage. Yesterday, my hubby made me go through 5 boxes of books that I had stored in the garage. I don’t know how we accumulated so many-lol!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Shannon, I have a book addiction and need to purge. Thank you for your sweet encouragement.

Dog days of summer is right. We’ve had a busy week and our sprinkler was not on and I did not realize it until I noticed plants were brown!! Just missing two days of watering took its toll.
Do the turkeys come around during turkey season? Funny how they seem to know and don’t appear.
Hoping we get some much needed rain today!
Have a blessed week.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Bonnie, we have turkeys year round😂 We are in desperate need of rain. Happy new week to you!

Pam I’m not familiar with the term ‘dog days of summer’ what does that mean please?
Bless you,
Jennifer
Pam @ Everyday Living says
We use it to mean the long, hot days of summer typically in August in the Deep South.
It actually refers to the Dog Star, Sirius and its position in the heavens.
Hopefully that helps.
Tea With Jennifer says
Oh, yes that is really interesting Pam, thank you! 😀
