“Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!”
Psalms 34:3
Happy Tuesday dear friends! Can you believe that Sunday is the first day of September and Monday will be Labor Day? Many consider that Labor Day marks the end of summer, however summer doesn’t officially end until September 23rd. Here in the Deep South there are plenty more lingering days of summer, with possible ninety degree temps well into October.
As long as weather permits, you will find me in the garden or at the picnic table for Tablescape Tuesday! The garden has taken on its softer shades of pink and green by this time of year.
A soft pink tablecloth was chosen to complement the hydrangeas.
The weather was very iffy on Saturday afternoon when I set the table. It never rained but was dark, gloomy, and humid…at least there was a slight breeze!
“A fallen leaf is nothing more than a summer’s wave goodbye.”

A simple centerpiece of hydrangeas that I cut from the garden!
Toile pink dinner and salad plates by Churchill rest on floral placemats.
Crocheted napkin rings that are treasured keepsakes!
The iridescent stemware was found at TJ Maxx in early spring!
I leave you with this image that has the the look of summer fading into fall!
Thank you for your sweet visits and gracious comments…wishing you all a wonderful week!

Just beautiful Pam! I always look forward to your tables in the garden and tyour hydrangeas make the perfect summer-into-fall centerpiece with maiden grass in the background! We’ve had a welcome break in the heat and humidity this past weekend with temps in the 70s…so nice! It’s going to be even harder going forward as the mercury and humidity climb back to the 90s again. Happy Tuesday ♥

The weather was nicer this weekend but we were so busy traveling and attending functions we hardly had time to notice. We got needed rain also yesterday and the night before. And it has just started raining this morning.
Love your summer table fading into fall. That last shot captures the iridescence of your goblets so well. The toile pattern dishes are so pretty and I love how you added the floral placemats.Your grasses make a great background.
Have a wonderful week.

The rain has been a blessing. I know you had a wonderful weekend with your family. Thanks so much Bonnie❤️

Dear Pam, a beautiful table. Your hydrangeas are so pretty and perfect for your table. I so love pink and green and your dinnerware is lovely. We are enjoying a little rain today and I believe our 90 degree weather may be gone.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the remainder of the week. We will blink and it will be Christmas.

Thanks so much Sandra! Sandra, I can’t believe how fast this year has gone.

Oh Pam, the soft pinks are wonderful in your late summer garden! I love to use muted colors as fall arrives, just like hydrangeas that fade over time. The iridescent stemware adds a magical feel and the napkin rings caught my eye right away, so pretty! My yard looks like Mother Nature got her paint brush out, my grass went from dried out to summer green after the past few days of rain! As I tell you all the time, your garden is gorgeous every time of year, and the background grasses are always my favorite part! On to Labor Day…

What a beautiful table setting, I especially love that last photo! Your garden still looks so good. Awoke to pouring rain, two inches so far. It made morning coffee especially delightful on the porch. Tomorrow I head back to Charleston for my sister’s surgery to finally get rid of that golf ball size kidney stone. She named him Sampson!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Roxanne. I would have enjoyed morning coffee with you while listening to the rain. Prayers for your sister and keep me informed.

It looks like delicate Tuesday at Pam’s … The fading hues of Summer are perfectly matched by your table setting.
Those hand-worked napkin rings are exquisite…. does anyone still do such exacting crocheting.? Would love to find
that pattern.. We have been blessed by cooler temps and enough moisture to keep things green. The garden is less
intense with color and it will soon be time to plant the bulbs. I’ve gotten some new iris at the local iris society and they
promise to be spectacular come Spring. I also followed your suggestion and obtained the Lilly Fritillaria, thank you very much… Blessings for week, dear Friend.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Mary, everything has returned to green after our refreshing rain yesterday! I know your iris will be beautiful next spring! Happy week to you sweet friend!

when I moved the date on the kitchen calendar today, I wanted to move it back instead of forward. August has flown by and already there are hints of fall here.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Linda, it seems the year has flown by

How very true! Do you think it has anything to do with age?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I guess so, when I was much younger I heard older (😂) people say that all the time.
