“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22-23
Hello my dear readers. My favorite season officially begins on Monday. It seems that we have an arctic blast today and tomorrow with temps only in the 80’s, but I am excited for the little break before we are back in the 90’s. I have spent much time complaining over our hot and dry September…wishing for fall to make an appearance. Before it does, I need to properly say “farewell to summer.” Join me for a few reflections of summer 2019!

The collage represents the summer garden with lots of colorful blooms! The garden is prettiest in July to early August.
Limelight hydrangeas have been one of the mainstays with their large and showy blooms!
I have enjoyed zinnias galore this summer…they are still going strong. I cut big bouquets for a baby shower this past Sunday and several people thought they were faux. Hint: Buy seeds, scatter over loose soil, don’t thin!
I made several visits to my friend’s hydrangea farm and shared several of over fifty different hydrangeas that she grows. To know Martha is to love her!
Summer is all about patriotic tables especially as the 4th of July approaches! My beloved Mother’s quilt was the showstopper along with hydrangeas from the farm for this Monday Morning Blooms!
The same hydrangeas from the above photo landed in a red watering can for a patriotic tablescape blog hop!
Summers are all about garden tablescapes…most often simply set with the garden as the backdrop!
Hydrangeas and seashells might be an odd combination, but I think it worked!
Using a vintage Clabber Girl Baking Powder can was one of my favorite Monday Morning Blooms!
Stunning mountain laurel in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park!
An April Cornell zinnia tablecloth paired nicely with a centerpiece of zinnias cut from the garden!
A mix of beautiful blooms on a stunning cloth from a Greek Islands trip several years ago!
A table set in celebration of my favorite summer fruit...peaches!
We enjoyed time at one of our favorite places this summer…The Swag in North Carolina!
A Summer Road Trip to Texas was lots of fun…
Thank you for your visits and your most gracious comments. I so enjoy reading each one and always do my best to reply. Wishing you a beauty-filled weekend!

Beautiful photos Pam! A gorgeous compilation of lovely blooms, fabulous textiles and God’s beauty. We’re so happy you’re getting a break from the weather. We’re still baking but hopefully we’ll get a break soon; we’ve broken record highs twice this week & have code orange ozone warnings. The zinnias are loving it as are the finches. Love to see them. Enjoy your weather break sweet Pam! Always love your posts! Clara ❤️

A beautiful and wonderful summer indeed! As we are all heat weary right now, it’s important to remember the best parts of the summer we enjoyed, as your stunning photos remind us! And oh how I will be smiling in gratitude as we watch the northern states deal will months of snow 🙂 Enjoy our cooler days while they last Pam!

Here it’s like someone flipped a switch and the season changed overnight from summer to fall. There are touches of color everywhere and pumpkins/gourds galore. BTW, except when I comment from WP my comments are rejected but know that I read and enjoy every post.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Linda, I don’t understand that. I, too was having the same problem commenting on blogs until I switched to Chrome. I am so sorry.

My dear friend, I have been absent for a few days because I visited my birthplace where my entire maternal family was originally: Galicia.
Galicia is the region of Spain located to the northwest. I was born in the city of A Coruña, where in ancient times they believed that the earth was flat and after A Coruña there was only the Atlantic Ocean, that is, “the end of the world.”
Adorable memories that I will tell you in an email.
Your summer farewell is beautiful, I love the table that has in the watermelon dishes … the tablecloth is beautiful!
The photos of you and Butch are beautiful … I love them …
Yes, we say goodbye in summer, but in a few days fall will come, that season that gives us a beautiful landscape of serene colors …
A big hug

Enjoying summer from your perspective helped me forget the heat and high humidity that is absolutely draining for me. What beauty you find in God’s beautiful world! Your ability to take that and create gorgeous compositions that only highlight the natural beauty is always amazing to me. Thank you sharing your God gifts with us. Now, we will look forward to what Fall brings in the way of its own kind of color and beauty. And we will again thank the giver of all good gifts.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you sweet Libby! We have a little reprieve from the heat and humidity, but only 2 or 3 days. God’s creation is amazing, and He is the giver of all good gifts. Blessings always!

Pam, I really enjoyed this walk down the path of Summer 2019! As summer drifts away, the thing I will miss most is the hummingbirds; they give me countless hours of entertainment. A friend has taken up beekeeping and had labels printed for her honey jars with the Galatians scripture.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Roxanne. The hummingbirds and butterflies are so much fun to watch. I love local honey, it is supposed to help allergies.

So beautiful to reminisce with you, sweet friend. Summer will soon be over, and our favorite season will be here once again! I just praise the Lord so much to still be here and to be able to enjoy another fall. So many times this year, I have wondered with having so many health issues and scary situations, but God has brought me through SO much every, single time. Even though life is so uncertain, it is so precious to walk through it holding to God’s unchanging hand. Praise His name for His faithfulness!! May He richly bless you and Butch!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Cheryl. I hope that your health issues have been resolved dear friend. Blessings always!

Pam, Your farewell to summer is beautiful! So many gorgeous blooms, especially hydrangeas!. I’m enjoying our brief respite and cool down. We’re back to the 90s next week. I just read that our warm weather pattern is likely to continue through October due to the jet stream and high pressure system…I hope they’re wrong, I’m ready for sweater weather!.Happy Weekend ♥
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Mary. I am dreaming of cooler weather!

My “thing” is to have fresh flowers in the house every week–usually from Trader Joes. This inspires me to grow them myself!! Beautiful photos!!

Pamela, zinnias are really easy to grow! The nearest Trader Joe’s is sixty miles away.
