“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you. Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure.”
Proverbs 4:23-26
Happy 89th Birthday (today) to Pam’s Dad, known mostly as Pawpaw!

No rain but drops of dew are welcome. Asters are a favorite!
With our late summer and early fall so dry and unseasonably hot, we wonder what to expect as far as color from these maples!
Dogwood trees have almost completed another season…seems like it was only yesterday that this was a beautiful Spring bloom!
It is probably not hard to imagine that this girl has no trouble getting what she wants from her PJ and Da!
Sometimes being a “sitting duck” isn’t so bad!
Good advice says… don’t tug on superman’s cape… don’t pull the mask off the lone ranger… and don’t mess with my hamburger!
Bridge over the Coosa River…not troubled water but quite smooth on a clear Autumn morning!
Seriously enjoying autumn color up close and personal!

Just beautiful, dear Pam. A most happy birthday to your precious dad. I know you treasure every moment with him. Ella Mae becomes more adorable with every photo, she is so pretty. Love all your garden photos, especially the little frog on the mums. Frogs are supposed to be a sign of a healthy garden. And, I do love your hamburger and onion rings. Is there anything better? NO.

A most blessed Birthday and year to come for your Dad. I suspect he personifies Billy Graham’s
estimate of a most valuable asset and does not go unsung or unpraised. Blessed you are to have one another. I chuckled at your hamburger caption…. really getting down to the meat of
the matter. EM continues to spin her magic with those soulful expressions…how she delights.
A serene and enjoyable Sabbath to all…Thank you Pam and Butch for these lovely photos and
scripture gifts of the Lord.

Dear Pam.
Your post and your Bible verse meant more to me than you could imagine. Dealing with elderly parents right now, and I’m not always as gracious as I should be. Please never underestimate the power of your blog. You certainly inspired me today.
With many happy wishes for your dad.
Sharon

My friend Pam, I love your father’s sweet look. He has been and is a handsome man, there is no doubt about that. Congratulations on such an important day in the life of a human being.
And we continue with the beautiful family: Ella Mae, she has a very beautiful and serene gesture, I love …
Nature is beautiful. It still has a summer tint that will gently change it to the beautiful shades of autumn.
All beautiful and serene … but … Ah! I forgot to say that I will never think about commenting on your burger … it’s too sensitive! hahahaha

We had a wonderful party celebrating Pawpaw yesterday. That is funny that you liked the frog photo, I was voting no for placing it the post, but Butch vetoed my vote. Enjoy your week dear friend!

Happy Belated Birthday to your Dad, Pam! We flew back into WV on Sat evening, and I was shocked at the lack of color over our hills. We hope we’ve brought fall back from the west with us. Temps have dropped and are forecast for the foreseeable future, and it’s raining. Glory be!

Thank you Rita. We have broken all kinds of records for high temps in October. Hopefully, it has finally changed.
