“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
Ephesians 6:10-11
A foggy morning following a few night time showers!
Sumac is on fire. With most vegetation still green the red really stands out!
Spiderweb-like grass masks the pumpkins and makes you think one should be carved into a jack-o-lantern.
The butterflies have taken to Ella Mae. She can now pet them!
…as cirrus clouds paint the heavens. One of our prettiest autumn days so far this season!
We were very late in planting seeds but hoping for a few asters before cold weather arrived. We had given up on seeing any but to our surprise this beauty popped out a couple of days ago. A bit different from the typical aster we expected however we have no complaints.
A little rainfall has given new life to the last of the yellow mums.

Those cirrus cloud skies are gorgeous. Love EM’s ability to touch the butterfly! And the spectacles of fall are everywhere – the sumac, the grasses draping the pumpkins, the lone aster…..♥
Thank you Rita. Have a wonderful Sunday!
Such a beautiful Sunday post this morning, Pam. You always make my heart happy. It seems I read somewhere that butterflies are sweet visitors from heaven. Perhaps, they love Ella Mae as much as she loves them. Pam, your photos of the clouds are magnificent, such lovely art work. And, your aster is lovely. I would imagine you would see them well into November. Wishing you and your family a beautiful Sunday, dear friend.
Thank you Sandra. The zinnias were all cut down yesterday, so I guess the butterflies will move along. Happy Sunday!
Oh my goodness, Miss Ella Mae has another gift. Your photos this morning speak to the change of season coming your way. It’s currently 26 degrees here in SD and all week long we are expecting highs of only in the 30’s. Yikes. Sister love starts early as you see with your sweet grandchildren. Have a blessed day.
Alice, that is cold! Thank you and stay warm!
How beautiful the clouds are in your photos. The fall color is upon you and is so pretty. I look forward to more coming soon.
That is amazing the monarch didn’t mind being touched. What a great capture!
I love the photo of your two girls. So sweet.
Thank you for the powerful scripture and the lovely photo of the early morning fog. So serene!
Have a lovely week. Celebrate your birthday all week.
Thank you sweet Bonnie! The clouds were amazing last Thursday!
Such a lovely post Pam capturing the season so perfectly. Your lone aster is perfectly beautiful. The photo of Emma and Ella is so heartwarming. The love they have for each other is so visible…just precious. I would like to have those neighbors next door. Reminds me of how I grew up. I knew your birthday was at the end of October and glad Bonnie reminded us. Have a great birthday my wonderful friend.
Thank you Dianne. Thank you for the sweet birthday wishes. Have a lovely day ❤️
the vibrancy of the sumac is one of my favorite sightings. it looks like you are at the peak of fall. maine beauty is all but gone.
Thank you Linda. With the rainfall this week, a lot of leaves fella!
Oh goodness, Ella Mae can touch butterflies???? The photo of the pumpkin stack behind the grasses is gorgeous! And those clouds!! Happy Birthday!
Jenna
Thank you dear Jenna!
I always enjoy your Sunday posts. The cirrus cloud make me think of the angels singing “Glory to God in the highest” when Jesus was born.
Nancy, you are always so sweet. Thank you and have a wonderful week!
Being set down in such bucolic settings and reading your selected scripture this Sunday is food for the spirit. To be touched by peace, just sit is Pam’s and Butch’s misty garden. Emma looks as though she is in the midst of a surprise body burp and EM assuring her that it is OK…
That precious EM is drawn to the butterflies and they to her, is no surprise .. a childlike miracle
brought with her from God, which is our Home. Thank you for the whole of this Sabbath visual
blessing.
Thank you dear Mary! Wishing you a most wonderful week!
The beauty of God’s handiwork never ceases to amaze me but the best is the picture of those sweet grands. Happy Birthday and may you be blessed with peace, prosperity and good health to enjoy all God’s blessings.
Thank you dear Bobbie for your sweet birthday wishes!
Amazing pictures! I love our “gathering” here on Sundays, full of faith and beauty. Thanks, dear friends.God bless.
Thank you sweet Maristella!
The fog shrouded garden and cirrus clouds are so beautiful! It is topped only by the beauty of sisterly love. There is nothing like the bond between two sisters…my sister is 16 years younger than I, but she is my very best friend. It is going to be 80 here today, and I managed to get poison ivy cleaning out a flower bed!
Thank you dear Roxanne. Yikes, take care of the poison ivy!
What a beauty of autumn! … summer is gone, now we have to enjoy the beautiful color of autumn, so beautiful, so elegant …
How elegant is your garden with that gloomy autumn tone … I love it.
I love your beautiful granddaughters, little Emma is very pretty, those blue eyes are beautiful.
Warm colors, warm scenes … And warm hugs for the Richardson family
Dolores
¡Enviarle amor y abrazos!
Pam
Such gorgeous picture, Pam! However, my most favorite are those precious sisters. Hope you had a wonderful Sunday, sweet friend!
Thank you sweet friend, have a wonderful week!
How lovely to be able to pet a butterfly!
Yes, amazing! Thank you Jeanie!
I am so late to your Sunday post. We had guests in from Pennsylvania who never have been to Arizona.
I can’t believe she is petting the Butterfly! That is amazing!
And seeing the girls… just makes me smile. 😊
Happy Week to you all!
I know you enjoyed the company. Thank you my friend!
The picture of the two sisters is just priceless! SO precious! You are abundantly blessed, as I know you know! Have a blessed day, sweet friend!
