“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:19-21
One of Charleston’s many beautiful churches. And the sky this day was incredibly blue. Maybe we create a new word…incrediblue!
Our maples at home are not very showy this season but this one nearby is attempting to make up for those that are struggling!
We were unable to capture the depth and width of these fields. Cotton seems to stretch a mile in both directions! Most of the cotton near our house has been picked, but a drive through the neighboring county revealed there is still much work before the harvest is complete!
A walk in the woods is refreshing this time of year!
We eventually blow the leaves into a pile but for a while we enjoy their beauty contrasted against green grass! Do you rake or blow leaves as soon as they hit the ground?
Ella Mae has known what a camera lens is for quite some time and now it appears Emma Kennedy is catching on!
We chased this guy for 10 minutes along a Charleston lake path before he settled long enough for a pic!
Stuffed hushpuppies filled with lobster, rock shrimp, leeks, and corn over Creole tomato sauce. We found it at Fleet Landing in Charleston!
This old house has seen better days but it still stands while everything else around it is gone!
We’ve always called these puffballs but the surface looks a bit like the cover of a football or basketball (with a little imagination)!
The Crepe Myrtles lost a lot of leaves this past week but this one is hanging on to some very pretty red orange!
Sycamore leaves can be very large compared to most trees!
A beauty in it’s own right but a real standout since everything around is still green!
”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”.

Ella Mae and Emma Kennedy are adorable! No wonder you stay energized because they keep you young and happy!
Lovely pictures of the fall. I especially like the last pic of the beautiful tree. Ours are showing off also. I looked out at my neighbors golden hickory trees this morning. I have several large ones also but they don’t get the golden color. My leaves just turn brown and drop. This happens every year. There must be different varieties.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

Thank you so much Bonnie. I hope you are feeling better and wishing you a most blessed week my friend!

Pam, these photos this morning are exceptionally beautiful. The one of the church in Charleston against the vivid blue sky is stunning. And what can I say about the girls? Well, they are beautiful and so precious, and a little of personality of Miss Emma is shinning through. I know you love them to pieces. And your ending photo is one for your book. It is truly magnificent. Thank you for such beauty to begin my day. Wishing you a lovely day full of joy, sweet friend.

Spectacular sights! Autumn has come to your neck of the woods!
That church in Charleston was so beautiful. And the cotton fields do go on for miles to where the eye can not see anymore.
The girls are getting older by the minute. I know you are capturing every moment! Ella is such a wonderful big sister to Emma.
Happy Sunday and Happy Week To You …my friend!

The church in Charleston is beautiful captured against a bright blue sky. Love seeing the cotton fields and beautiful autumn color. The girls are just so adorable and yes Emma has become familiar with the camera lens. They are already so close. It is so obvious and so precious. Happy Birthday again dear friend. Blue-eyed Emma has that look of determination.. proud of her dear Sister/protector, EM. Your
tour of nature this morning, Pam dear, is captivating and incrediblue is a picture-perfect description. How can anyone view what you have captured with your lens and not believe that a tender, loving Creator has furnished His world, – our world – His gift to us -, with breathtaking beauty and reassurance of His Divine care and promises? Thank you and Butch for this
blessed Sabbath to all.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Mary, Amen. We do have a tender, loving Creator that furnished His world as His gift to us! He is worthy of all praise. Have a wonderful week!

I love the word Incrediblue and am adding to it my vocabulary! The leaves have been beautiful that have turned, but I have never seen so many green leaves in November. That are such happy little girls. I’m looking for a perfect scripture verse about sisters for a Christmas gift…there is always the Proverbs 31 woman, but I wanted something different. Have a wonderful week, Pam and Butch!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Roxanne. We still have a lot of green leaves, but I think they will just die and fall after the few days of cold temps this week.

Oh Pam, your world is so beautiful — from the orange of the monarch to the gold of the leaves and the pink of the resident angels, it is splendid. Happy New Week!

Thank you Jennifer. I was reading of the tragic fires in NSW, is that near you?
Tea With Jennifer says
Those fires are some hours from us Pam, horrific scenes & sadly loss of life over the last 7 days have happened in the state.
Though we have been given a Bush Fire warning today & tomorrow of a level classified as Catastrophic! :-/
With a total fire ban in place. The smoke from the fires already burning are quite thick all around us, so I have had to close up the house…
We do have our Fire plan prepared if we need to evacuate, if fires break out close to our village.
The drought here in Australia has led to these intense conditions with hot windy days fuelling the fires. Prayers definitely needed.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I will be praying for you and your family and for all those impacted by the horrific fires! 🙏🏻❤️

Thank you Pam greatly appreciated! ♥

Hello dear friend, I have not forgotten the Richardson family, I think that would be unthinkable for me. I have had issues that force me to devote time to them and that, it is just what prevents me from reaching you.
Well, I’m here to calm my life seeing so much beauty, that autumnal beauty that I like so much: the golden trees, the dead leaves … (“Les feuilles mortes” that Yves Montand sang …)
As it happens, I really like EVERYTHING you’ve shown: The majestic church, The beauty of the maple, the cotton, the woods, the fallen leaves …
But above all that I love the two little sisters Ella Mae and Emma so beautiful … they are beautiful.
Your Sundays are very special, they give rise to thinking positively, relaxing, even meditating on the beauty that God gives us every day and that compensates for so much negative things that we also wander through our world.
A big hug
Dolores
