“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”
Psalms 100:1-5
EM is getting in position to help her PJ cook breakfast!
Thanks to Appalachian Digital Media for capturing one of our local farmers working hard to complete another harvest!
…along with a bit of dust from the soy beans!
And how could you improve on this shot! Awesome!
Amazing seared flounder with vegetables that was beyond delicious at Chez Fonfon!
We are trying to hang on but it may be nearing time to say bye to autumn and prepare a hello to greet winter. We can’t consider it seriously until after Thanksgiving!
A very late afternoon rainbow that almost looked like a colored spike driven into the pasture. And, we couldn’t help but notice clouds that joined the scene to form what appears to be a cross! Fitting!
We hope you’ve all had a great weekend and that your Thanksgiving plans are taking shape!

The rainbow and clouds did make a rainbow! How incredible!
I bet Em loves to help out in the kitchen.
Beautiful Sunday Morning Captures and scriptures!
Happy Thanksgiving week to you!
Thank you dear Nancy! I am happy to report my dining room tree is up and decorated!
It always makes me feel peaceful to read your posts early on Sunday morning. What a blessing you all are to so many people. It will be hard to top the image of the rainbow cross. EM should be going into high gear over Christmas this year! Have a great Thanksgiving week.
EM is so excited about Christmas. She is always asking how many day until Christmas. Happy Thanksgiving week Roxanne!
I agree with Roxanne that it is a pleasure and it is peaceful to read your Sunday posts. Scripture with beautiful fall and harvest pictures acknowledge our creator and his rainbow and cloud forming a cross acknowledge his majesty and put us in awe of who He is.
Your son’s aerial photography is amazing. Farmers work hard and Thanksgiving is a great time to acknowledge the blessings they bring to us.
Sure wish we lived closer to Chez Fonfon because that flounder dish looks wonderful.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Thank you sweet Bonnie. We should meet at Chez Fonfon again. Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving week!
Oh, Pam that rainbow with cross is amazing. God’s brush strokes are always so beautiful. I so love the farmers in the fields gathering the harvest. Miss those sights from Virginia. Our home there was surrounded by fields. Miss Ella Mae is so sweet, she is simply beyond precious. Have a lovely Thanksgiving week, dear friend. Many blessings to you and your lovely family.
Thank you my friend and enjoy Thanksgiving week!
Happy Sunday, Pam! What pretty photographs to start our morning off. The rainbow picture is amazing! Enjoy your day, sweet friend!!!
Thank you dear Shannon!
Pam What wonderful photos ❣️ The rainbow cross is my favorite as it’s so unique. EM is so sweet! Love that she likes to help out in the kitchen. It brings back precious memories! That’s how I learned to cook & I still use those recipes today. John Deeres are on our back roads harvesting cotton & soybeans. The pictures capture it perfectly. Each picture is so special and the narrative so fitting. We’re so thankful for your blog. It’s a blessing & we enjoy it so! Your talent is an inspiration. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Pam & Butch! Clara ❤️
Thank you sweet Clara. Wishing you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving. Will you be cooking with your hand and shoulder?
Yes, a very pared down version. My husband is a willing, wonderful helper! Wishing you a safe & blessed Thanksgiving! Clara ♥️
That “O my Goodness” moment to discover the rainbowed cloud forming the cross and, indeed,
how “fitting” that it was your lens that caught it. EM is a heart-melter and probably gathering all the food fun memories she will recall when she repeats those recipes as a woman. Thanksgiving
is the time to count among our blessings the farmers who sowed and harvested the food before
us that day. We are so blessed, especially to have Him and each other in Him in this blessed life
Let us hold in our hearts those not so fortunate and reach out in love to bring comfort to them this holiday season. So grateful to you and Butch for these uplifting and enriching posts and the
beauty that you share.
Mary, Butch took the rainbow photo and didn’t see the cross until we downloaded the photo. EM wants to help scramble her eggs, and I let her watch me. I am teaching her about the danger of my gas cooktop.
So many are hurting, hungry, depressed, sick, etc. May we offer them food, a listening ear, and balm for their soul! Happy Thanksgiving week.
Ella Mae is the cuttest girl ! Stunning pictures, dear friends! I wish you had a blessed Sunday!
Thank you for your sweet comments Maristella!
I always love your Sunday publications. The images are fantastic and the quotes that accompany them. Ella Mae, our Sunday protagonist, always beautiful …
As you say, autumn begins to age, at least in these lands where I live. It starts to get quite cold, that winter cold that forces you to warm up a little.
The aerial photos are very good, I love them …
A big hug
Dolores
Hola Dolores, ¡parece que el otoño ha terminado para ti y el invierno ha comenzado! Espero sus visitas mi dulce amigo. He comenzado a decorar mi casa para Navidad. ¿Pones muchas decoraciones? ¡Ten una maravillosa semana!
Love Psalm 100 and the beautiful photos accompanying these verses. The beautiful girl is learning so much from you. Your son’s photos are amazing.
Thank you so much sweet friend! Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving week to you and your family, Pam & Butch! That photo of the rainbow and clouds – outstanding!
Thank you Rita and Happy Thanksgiving!
EM is so beautiful! I just want to kiss her cheeks……Beautiful pictures today to remind me of all the beauty that surrounds us. God is so good to us. Happy Thanksgiving dear lady. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Aw, thanks my friend. Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Some wonderful images! The fields are beautiful, the flounder looks delicious, and if Ella Mae has ever taken a bad photo, I’ve yet to see it. Perfection! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you Jeanie!
Always enjoy your beautiful photos! Love the trees in your back yard! The color is gorgeous.
Thank you Stacey!
What glorious photographs, your Sunday posts are always so beautiful and uplifting! I know you will be gratefully enjoying all your many blessings this week, thank you Pam and Butch!
Jenna
Thank you Jenna! I sure hope we can beat Auburn this Saturday! 🅰️
OH, that beautiful rainbow that looks like a cross! That blessed me so much today! I am starting to feel a lean toward winter, too. As much as I love autumn, I am really getting into the Christmas spirit, and we have already put up our tree! Lord willing, we will do our outside lights on the porch on Thanksgiving Day or the day after. It is all so much fun! Do you and/or Butch have special Christmas memories you would like to share with us? We are opening a platform to share them on our blog throughout this Christmas season. We would love to hear and share either/both of yours, if you feel led to participate! Many blessings to you both this Thanksgiving!
Thank you Cheryl. I have some Christmas memories, I hope to send one to you!
