“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 1:1
Greetings sweet friends! With the cold weather, it really feels like Christmas has arrived in our Appalachian Foothills. I am back again at the dining room table, but what better place to be! We have so many wonderful memories that have been made sitting around the table…birthdays, Easter, Valentine’s Day, New Years Eve, Sunday dinners, and Christmas! It is the smiling faces, great conversations, and laughter that are the most important! In case you missed my tablescape and Giveaway yesterday, you can see it here!
Once again, I am delighted to participate in a Christmas Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by Chloe from Celebrate & Decorate. Please pull up a chair at the table for a “winter holiday!”
In setting a table, I always begin with an inspiration piece…tablecloth, china, centerpiece, etc.
My inspiration for this table was the china pattern “Winter Holiday” by Fitz and Floyd. It remains a favorite of mine with its classic and elegant design, however it was discontinued in 2013.
All of the links for fabulous Tablescape inspiration are provided at the bottom of the post.
A cookie jar is the central figure of the centerpiece. Even though it isn’t a Fitz and Floyd piece, it is a complementary piece with Santa riding in his sleigh filled with toys!
Rustic wood block napkin rings hold tartan and striped napkins paired together!
I have a collection of Fitz and Floyd Santa pitchers that were gifted by friends many years ago. They work perfectly with the bone china and became a part of the table runner centerpiece.
The dinner plate has a beautiful lifelike garland of seasonal foliage in soft greens and cheerful reds. A gold and black banding around the rim and thin gold flourishes around the border and accents provide a rich sumptuous finish. The only negative of this beautiful china is hand washing is recommended.
Winter Holiday rose wreath salad plate displays a sprig of berries and leaves with a bold lattice border.
The only new item on the table is the April Cornell Merry Antique tablecloth that I discovered at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago. As you well know by now, it jumped into my cart! Fresh cut cedar was placed down the center of the table with pine cones and red ornaments. Two large pillar candles flank the cookie jar. The chandelier is also dressed with fresh cedar thanks to my Renaissance Man! The smell of fresh cedar says Christmas time is here!
The cranberry red stemware is almost vintage (like me)!
Wood slice chargers and gold flatware complete each place setting.
On the opposite side of the table is another F&F Santa pitcher from my collection. Isn’t Christmas just magical?
Be sure to visit each one of these talented table stylists for plenty of ideas for you to incorporate on your Christmas tables!

Pam, Your Winter Holiday by Fitz and Floyd is a favorite patterns of yours. I love the pretty pastels for Christmas that are so refreshing in a season of red and green. Your Fitz and Floyd Santa pitchers and sleigh cookie jar are set off beautifully by your AC Merry Antique tablecloth. ..so appropriately named and so ‘you’! So gorgeous to see the twinkling lights of the tree in the background too! As always it’s a treat to join you at the table and blog hop with you. ♥
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Mary. Happy Tuesday!🎄❤️🎄
Yvonda says
Pam, I’ve loved your tablescapes after discovering you last year and I too love to decorate my table- but a quandary for me is how/where to put the food dishes? It always looks too crowded- what do you do?
Many thanks!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yvonda, thank you. For family dinners, I place the food on my island in the kitchen buffet style. For more formal dinners, I serve the food plated and deliver to each guest at the table. It is a little more trouble, but makes the guests feel special!
Nancy says
Oh Pam! This is the most exquisite tablescape ever! I love the tablecloth as it goes perfectly with the China. And I so enjoyed seeing your Christmas Tree in the background!
The Fitz and Floyd Pitchers add such gorgeous accents to the Sleigh Cookie Jar!
Beautiful my friend! Happy Tuesday! 🎄
Pam @ Everyday Living says
You are always so kind my friend! Have you made it back to AZ?
Nancy says
Almost in the air.
Our other Paradise awaits…this evening! ✈️

Christmas is magical and so is your table, Pam. I love the china! That black and gold rim on the dinner plates is super handsome to me, and the Winter Holiday complements it so well. Everything looks so great in your dining room with the pops of red against that new, lighter wall coloring. Even though it’s dressed mostly elegantly, I love that you’ve dressed it rustically too by including wood napkin rings and chargers. Your FItz & Floyd pieces work beautifully with the greens down the center as runner. As always, your thoughtful styling shows your consistent finesse!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much Rita! I could t believe I found the wood napkin rings for a dollar each! I should have bought more and embellished them for presents!
Katie Clooney says
Who needs food when you sit at a table as delicious as yours, Pam. Just when I think you hit the bar, you keep getting better! Enjoy your week!!

Wow, I’m feeling the magical touch of Christmas after reading your post. Thank you for your positive and beautiful descriptions of your lovely china. You could write for magazines. I also got a kick out of your description ” almost vintage like me” stemware.
I noticed your tablecloth immediately. What a lovely find and I have no doubt you will use it again with a new look.
I love your beautiful Fitz and Floyd pieces. They are magical and have sentiment for you also.
You have combined rustic and glam, new and vintage delightfully!
Wishing you a lovely day!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Bonnie!

Pam, your table is truly magical. I was in awe over your lovely mix of elegant plates and your Fitz and Floyd pitchers. I am so glad your lovely tablecloth found its way into your cart since it is perfect for this royal and majestic table. The pop of color in the red stemware and red plaid tartan napkins helps to draw even more attention to your luxurious table. It is so interesting to see how rustic pieces like your pine cones and wood slice napkin rings add just the right about of contrast and keeps the table grounded in natural beauty. Happy holidays and it is such a pleasure to blog hop with you.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much Marsha for your lovely comments. It is a pleasure to hop with!

Your table is beautiful. You have so many gorgeous plates!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Penny!
the Painted Apron says
You had me at Fitz & Floyd, those pitchers are stunning! And your plates are gorgeous! The soft reds are wonderful with your new tablecloth and the Santa centerpiece. The fresh greenery has to make the room smell amazing, how long with the greens on your chandy last? The long and low greenery runner dotted with candles and ornaments will ensure festive holiday conversations and lingering meals. So beautiful Pam & Butch!
Jenna
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Jenna. The older F&F pieces are much prettier than the newer ones. The cedar will last about a week and Butch will replace with Leyland Cypress which lasts longer, but doesn’t have the fragrance of cedar.
the Painted Apron says
oh, lucky you!!

A festive tablescape Pam! I love your plates! They’re so beautiful. Hand washing reminds me of my Mom. She hand washed everything! Had her dishwasher removed so she could have more room for dishes (I obviously inherited this obsession butI keeping the dishwasher!). Your tablecloth is gorgeous. Isn’t it amazing how things jump into our carts? The Fitz & Floyd pieces are so elegant. I love F&F. I always enjoy visiting your inviting table. Memories around the table are the best! Have a wonderful week sweet Pam! Clara ♥️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Clara. I realize as I am getting older, I am more and more like my beloved mother! How are your hand and shoulder healing?
Enjoy your week 🎄
Clara says
I’m doing quite well thank you dear Pam! My left side has had to compensate & it’s a little slower going but as long as as I don’t do any heavy lifting or rigorous tasks on my right side I can cope with many everyday tasks. I missed communicating the most so being able to type is such a blessing! I’m not good at the hunt & peck system! Lol Praise God I got the shrubs planted before the tumble! God truly blessed me and took care of me! I’m so thankful He watches over us.
Have a wonderful week sweet friend. Clara ❤️
