“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”
Proverbs 4:23
Winter is closing in on us fast. Next Sunday we will officially be into winter and the sun starts coming up earlier as our days start getting longer!
The images through the glass from outside provided a very unusual and interesting pic. There are reflections of reflections! Unique and beautiful and quite by accident!
We see a lot of cardinals outside this time of year so why not one on a wreath?
It was 65 degrees when the girls stopped to see Santa and there was no fire in the fireplace. It didn’t seem right to have a fireplace in a Christmas setting with no fire. To solve the dilemma, Seth photoshopped a fire from last year into the scene to add a little warmth and ambiance.
And now the truth of the visit comes out as Ella Mae attempts to comfort Emma, but without a fire, she is not to be comforted! It is also possible she didn’t care for the big man with the white beard??
A visit to Noccalula Falls Park at Christmas is spectacular and a must see if you can get to the Etowah County, Gadsden, Alabama area. Christmas at the Falls!
Too pretty to cover with food and goodies and less calories if you just enjoy the plate!
Scallops with lentils du Puy, celery root, and butternut squash. A Chez Fonfon delight!
Ornaments here are from various places around the country with one from London. We have a lot of travel ornaments and it’s difficult to find a spot for all of them! Do you collect ornaments from places you visit?
We manage to have snow even if it is the kind that never melts and doesn’t work for snowballs. We’ve only had one snowfall on Christmas in our lifetime that we can recall so we are only dreaming of a white Christmas!
A couple of old chimneys still stand to grace the landscape at the end of another blessed day!

Happy Sunday Pam! Emma looking up at Santa and Ella’s Happy Smile is such a sweet picture! So glad Seth photoshopped a fire in it! Christmas Lights at the Falls looks fabulous and so do all your travel ornaments! Such wonderful memories that bring your family joy!
I turn my travel photos into ornaments. Memories of where we have been collected on my camera to metal or glass ornaments makes my heart sing!
Enjoy your Sunday! I’m off to have coffee and perhaps a chocolate Pomegranate treat! 😉 🎅 🎄
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Nancy. I love your idea of turning your photos into ornaments. Have a most wonderful week 🎅🏻🎄🤶🏻
Bonnie Morgan says
It would be unusual if Emma was not a little apprehensive of Santa Claus.
I love the idea of collecting ornaments from trips. I have not done that.
Pretty pics and nice post.
I’m on the countdown because part of my family arrive Friday. I am not going to be online this week. I have so much to do.
Wishing you a marvelous Christmas in advance.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Enjoy the preparation and the family. Merry Christmas Bonnie❤️🎄❤️

Love all of your joyous, sparkling pictures especially the reflections through the window! Ella Mae is such a sweet Big Sister, and she sure is “all in” with Santa (to quote Dabo!). My mother loved to get out the picture of me crying in Santa’s lap, so about 20 years ago I went to the mall for a do-over with Santa! How is Seth at photoshopping out wrinkles?!?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Roxanne. You don’t need photoshopping, you are beautiful!
Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
Pam, a beautiful post. Full of the beauty of the season. I do love the photo of the girls. In the first one, Emma is really checking out Santa and I think the second photo confirms her thoughts.
Have a beautiful day and week, dear friend. If I had my wand (it has been missing for some time) I would put a slow down on the days. ❤🎄❤
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Sandra. I wish you could find that wand! ❤️
Rita C at Panoply says
Nothing can top the one photo of the grands where Emma is looking at the big guy and Ella directly at camera! I took similar pictures outside, looking in, where our tree was strangely reflective and yes, we collect travel ornaments too.
Have a wonderful week. What a way to start it, with your SSS.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Rita. Wishing you a most wonderful week!
Clara says
Pam, The Santa pictures are so cute. The 1st one is precious! The second one is so sweet with Ella Mae trying to comfort Emma Kennedy. EK’s assessment of Santa after studying him is spot on at her age-you’re not anyone I know & I don’t like being here! I love the reflection picture. The park lit up for the holidays is magical. We have a suburban town close to us that has a fabulous light display in their town square. We enjoyed it Friday evening.
We have a few travel ornaments because I’m always concerned they’ll get broken on the way home. Yours are gorgeous! Have a great Sunday sweet friend! Clara ❤️🎄🎅
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Clara, you are exactly right. She sized up Santa and said she was ready to leave. The town square sounds so pretty. Wishing you a most wonderful week my friend ❤️
Nancy Sharp says
I always enjoy your Sunday posts especially today when I have to stay home from church. Your granddaughters are precious.
I also have way more ornaments since I put up a smaller tree now. I can barely get one tree up so no more days of multiples. I saw an idea by one of my friends the other day. She let her grandchildren pick one to take home with them.
Thanks again for sharing your faith and photos. It’s such a blessing.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Nancy, I hope that you feel better. That is a perfect idea to let grandchildren pick ornaments to take home! Wishing you a wonderful week!

Beautiful post, Pam, on this cold December morning. The girls are precious, and Miss Ella Mae looks so sweet comforting her sister. Happy Sunday, sweet friend!!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you sweet Shannon. Have a most wonderful week!

I love the reflections photo and the photoshopped fire looks great!! Babies are always scared of Santa their first time, so cute that the sisters both sat on his lap together! Collecting travel ornaments makes them extra special! My grandsons decorated our tree this year and they had fun seeing the paper ornaments their Dad made when he was a little boy. They did a great job and had fun hearing our memories 🙂

Jenna, thank you. I know you enjoyed your grandsons decorating the tree and making sweet memories. Have a wonderful week!

Our little Em knows the real Santa already residing in her family.. cannot fool her…EM is the
perfect little mother in training. The reflective photo is such a lovely illusion, as are all the photos.
All our travel ornaments, as well a preponderance of Colonial Williamsburg remain cottoned away with nowhere to go…Big tree was retired last year. I love the idea of having Grandchildren take their choice each visit. What sweet memories are wrapped up in our Christmas storage bins !! You cannot go home again, but you can bring it back just by lifting a lid.. Thank you for the beautiful Sunday meditations dear Pam and Butch.. His never-ending
Presence in our lives pours special blessings upon the Advent season if we but harken.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Mary, you are a sweetheart. We have bins of travel and collected ornaments from 46;years of marriage. Our trees have gotten smaller through the years. Wishing you a most wonderful week! ❤️

Delicious the Christmas scene with Santa. It’s an expression studio where Emma doesn’t feel very comfortable with that unknown gentleman while Ella Mae enjoys a beautiful smile … I love that photo. Ah! Congratulations to Butch for such a good mix of photos … it’s great!
Christmas arrives and in each house prepares us to celebrate it better. This year I will not be home, tomorrow day 16 I go to Granada with my daughter Leticia. There we met: my daughters, my sons-in-law, the parents of my son-in-law in Granada and many children, all my grandchildren and more for the other family.
I hope Christmas is a wonderful time for all of us to enjoy our loved ones.
A big hug of peace and friendship.

Dolores amiga mía, ¡gracias por tus dulces palabras! Te deseo la Navidad más maravillosa con tu familia. ¡Que experimentes el amor, la alegría y la paz que viene de conocer a Jesús! ¡Envío de amor y abrazos! ❤️

I think “the big man with the white beard” looks a little shaken by the whole thing! LOL! He looks as distressed as little Emma! So funny! Have a blessed day, sweet friend. 🙂

Thank you sweet Cheryl! Wishing you a joy-filled week!

Love the Santa pix. Nice job, Seth! I don’t know if the boys will see Santa this year — can’t wait to find out. And those scallops look delish. As always, I love every photo — and yes, when I travel I have to bring back an ornament!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Jeanie. We have so many travel ornaments that they need a tree! Merry week!
