“Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.”
Proverbs 3:3
This particular morning started out very overcast and appeared to give no hint of sun but a short burst of flaming orange did manage to break through! The colors come and go quickly.
We did get some late week sun and the winter sky was so clear and blue after a cold front passed!
Part of our local flock seems to wander through the yard often, especially on cloudy, rainy days. This is part of a group of around 60 birds that graced our back pasture this week!
Emma Kennedy has an expression that indicates she believes she is in charge. And, it is very likely she is correct!
Ella Mae has discovered jewelry and thinks that it all belongs to her. Maybe she should try out for one of those TV networks and model their sale items! The girls came Saturday and we had the best time. Ella Mae thinks that when her Da is at home it is strictly for the express purpose of playing with her!
It is mid-February but the jasmine hasn’t received the message. A lot of plants seem to be ahead of schedule this year. We are hoping that it isn’t a bad thing but we know winter is certainly not over. On occasion, March can bring some of the season’s coldest temps. Not often but it does happen!
A Parmesan Souffle from Bottega is always perfect regardless of the season or weather! A really nice Valentine appetizer.
This old column somehow survived a very hot fire that completely destroyed the historic home near our house. It is the lone survivor. We removed it from the brick pedestal after taking this pic. We hope to restore the column and place it somewhere in our garden or landscape this year!
A typical Alabama double black diamond slope. We expect to get enough snow to make a run about every 20 years-maybe!
Why does it seem that the weeds and undesirable plants thrive and always get a jump on the good guys??
Ella Mae told us yesterday that the sky had stripes. The girl never misses anything. We had never thought of the sky as being striped. But sure enough, it was a day where jet trails seemed to be everywhere all day long!
We hope you have a blessed week! Maybe some of you are off on President’s Day !!!!

Good morning dear friends. Hope you are feeling much better this morning Pam. Just looking at these pictures of the girls brightens my day. Can’t wait for EM to sing “Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend”. And the parmesan soufflé at Bottegas makes my mouth water. If that’s in Franks book that I won, “Southern Table” , it will soon be on my table. That looks like a thistle growing in the field. With our close to two feet of snow on the ground, they haven’t shown their heads yet. May God in all His grace surround you with His love and blessing this Sunday.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Alice, I am going to church this morning so I am feeling better. Thank you so much for your prayers. The Parmesan soufflé is in the Bottega cook book, but I will email it to you later today. Yes, that is a thistle. Have a blessed Sunday sweet friend♥️

I do believe Emma is in charge by her cute expression wearing those cute jeans and Ella Mae is getting more beautiful by the day. The sunrise and sunset pics speak of the majesty of our God. I love the idea of refreshing the post and making it an ornament in the garden. The hay bales remind me of my home place. Blessings and pray that Pam is better.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Dianne. I am feeling better. Happy Sunday my friend.

Oh, EK is in charge! Don’t be fooled by cuteness — she knows what she wants and where she’s going. And I agree, Ella is a real stunner. Now you have another whole line of potential birthday gifts with the jewelry passion!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
The truth is they are both in charge when they are at our house. Happy Sunday Jeanie!

I will forever think of Ella Mae when I see a striped sky! They are both so adorable, and girls do love their jewelry! I’m glad you able to enjoy your Valentine dinner Pam, the souffle looks divine…. I wonder what Mother Nature has in store for us this week 😂

Thank you Jenna. It looks like really cold weather by the end of the week. It has been a mixed bag of winter weather this year. Wishing you a delightful week!
Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
Pam, another lovely post and you know how I do love seeing the girls. Ella Mae is a beauty and it looks as though she has lovely eyelashes to go with her beautiful brown eyes. It seems as though girls don’t often get the eyelashes, they go to the boys. And Emma is so cute and I do believe I see a little red in her hair. Her blue eyes are just so clear and bright.
I love the old column from the house. I will be anxious to see what you do with it.
Wishing you a wonderful day and a great week ahead. So glad you are feeling better.❤
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Sandra. The girls are blessings from God, and they are so much fun. EM loves to dress up and wear my costume jewelry, she does have long eyelashes. You are right, it seems like the boys get the long lashes. Emma’s are also long, but they are so blond. I think she is going to be a strawberry blonde, that will be pretty with her blue eyes. We are trying to decide what to do with the column. Wishing you a delightful week my friend.

Good morning, dear Pam. I am so glad to read from your answers to others that you are feeling better. The photos of the girls are precious. Ella Mae looks so much like Alison, and I do believe that EM looks like Seth. Nature’s changes are chronicled in your photos, and give us glimpses of what is and what is to come. The Parmesan Soufflé looks delicious, and I am sure that it is. Have a wonderful day.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Hello sweet friend. I hope you are enjoying the mountains. I saw some photos on IG. I thought I was feeling better today, but I have no energy. Oh well, surely it will all pass. Have fun with the girls this week and all of the family!
Clara says
Pam, Hope you continue to improve. It seems to take awhile to get your strength back after some of these bouts! Please don’t overdo it. Take it slow.
Can’t believe MMB is tomorrow! Looking forward to it. Emma Kennedy is a little doll in her polka dots and jeans! She’ll soon be running around and keeping up with Ella Mae. Ella Mae is beautiful and her love of jewelry makes her a true southern girl! Earrings match everything! Love the sunrises & sunsets! The weather has been so wet yielding too few beautiful, bright days. It’s a joy to see blue skies! You’re right, it’ll probably snow in March! Can’t wait to see where the surviving column ends up. So much history! It’s great that you’re saving it. Have a wonderful day! Clara♥️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Clara, the girls are true blessings sent from God. They are the reward for growing older. It has been so wet and a very mild winter. Now it looks as if it will turn cold by the end of the week. Thank you always for your sweet comments. Have a delightful week Clara ♥️

Just look at our gorgeous Ella Mae without a stitch of makeup, but looking like a star all earringed up and ready for her closeup……those eyes! Not to be outdone, polka-dotted Emma shows us just how jeans are to be modeled, with just a hint
of tummy…..catch that smile…she knows…. What a joy they are… May the Sabbath bless you all and bring our Pam renewed
energy and well being. Today’s photos are winners, Butch. Those weeds, sometimes attractive, remind us to be vigilant and
not let them prevent the beauty that awaits us in the good guys. Kind of like life….. Blessings….
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I cracked up when I read the hint of tummy. The princesses came to play Saturday afternoon with Da. He and EM played Barbies, it takes a real man to play dolls with his granddaughters. Emma kept me busy chasing her, she is a bundle of sweetness. Wishing you a delightful week Mary.

I was so happy to see a post from you today! I sure hope you are feeling better my friend!
Ella is a girl after my own heart… I too love jewelry and anything that is all GIRL! Emma is posing like she may become a model one day! I love it!
And striped skies are always fabulous. You and I are IG gals… I see hashtags sometimes. LOL!
Beautiful week for you and look forward to seeing that pedestal in your garden sometime soon! Spring is coming.
I’m a little late reading your post as I slept in and made brunch. Happy Sunday to you!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Nancy. Butch actually did the post, he is getting pretty good at it. I also love jewelry and have lots for Ella Mae to play with. Sleeping in and enjoying brunch sounds nice. Wishing you a delightful week my friend!

As always, those precious girls are adorable! Miss Ella Mae reminded me of how much I loved playing with my grandmother’s costume jewelry when I was a little girl. That cute Emma Kate with the pretty blue eyes looks like she is in charge. I hope your feeling better, sweet friend! Happy Sunday!!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Shannon. I let her play with my costume jewelry and she loves it. Wishing you a delightful week !

Every day it dawns but there are never two alike …
Bella Emma K with her jeans … looks like an older girl with her beautiful blue eyes and Ella Mae is a lady with her jewelry …
The truth is that you see them grow very fast.
Today Sunday you show us the serenity of nature, the beauty of the girls and a dessert that wreaks havoc on my eyes …
I wish you well this Sunday with blessings for all

Dolores, las chicas son muy diferentes en apariencia y personalidad. Son bendiciones de Dios que disfrutamos inmensamente. Te deseo una semana maravillosa, amigo. Enviando abrazos, Pam

I just love that you are going to recycle those bricks! Little Ella Mae is just adorable in those earrings, and I imagine if she asked for the jewelry of her choice in your house, she would not be denied! I think Emma Kennedy should be the next Gerber baby! That is who she reminds me of. They are both beyond precious, but I know you don’t need me to tell you that! I never thought of the sky as being “striped,” either, but that is exactly what it looked like to me after it being pointed out by Ella Mae! So wonderful to visit with you dear folks today! Many blessings to all of you!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Cheryl. The girls bring us so much joy, just watching them grow is amazing!

One of my favorite parts of Sunday is seeing what you have to share. Your little ones are changing so fast and are so different in looks and coloring.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Linda. The girls are also different in personality.

A day late commenting, but am so glad Pam is feeling better. Hope you got to celebrate your anniversary with that yummy appetizer! EK is walking?!? Time really passes too fast. EM is a girl after my own heart with her sparkly jewelry and fashionable outfits. This weather is so crazy this winter. We have daffodils and Carolina jessamine blooming, but March sometimes brings snow. Those thistles are the bane of my gardening efforts…impossible to dig up and prickly!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Roxanne. EK is almost walking, I expect any day now. The thistles are a big nuisance. We are leaving for our getaway on Thursday and they are expecting snow in Highlands! I am excited!
Roxanne Bernard says
Pam, I just saw our updated forecast and they are stilling calling for snow. It will be beautiful!! Be careful on those curvy roads!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you and we will.
