“So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.”
Psalms 90:12
Winter sunrise on Weiss Lake. It’s crappie time. Pronounced crop’-ee, or crap’-ee, (along with a few others) depending on your personal preference.
We thought we’d call this… “on the verge!” Our snowball viburnum blooms off and on year round but it’s most “showy” time is coming soon!
So much rain this winter and the moss loves it. It appears reproduction is getting underway and there will soon be a lot of spores. We aren’t moss experts but this might be what is called wall screw moss? It can be found on brick, stone, rooftops and soil is our understanding. Maybe some of you experts can help us out on this one!
And some things like this Bradford pear are no longer on the verge but quite “showy” already!
Emma K was caught in the act of attempting to sneak off with her Da’s Coke Zero! She wrestled it from under a cabinet. You have to wonder what she was thinking of doing with something this big that weighs about a third as much as she does!
The little bunny is one of several we had on display, but this one was made by Nanny (Pam’s Mother). When Ella Mae found out who made it, she insisted on holding only this little rabbit!
From the wood fired oven and likely straight to the waistline!
It’s nice to have several good lookouts to keep watch for predators while most of the flock enjoys a leisurely lunch!
Japanese Magnolias are such early bloomers with many in our area blooming last month. This particular one is still looking great especially against such a clear blue background! We planted one last fall but thanks to our local deer herd it is no longer a part of our landscape!
Another gorgeous closing of the day. A small plane passed through and was in several pics we made of this sunset. We almost used one of those for fun to see if you could find it, but changed our minds as it was truly very hard to see!

Spring has sprung at your house. We are having some warm days, thank goodness, and that big pile of snow in the front yard is slowly disappearing. The princesses are so precious and I think EK wants some of Da’s coke. God is so good.

Amen, He is so good. I am thrilled that you are having some warmer temps. Have a wonderfully blessed Sunday, Alice!

Good morning, Pam. Glorious pictures as always. Goodness, little Emma is looking more like her Daddy every day. And she had plans for that bottle of coke. Ella is looking like such a little lady and she shows her tender heart wanting to hold the bunny, just precious. Spring is so wonderful in all parts of our world, but it is truly glorious in the south. Have a beautiful day and week ahead, dear friend.❤

Beautiful Sunday post with the promise of spring blooming everywhere or on the “verge.” Cannot believe the sweet Emma. Ella Mae shows her sweet heart in many ways. I did miss the ear bobs today. What a delightful family. Enjoying thinking about and applying your word “delight” to my life.

Thank you dear friend. Wishing you a delightful week!

Pam, The Japanese Magnolias are so pretty and your picture is gorgeous! So sad that the one you planted didn’t make it because of the deer. Ours is not that large but it is blooming too. We, too, planted a tree last fall that the deer decided they wanted as a food source. Spring is such a colorful season; it’s a feast for the eyes & a favorite of mine! Emma Kennedy had plans for Da’s Coke! She looks like Seth & her hair is really ginger against your cabinets. Sweet Ella Mae is so cute with the bunny your Mom made. She is so sentimental and that’s a unique quality in today’s world! I really enjoyed the compilation of pics. We have had an entirely sunny weekend for a change & it’s wonderful! Rain comes in tomorrow. Have a wonderful day! Clara ❤️

Amazing to see the spring blooms already! You’re about one month ahead of us, but I sure love seeing it all. Emma K looks like her Daddy and Ella Mae her Mom! They are both so, so adorable. Happy Daylight Savings Time to you both!

Thank you so much Rita. It always takes me a few days to adjust to the time change.

I always know spring is on the way when I see the Japanese magnolia burst with blooms. For years the same one has been my harbinger. Because I like the blooms I had one planted in our yard, but for some reason it didn’t flourish.

The Japanese Magnolia blooms against the cobalt blue sky are stunning! The girls always are wearing the cutest outfits and the treasures they are holding this week are delightful! Stunning Sunday photos for this last sunny day of the week for us…I keep telling myself that Mother Nature is going to reward us with really beautiful flowers this Spring and hopefully no drought this summer because of these ample Spring rains ☔️ Have a lovely Sunday Pam & Butch,

The beautiful sunrise and sunset photos give pause in wonder and gratitude for God’s exquisite gifts. EM and Ella fit into that category, as well. The emergence of your Spring’s blossoming is so uplifting. Our many Bradford Pear trees are in full bloom and the blanket of apricot-hued quince warms the garden. Thank you, Lord, for Spring, at last.

Your snowballs are always so pretty. The one that is always so pretty in our neighborhood is not ready yet either. Love the sunrise over the lake and the sunset.
The girls are precious. That is so funny how Ella wrestled with the 2 liter bottle. She looks like a bundle of energy.
That pizza looks very tasty.
Have a blessed week.

Dear friend, spring wants to come in and despite the fact that the weather is not ripe yet she insists, pushes and in a very short time she will achieve it and will make our day with her best colors and beauty.
Speaking of beauties: Emma and Ella Mae. They are two girls who are more beautiful every day. They are very pretty.
Emma challenging the Coca bottle that is almost as big as her … and she Mae always with that sweet smile … I love them.
Thank you for showing all that makes us happy.
A hug
