“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”
Colossians 4:6
Daylight savings time has no effect on the beauty of a sunrise but we are getting to observe them almost an hour later since last weekend! Does the time change conflict with your biological clock for a few days?
A small peak of early morning sun on an otherwise rainy day gives the rye grass a look of John Deere green!
We named a pic “on the verge” last week and we are thinking that would be a good title for an entire post. The Lady Banks roses always appear in April, but here they are in mid-March trying to make a scene!
We had wondered about the condition of the snowball viburnums because they have not looked very healthy this winter. And then, in a matter of 2 or 3 days, they sprang back to life.
It does appear that something is going on here…
…and something is definitely going on here!
How about a little touch of green since St Patricks Day and the vernal equinox both occur this week!
A double cheeseburger but not your typical ground beef. This one is a combination of chuck, New York strip, and ribeye!
A few years back we thought Bishop’s weed would be a nice addition to the landscape. It did not take long to realize it was invasive and difficult to control and get rid of. After a great deal of effort we finally managed to eliminate it…or so we thought. It is back in a wooded area near the house but we must admit it does produce a pretty bloom!
A simple southern Saturday this time of year sometimes involves servicing a John Deere!
After clearing privet and other brush behind the old house place on our property we discovered a Japanese quince that had been completely hidden. We had no idea it was growing along an old fence row.

Lovely. Especially Ella Mae and her sister. Too many chips (fries) for heart health though!

Thank you Cath. My hubby is extremely disciplined in diet and exercise, At 68, he still runs four miles a day! But occasionally he splurges on a burger and fries ☺️

Spring has definitely sprung! Are you covered in yellow pollen yet? I love the peace and “ordinary-ness” of your photos. Yours is the only blog I have in the last few days that is NOT about COVID-19, and I thank you for that very much. I know it is serious, but I feel like the press has really whipped the world into a frenzy. Stay calm people and pray.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Roxanne. Praying should be what we do first, “casting all our care on Him, because he cares for us.” Have a wonderful Sunday my friend!
Nancy Sharp says
I always enjoy your pictures especially your Sunday posts. Bless those precious grandbabies!
Today is a day of prayer and looking at His beautiful creations.

Lovely post this morning, Pam. And the beauty is healing to our spirit. I rather imagine the birds planted that quince for you, they knew you would enjoy it. Those precious girls are certainly beams of hope. Many blessings to all of you, dear friend.♥

Your posts always provide encouragement and joy. Can’t wait to see your Lady Banks in full bloom..one of my favorites. Your snowball is so beautiful in its current state. The girls…their expressions…so much delight for you and for us. Praying for the whole world. God holds us in the palm of His hand.

I think March Madness has an entirely new meaning now! Yes things are blooming that we normally don’t see for a month, but I am enjoying the warm temps. The girls are adorable, such happy faces! The flowers you have “found” on your property are soooo pretty, Faith, not fear on this National Day of Prayer…

Pam, Your sweet girls bring joy & smiles to my face on another rainy, cool day! That burger looks delicious! The spring plant awakenings are wonderful to see. The quince is such a pretty color. The tractor being serviced is a familiar sight. Bishops weed can be a pain but is so pretty when blooming. It’s truly invasive; we have it everywhere! I pull it out by the handful. Daylight savings time has my body totally confused. My sleep is off kilter, but it will get better soon! I really like DST & wish it was year round. Enjoyed the compilation of wonderful photos. Happy St Patrick’s Day! Clara ☘️💚

Thank you Clara. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you wishing you a blessed Sunday! 💚☘️💚

Beautiful post. It is early for the Lady Banks rose.
That is one big burger! Looks delicious.
I’m impressed Butch can still run and four miles is a lot.
Cute pic of the girls.
Our flowering quince blooms in late January and in February. I’ll have to look up Japanese quince.
The weather is very different this year.
Have a lovely Sunday.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Bonnie. The Japanese quince that we mostly see around here does not look like this. But we researched and there are several different ones, and there was a photo just like the one we shot.

No disruption here…the usual calm, peace and beauty we find on your site on the Sabbath. What can go wrong when delighting in the girls in their Hide & Seek game or that whopping hamburger with all the trimmings waiting to be devoured
or the beautiful scripture to be contemplated? Indeed…. You had me at the quince. May all be at peace, trusting in His plan and care and His ever- abiding love. Gratitude to you and Butch for this lovely Sunday blessing, dear one.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Blessings for you dear Mary!

Hello Pam, spring is wanting to shine before its time and it is succeeding. How beautiful are those spring shoots!
Ella Mae already looks like a real old lady !! and Emma also already taking her little steps … They are very beautiful.
And what about those appetizing fries? … Just by looking at them I have already gained weight … I love them.
The weather is good here but we cannot take advantage of these beautiful days because on account of the coronavirus you cannot go outside except for very urgent things: food, pharmacy, etc. and you cannot walk in a group, you have to go alone. Some very strict measures but it is that in Madrid the cases of contagion began to be many and the hospitals were full.
A horror in a population of more than 6,500,000 people.
Blessings

The food looked amazing and made me hungry! It certainly doesn’t hurt to enjoy a good meal, for goodness sake, and anyone who runs four miles a day deserves a medal!! LOL! Those sweet girls did look like they were up to something! SO precious! Thank you for another wonderful post. Your blog always inspires and blesses me!

Now is the time for us to all sing “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands” Daniel 2:21. The quince may have been ignored but it pushed through and is blooming. It’s a good example to follow when everything goes haywire. The princesses are beautiful and I see EK is walking?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Alice. We can rest assured that God has the whole world in his hands. Stay healthy and blessings for your week♥️

Good Monday Morning to you Pam and Butch! And such beautiful pictures of everyday living! Those girls look like they are having such fun! Precious grand babies!
And my neighbor behind us has Lady Banks and they come over the wall to us. I love watching them bloom at this time of year!
We do not change our clocks so you and I are two hours apart in time now.
Elbow bump to you! Happy week to you!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Nancy. I am on central time and you are two hours behind?? Friend, you are an early bird like me. Happy Monday!
