“and a mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground—”
Genesis 2:6
The morning mist gives a peaceful feeling to the start of another day in the country!
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.””
John 16:33
There seems to be a wide variety of Flowering Cherry trees but all offer stunning beauty!
Our landscapers and yard crew decided to take a short break!
Bluets are delicate and tiny and often overlooked!
Our dogwoods are just showing signs of coming forth but a few miles to the south they are full bloom. An old saying around here is that the best time to fish is when dogwoods are in full bloom. Maybe we will test this out in a few days!
A Japanese Magnolia up close and personal. Our tree did not survive encounters with the local deer herd this past fall and winter!
Thought we would continue with the soothing look of lavender and purple with these tulips while awaiting the eggs to hatch!
Canes are surely invasive but offer a lot of cover for wildlife. We have two canebreaks near the house and for some reason a lot of the older canes in one stand have died over the past year. Maybe they get old and die off? Need to do a bit of research!
A little late afternoon, outdoor “spring cleaning.”

Beautiful post. Your pictures are so refreshing and calming. If there was ever a time to keep our minds on the Lord it is now.Thank you for feeding our souls with scripture. I hope all will heed staying at home.
Please pray for a friend of mine that goes to our church and her daughter’s family. Her daughter lives in Pittsburg and is about to give birth. One of her friends who is in her mommy and me group is in the ICU struggling with the virus. All mothers are being given caesarians or being induced. This is very scary for new mothers and is proof this virus does affect the young. My friend says Pittsburg is very bad and she can not go and be with her daughter now as she has planned to do.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Bonnie. I hope your birthday has been wonderful. We had our church service via FB live this morning, so thankful for technology. Bonnie, I will be praying for your friend’s daughter and her friend in ICU. I know it must be fearful for those who are expecting. It must be so hard for your friend not to be able to be with her daughter. There are so many tough situations to navigate during this difficult time.

Thank you so much Clara. My sweet Daddy is doing well. He is basically home bound now because of his knees, so just my brother and I are going in and out during this pandemic. We take care of his food and other things he can no longer do. I am so thankful that his mind is sharp, his knees are just worn out. Take care my friend♥️

Here’s an idea. Use some of those bamboo canes to make fishing poles for the girls. I have fond memories of fishing with a bamboo pole when I was little!
Stay well, safe, and keep smiling!

My hubby remember fishing with cane poles. Good idea…stay healthy!

Prayers for Bonnie’s Daughter and Family.. May His healing mercies cover all expectant mothers during these uncertain times. I don’t think our gardener, even wearing Em’s bow or Ella Mae’s smile would be as impressive in the landscaping
dept. I can actually smell the aroma of those burning leaves and brush. ahhh. Thank you for the beautiful Spring Sabbath
photos of assurance and peace. Let us all take in a deep breath of the Holy Spirit and exhale the disconcerting media statistics, while placing our trust and reliance upon Him. Thank you for making us feel so at home in your beautiful environ, Pam and Butch. Trusting in Him.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yes, Mary…a deep breath of the Holy Spirit and exhaling the bleakness of the media statistics. He is still on the throne! We trust Him!

Beautiful photos, so calming and peaceful. Your landscapers are growing faster than the weeds in my lawn! Went to church in my pajamas today, first ever online service at our church.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Good evening Roxanne. We are never too old to do something for the first time. I wore sweats for my online church service this morning with no makeup and my hair pulled up in a clip 🤣 I am so thankful for the technology that we can hear our pastor speak to us directly in our homes. Stay healthy my friend!

Dear friend, a fresh spring air comes to me from your post. I love the style of those churches that you sometimes show … they are beautiful.
I am very happy that you have so many beautiful things and you can enjoy them.
Around here we are still detained each in their homes. The virus spreads at high speeds. Every day the number of cases and deaths increases.
All of Europe is invaded by that evil virus. Today they have decreed another 15 days more confined at home. Only 1 person can go in the cars … I have been alone at home since March 10 and now they extend it until April 12 … all Easter. The churches are closed without worship and on Sundays Mass is allowed on TV.
In the years that I have I have never experienced such a thing. It is heartbreaking. I am patient and I try to spend the day with optimism but I feel very lonely and I talk to my daughters on the phone so that they can also cheer up because you can imagine all day with the children at home and so day by day?
Well, let’s trust God to give us patience and look at us with compassion.
With love
Dolores

Mucho amor,
Pam
