“But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them,

Crossvine is a native climbing vine that produces gorgeous trumpet shaped flowers. This vine is wild and near our house but many nurseries and garden centers are now selling cultivars. The common name is derived from the cross-like shape of the pith seen when the the vine is cut and viewed in cross-section!
This white fringe tree has a frilly look for Easter!
This cherry tree survived intense heat from a nearby fire. It offers a reminder every year that we too may go through what seems to be an intense and impossible situation. But because of the true hope which established Easter, beauty can come from ashes!
A little Easter Eve fun in the garden. And sweet EM shared the prize from this egg with her “Da”!
Miss blue eyes picked up a few eggs but was more interested in exploring and picking up mulch!
Our version of an April snow! We actually had an extremely rare snow in early April quite a few years ago but this is much preferred!
Just as the first apricot drift rose of the season indicates new life is found in the garden, the empty tomb on the first Easter assures new life is available through Christ!
A lot of things look harmless and inviting but everything is not always as it appears. Even the broomsedge (we call it broom sage around here) is staying clear. The sawtooth blackberry is appropriately named. Look but don’t touch. It hurts!
Chalk art by our friend Tara and her daughter. Nice way to spend some quality time during these “quarantine days.” The girls are talented!
“but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8
The purple violets bear the color of royalty. In Biblical times purple dye was very expensive and the color has always been associated with kingship. Roman soldiers mocked Jesus and placed a purple cloak on Him (Mark 15:17) before placing a crown of thorns on His head. They had no idea He was the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords!

Beautiful pictures and a wonderful Easter message Pam & Butch! Jesus will get us through these challenging times if we believe. Praying for an end to Covid 19 & all the burdens it has caused. They say here it may be mid June. It seems like a long time but people who go to war are gone for a year or longer on their tour of duty so that lends some perspective. The girls are so sweet and cute. I love EM’s daisy dress! The pink dogwood is gorgeous! Glad you captured the sidewalk chalk art that sends a message of hope out at a time when it’s so needed. God bless you and your family! Happy Easter! Clara ♥️✝️

A visual Easter feast in the photos, especially the little fashion savvy bunnykins… This virus of our Lent has entombed us, separated us as never before, but all our aspirations and Christ-centered beliefs will emerge victorious once our stones have been turned away. That is His promise of Eastertide. In this present unbidden silence, may we hear His voice and heed His message. A most blessed and glorious Easter to you, Butch and Family and all of the blog circle. Lovingly in Him.

Dear Pam, thank you for showing so many beautiful things because our spirits rise on this day of the Lord’s Resurrection.
Every day the girls are more beautiful, and it is not a compliment … Ella Mae is very old and every day she looks prettier. The “blue eyed lady” is a great little person who is becoming more beautiful every day.
I love … The snowball tree, the cherry blossom and I also love that so colorful and beautiful hallway that your friends have made.
Spring has come to you. Around here it is a somewhat rainy spring.
A hug

Is the fringe tree a Chinese fringe? Such was recently recommended to me, and I am unfamiliar with the species. The girls get cuter by the day and I can imagine how much pleasure they give you. Your surroundings are looking beautiful.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
It is native and we found it growing in the woods near our house. It smells wonderful. I am including this link from Southern Living.
