“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.”
Psalm 145:3
“I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.”
Genesis 9:13
A native Oak Leaf Hydrangea found in the woods near our house caught our eye with its touches of pink. Typically the all white blooms are beautiful and elegant but this one was exceptionally pretty!
It appears an entire family of our long eared friends are now living under this magnolia.
If they would stay in the yard and eat weeds and clover it would be a blessing. But rabbits enjoy a wide variety of plants and prefer a garden menu! Maybe it is time to revert back to the old days and build a few rabbit boxes.
A perfect centerpiece for the picnic table!
Growing…
…growing…
…grown! When only a rose will do!
Kids and adults alike have always been fascinated by trains. We don’t get stopped too often by trains so we couldn’t resist the old caboose!
A flat moist area surprised us with several groups of phlox blooms scattered across the open woods in a place we had not remembered seeing it in previous years! Maybe woodland phlox?
Lacecap Hydrangeas and Mophead Hydrangeas are both classified as Hydrangea macrophylla. Both need the same growing environment to thrive. This one gets morning sun but most of the day is spent in shade.
We were about to ride off into the sunset…
…but we didn’t get very far before being stopped in our tracks!
”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”.

Wow, oak leaf hydrangeas grow wild there! I haven’t been able to make hydrangeas thrive here but others have. My “rabbits foot” is on vacation. Todays picture of princess EM is the perfect center piece for your table. Have a specially blessed day and week.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Alice. Oak leaf hydrangeas are native and they grow all over our woods. But they are always white, this one really caught our attention! Wishing you a wonderful week!

I have been thinking about your rainbow all week after seeing it on Instagram. It was so gorgeous! Now, I can pin it! Yay!
The rabbits are cute but their buffet may be a problem for you.
The pink oak leaf hydrangea is so pretty. You have lovely discoveries in your woods and pastures.
Love the progression of the rose bloom, Ella Mae, and the gorgeous sunset. You know I am partial to sunrises and sunsets!
Have a lovely week.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Bonnie. There was no way I could capture the rainbow, it was amazing. Wishing you a wonderful week!

Pam, the opening pink rose is the perfect analogy fora growing Ella Mae in her pink dress! You all have wonderful plants growing in your woods. I seem to only find poison ivy! I’ve just read a report on Giant Hogweed. Everyone needs to learn about this terrible plant. It looks like Queen Anne’s Lace and grows up to 14 feet! All parts of the plant are covered with a toxic sap that can cause third degree burns. People have landed in the burn center from just cutting it down. If found, we are supposed to notify our state natural resource departments. Yikes!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Roxanne. Butch has also researched the giant hogweed, it is a terrible menace. Have a lovely Sunday!

Good Sunday morning! What a beautiful princess centerpiece!
I am in awe of your wild oak leaf hydrangeas and phlox! It must really be something to come across those when walking in nature.
The sweet rose in bloom was almost as special as our princess centerpiece.
And the sunset was such a delight.
Happy Sunday to you dear Pam and Butch!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Nancy. I hope you are settling in your summer home. I can’t wait to see the garden. Enjoy you day my friend!

So much beauty all in one post! I always love the gift of a double rainbow. Rarely do I see them in Houston, but in Maine we are often blessed with them. Happy Sunday!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Linda. Yes, double rainbows are a gift!

Beautiful, Pam. The rose is exquisite, and Ella Mae is so precious. The double rainbow is a symbol of transformation and a sign of good fortune, both needed so much at this time. Have a wonderful and peaceful Sunday, dear friend.

Pam, Your pictures are outstanding! I can’t remember when I last saw a caboose at the end of a train. They were always a treat to see as a child since the guys would always wave to us. Your centerpiece is the cutest! The rainbows and sunsets are breathtaking, especially the last pic. The rose pics are so pretty as are the hydrangeas. The bunnies are cute but quite pesky. We always look forward to seeing your Sunday post. They’re always uplifting. Enjoy your week. Clara ♥️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Clara. I was also surprised to see the caboose! The bunnies are cute, but I am afraid we are beginning to think like Mr. and Mrs. McGregor, they are eating my dahlia leaves. Wishing you a lovely Sunday ♥️

Such a fabulous time! We have a bunny family that has its rabbit hole in the yard next door. So far, they’ve left all my things alone (but then, if you had to pick a garden to eat from, I don’t think any self-respecting rabbit would pick mine! The babies are so tiny — I worry that they’ll be mowed. Your blooms are so pretty — and I love the train!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Jeanie, the bunnies are eating my dahlia leaves among other garden goodies. Wishing you a wonderful week!

Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
Dear Pam, what a glorious post. My goodness, the rainbow and the sunset. No words for either. Now to the bunnies, I do love them but like you they enjoy the garden plants for their food. Especially they love delphiniums, once again they ate them to the ground. And, then went on to Mike’s tomato plant, before he ever got it in the ground. Bad bunnies. Mike chased them around the garden and we haven’t seen them the past few days.
Precious Ella Mae is such a lovely centerpiece, I wonder if she would enjoy wearing a flower crown. It would keep her little fingers busy making one.
Again, a beautiful post. Dear friend, I am wishing you and your family a lovely day and week ahead. ❤
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Sandra. The rabbits are eating my dahlia leaves, I see them every morning sneaking into the garden and run outside yelling at them. They run away but are back the next morning. Gardening woes for all of us! Have a wonderful week my friend ♥️

Just treasure the way you and Butch honor the Sabbath day, Pam dear. Heaven’s rainbow and stunning sunset added to the
praiseful scripture are so spiritually uplifting… Who can resist that Princess Pink centerpiece…so beautiful. The lacecap
hydrangea is a new one for me.. hydrangeas in their complexity and variety are a study unto themselves. May we all partake
of your Sunday tribute in peace and renewal. Bless you both.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
You are so sweet dear one. There are so many varieties of Hydrangeas, I am trying to educate myself. Wishing you a joy-filled week Mary!

Pam dear, I’m late for your Sunday appointment one day. I haven’t posted anything this Thursday either … you may be wondering what happened. Yes, it has happened that in one of my closets that is very large, there has been a water leak and it was filled with mold … Yes, the horror …!
My house is flooded with clothes and shoes … and I haven’t had time to prepare a post for my blog.
I love the things you show because they are the beauty of life itself. The photos are very good, I love them all, but I highlight the photo of the bunnies, of Ella Mae who is beautiful and those beautiful roses.
Let’s see if they fix my closet because they can’t find the reason for the flood, so I’ve been on the subject for a week and what’s left until they find it …
A hug
