Pam’s dad is affectionately known as Pawpaw to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren alike. And the name has even spread to neighbors and friends! When the grands name you that’s just the way it is! Everyone loves this man!
These guys still like their John Deere tractors and might be seen on one in this same hay field today, almost 30 years later. The tractors are bigger and so are the operators!
A winter tradition, a photo moment in camo!
We think Montana’s Bitterroot Valley may be calling us again! Great day in the saddle.
A couple of other “little farmers”, along with daddy, seem to enjoy a nice view from a good vantage point.
The ornamental grasses are doing well this season. We did have one to die last year and had to replace it this Spring!
The zinnias are finally starting their summer show. Based on advice from an experienced gardener, Pam did some pruning yesterday that is supposed to trigger a greater volume of blooms. We shall see!
Daddy’s girls may not understand fully the extreme importance and the true blessing of having a loving dad just yet, but in time they will!
A close look indicates the agapanthus is attractive to a variety of insects.
We are hopeful that the soon to come sunflower blooms will be as healthy and showy as their foliage!
Milkweed patiently awaiting visits by passing Monarchs!
Wishing all of you a Happy Father’s day and a great start to the first week of summer!

What amazing love we can feel in this family. As a matter of fact, I feel like I am a part of it. The farm photos are beyond beautiful. You have captured beautiful relationships and the importance of men of strong faith. The girls and their Dad is so precious. Having grown up on a farm, I can attest to the added value it brings to a life. The older I get the more I long to get back to the farm life. I am getting to do some of that through Everyday Living. Pam, Papa looks wonderful..such a special photo of you two. I want to plant some milkweed so I can contribute to the monarch population. Such a beautiful post. God bless each and everyone and Butch take that trip with your son. Oh, yes, lest I forget…thank you for the “she shed” that we are going to enjoy.

Happy Father’s Day Butch! Happy Father’s Day Pawpaw! And Happy Father’s Day to Seth!
What a beautiful array of family photos along with the gorgeous flowers! I am going to have to love your zinnias with you this summer. We arrived to the LakeHouse too late this year to plant any. And I think it’s true about pruning zinnias… just like chrysanthemums.
Once again I am a bit late… but so glad I didn’t miss a thing.
Happy Week to you and yours!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Nancy. You are never late, life is busy for all of us. Have a delightful week!

Hello Pam, happy fathers day, with a little delay, but as we say here in Spain “All parties have an eighth”.
I love to see your father so well among her grandchildren. By the way, her granddaughters are beautiful, the photo is perfect, I have copied it to my computer because I love it …
It is also very beautiful to see father and son in their youth and child and already adult versions … it is very beautiful.
It is true that the family is the best we have and sometimes we do not realize that treasure that is the family.
Congratulations to the parents and a big hug to everyone.
