Happy Monday dear friends! It is beginning to feel like fall in our Appalachian Foothills. With its official arrival tomorrow, our temperatures are finally cooperating. With highs in the lower 70’s, I am thinking of warm sweaters, flannel shirts, fur-lined boots, and all things pumpkin spice. Look closely and you might even spy a pumpkin or two!
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Psalm 37:4
It is Monday Morning Blooms and I am joining my talented blogging friends to bring you floral inspiration. I have set a cozy autumn table to welcome my favorite season!
“Is not this a true autumn day! Just the still melancholy that I love – that makes life and nature harmonize.
-George Eliot
You will find the links for Lidy, Mary, and Shirley at the bottom of this post.
Is there a better season than autumn to dine alfresco?
A golden throw that looks like a warm sweater, makes a perfect covering for the table!
The garden table has all the fall feels with its warm colors!
The flower arrangement is a mixture of dahlias, sunflowers, zinnias, celosia, and lantana that loosely fill a hammered copper pitcher!
Layering autumn patterns, textures, and colors always make me smile!
Quilted paisley placemats, plaid chargers, Spode “woodland” dinner plates, and leaf-shaped salad plates are paired with copper flatware and amber stemware. A rustic bark napkin ring holds two napkins, a floral one and a striped olive green.
Adagio grasses, an aging fence, and our pasture provide a bucolic background for an autumn table!
“And the sun took a step back, the leaves lulled themselves to sleep and autumn was awakened.”
Raquel Franco
Pumpkins are beginning to show up in and around the garden! I think it is time for a pumpkin spice latte.

Pam, the most perfect Autumn table tucked in that beautiful garden. You have so beautifully curated the stack of dinnerware to usher in the Fall season. In love with those quilted placemats and you always have the perfect compliment of glassware to adorn your tables. I am assuming that the flowers in your wonderful copper pitcher are from your garden. One day, I would to say, “the flowers were plucked from my garden” … I’m working on it and so happy that I have such great inspiration from my MMB friends! I wish you a most beautiful day and a week that we usher in Fall..(according to the calendar) looking forward to that “Magic Hour”
Shirley, thank you and Autumn arrived this morning with gorgeous blue skies and cool temperatures…perfect! Enjoy your week!
Pam, You and Shirley were on the same page using copper as vessels for your arrangements! Your hammered copper pitcher makes the perfect vase and centerpiece for your fall table. I love your cozy throw as a tablecloth and pretty dish layers of plaid, Spode Woodland and embossed leaves. We’ve enjoyed the same beautiful weather since the remnants of Sally moved through, perfect for alfresco dining, although very blustery here! As always it’s a treat to join you for some flower therapy today. Happy almost fall ♥
Thank you Mary. My favorite season made a beautiful appearance this morning with cool temperatures and gorgeous sunshine. It is supposed to rain Thursday and Friday, but still have nice temperatures.
Your garden is magical, your table perfection, Pam. I noticed the throw right away. Love the plates, and celosia just makes you want to touch its feathery plumes. Very nice layering, all!
Rita, I planted celosia from seeds and the stalk looks like a small tree…crazy! Thank you and Happy Fall!
What a lovely fall table. There is nothing better than dining al fresco!
I agree, the weather is perfect for eating outside!
Such pretty colors, love the flowers and those leaf plates. We had a nice cool weekend, autumn is almost here.
Thank you Carole. I am excited to welcome fall!
What a warm welcoming table! I always love your tables paired against the backdrop of your lovely garden. Happy Fall!
Thank you Debbie for your sweet comments. Happy Fall 🍁
What a beautiful table to welcome Fall! I love the layering of chargers, plates, and linens against the yellow. The backdrop of grasses and the fence is lovely. I noticed the much later sunrise today and how the sun has completely shifted from one side of the pond to the other. Summer is truly over.
Roxanne, I am so excited to welcome my favorite season. Enjoy your day my friend 🧡🍁💛
Pam, A perfect al fresco fall tablescape! The cozy throw paired with lovely dishes and a gorgeous bouquet is so inviting. Love the copper pitcher and the flowers are beautiful! We actually dined al fresco this past weekend a couple of times which was so relaxing. Enjoy your week sweet friend! Love the MMB! Clara♥️
Clara, I love alfresco dining and the weather is perfect for it. I made a big pot of chili yesterday…I am excited to welcome my favorite season. As always, I love your visits sweet friend ♥️
Pam, your table is so pretty. I am in love with your hammered copper pitcher. And your arrangement is perfectly fall. I am making lemon orzo soup for dinner and we plan to enjoy it by the fire pit on our patio. It is a glorious day here and I hope you are seeing the same. Have a great week, my friend.❤
Thank you Sandra. Lemon orzo soup sounds wonderful. Enjoy dining alfresco!
Pam, this is perfectly autumn! Everything looks so beautiful, and I adore all the gorgeous layers and textures you have wonderfully incorporated. Your floral arrangement is stunning, and the lovely backdrop of your outdoor area is so pretty! I would love to be a guest at this table and visit with you about gardening and pretty tablesettings. Happy Monday, sweet friend!
Thank you Shannon. I would so love for you to sit at my table, I know we could talk for hours! Wishing you a beautiful week my friend!
Pam, your hammered copper pitcher makes such a charming container for your gorgeous floral arrangement! I love your golden throw used as a tablecloth. And the layers of dishes, inspired! It’s wonderful to see a peek of a few pumpkins in the garden, too. We have begun adding just a few here at FrenchGardenHouse too, as it’s still a little warm yet. It is always a blessing to join you for our first fall Monday Morning Blooms. xo
Thank you Lidy. It is a picture perfect autumn day here, I hope our heat is behind us! xo
Loving the copper! It all looks so very pretty Pam. Of course I am partial to those sweet cabbage leaf dessert plates. They are so darling. I love the throw on the table too. You always do such pretty tables Pam. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thank you Cindy. Our weather has been perfect the last three days, great for outdoor dining!
What an Autumnal visual delight you’ve created…perfect color and pattern combinations. My stacks of ornamental pumpkins got the remark, “How weird ~” as the colors and textures were so unpumpkin-like, but attractive nonetheless. Have to find where I buried the faux flaming colored leaves from last year to complete the setting on the harvest tray… Isn’t Fall a fun time to decorate?
Mary, thank you for your beautiful comments. I like the unusual and even warty pumpkins. Please send photos of the harvest tray! Wishing you a delightful week!
You do fall to the fullest both in terms of flowers and preparing a table. Your creativity never ceases to win my heart.
Thank you for your sweet comments, Linda!
I have so missed your tablescapes. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful fall table. Our weather in North Florida was cooler this weekend. Such a nice introduction to fall! Wishing you a beautiful week. 😊

Good morning, Pam. This is the perfect way to begin my day… a hot cup of coffee and the beauty of your blog. Thanks for the eye candy and have a wonderful week.
Thanks so much Katie! Enjoy your week.
Oh, I just love that amber stemware! It makes me so happy that fall is here again, and how I praise God for allowing me to live and enjoy it once more. It warms my soul. Last night, I hung up some orange string lights around our living room bookcases, and oh, my, it made me so happy! It’s the little things. So thankful to visit with you today and see your lovely creations. I love how you repurpose throws into tablecloths. You have the best ideas!
