Happy Thursday! Can you believe how fast January is passing? It seems that it has been a cold and rainy one in our Appalachian Foothills! I must say I enjoy all four seasons, winter allows me time to enjoy some much needed simple pleasures…reading books and magazines, a cup of cappuccino and a square of good chocolate in the afternoon, and planning additions to the garden.
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”

A couple of days ago I began pulling out Valentine decor in anticipation of February 14th. I love planning a special tablescape for the day. I looked back on previous blog posts for inspiration and I decided to share some of those with you. Hopefully, it will inspire you to make the day special for all those you love!

What’s not to love about a pretty floral arrangement in a silver teapot…
…and a pearl and diamond necklace that was a gift from my “sweet honey” many years ago? Notice all of the Valentine’s cards on the coffee table, do you save them?
I love the color combination of pink and green. Pink tulips and camellia salad plates were a perfect combination! Tulips have a mind of their own and they are a great stand alone flower for an easy centerpiece!
Candlelight is a must for Valentine’s Day or what about anytime. It can elevate the ordinary to extraordinary!
Using the unexpected for a L-O-V-E Valentine’s tablescape…wrapping paper as a table runner! Several readers thought my table had been hand painted.
Roses, carnations and tulips were arranged in a distressed box!
A centerpiece of blush and white hydrangeas placed upon a bed of moss and displayed in a dough bowl shows a softer side of Valentine’s!
This is the same table using a different centerpiece. It was fun to see which one the readers preferred.
Toile pink dinnerware and spray roses…
…provide for a feminine tablesetting!
A romantic February coffee table is full of flowers and sweet memories!
Valentine’s Day would not be complete without sweet confections!
I hope you received some ideas to make Valentine’s Day special. As always, I so appreciate your visits and gracious comments.

Beautiful inspiration and look back Pam! So many pretty tables and flowers to make any Valentine’s Day celebration special ♥
Thank you Mary. It is cold and rainy, so a good day to read!
Beautiful! Sometimes one simple word says enough.
Thank you dear friend!
So many beautiful tables! Thanks for the inspiration. I realize I don’t have much decor for Valentines but I wouldn’t have thought of my old cards – yes I’ve kept them!
Thank you Debbie. Yes, pull out the cards and use them, they are also fun to go back and read.
Good morning Pam! You’re reading my mind! Lol My goal today is to get our Valentine’s decor out and decorate the house. Your post is perfect timing! I’m ready to put winter behind us (although the weather is disagreeing with cold, gray, rainy skies) and get ready for February. Your compilation will provide inspiration to accomplish the goal. I adore the velvet heart with the pearls. Love it! Thanks so much for sharing all of your wonderful ideas. Enjoy your day sweet friend! Clara❤️
Have fun today decorating for Valentine’s. It is cold and rainy today, perfect for perusing some magazines.
I love it all Pam. I am enjoying my Country Winter Tablescape but thinking about my Valentine’s table already. Wonderful inspiration you have given me my friend. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thank you Cindy. I know your Valentine’s table will be gorgeous!
Pam, this is such a beautiful post full of wonderful Valentine inspiration! All of the photographs are gorgeous, and I don’t think I could choose a favorite. I can’t believe how fast this month is going by. Spring will be here before you know it! I’ve already started ordering my flower seeds. Take care, sweet friend, and enjoy your day!
Thank you Shannon for your sweet comments. Enjoy your day my friend!
So happy to see all your ideas! I haven’t quite started to think about Feb yet! Our Christmas is still up after our family celebration this past weekend, finally! But I’m feeling the creative juices starting. have a blessed day!
Thanks so much Linda. I am so glad you were able to have a Christmas celebration.
I thought your table was handpainted too! That’s gorgeous wrapping paper and a wonderful idea for a table runner. Love all the flowers and arrangements — all so pretty. And yes, I do keep all my cards and letters from Rick. They are treasures.
Those cards are definitely treasures and can be used for decor!
It’s fun to look back. Such delightful tables! Wonder what you are planning for this years table? I know it will be equally delightful. Thanks for the inspiring review.
The rain will be here this afternoon! Cloudy now and warmer today.
Thank you Bonnie. It has been a cool rain here today.
They are all so beautiful!
Thanks so much, Penny!
Pam, all the tables are lovely. However, I am partial to the one with the white tablecloth and red goblets.
I am enjoying our sun and blue skies today, as they don’t stay around long this time of year. Wishing you a lovely day and weekend.
Thank you Sandra, I am a little partial to that table also. It is a very gloomy day here, but I have enjoyed my time reading!
Pam as always you have delivered a beautiful post for your readers to enjoy. Your tables are lovely.

You too Pam! ♥
January is flying by, and I’ve been hibernating in this cold weather! My thoughts are turning to Valentine’s Day too, pink is such a happy color, and I’m about tired of my snowmen! I love seeing your beautiful tables again, you have really put me in the Valentine mood!
Jenna 💕
Thank you, Jenna. I haven’t been out very much. But, it was nice enough this morning to take a walk. I agree, pink is a happy color! Have a lovely weekend!
Good morning from frigid (a big change from yesterday!) Lee’s Summit, MO!!!!!! Yes, January has slipped right through my fingers, too! Only one week left to complain about “January in Kansas City”!!!🙂
I love how you’ve saved all your Valentines Day cards! I save mine, too, knowing they’ll be there to reminisce over in the future. I’ll bet that earns you Brownie points, too!
I love all the pink, especially the tulips! 🌷At no other time if the year are the men in our lives willing to accept and almost even embrace the presence of so much pink!!!🤣🤣🤣
Have a happy and loving weekend!!!!!
Hello Alycia and thank you. I also enjoy using pink anytime, anyplace. Wishing you a lovely weekend!
Gorgeous table. The pink is lovely. Who doesn’t love tulips? A lovely break from winter. We are all looking forward to spring and hopefully normal lives.
Yes, we are. Thank you Linda!
What glorious tablescape settings, each beautiful in it’s own right. Who could choose? I dare say that Love is the operative word that give meaning to the theme. Celebrating, reliving and
renewing the love in one’s life that inspired it all. Add to this, lovely flowers that brighten winter’s
gloom and says “hurry” to the Spring to come. Thank you for sharing your creative spirit, Pam.
Thank you Mary. Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite tablescapes to do. Have a lovely weekend!
All your tables are beautiful and inspiring. I am anxious to set a table for Valentines. Thank you for such beauty.
Thanks so much Dianne. I will be looking for your tablescape!
It occurred to me as I looked over your past posts all compiled in this one that you should open a flower shop! Or do the tablescapes for a catering company or something along that line. You are SO incredibly gifted and have such an eye for pulling the most beautiful combinations together into such amazing works of art. Truly, each one is a work of art. Your talents should be shared with the whole world – I mean, I know they are here on the blog, but I just think it would be awesome if you could do arrangments or tablescapes for people and their special occasions. Just a thought!
You are so clever with your table settings. I really like the idea of using wrapping paper as a table runner. 😊
Thank you Karen.
This is a lovely post! So much eye candy for the upcoming Valentine’s holiday. I love all of it! Every.single.detail. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
XO- MaryJo
Thank you MaryJo for your sweet comments.
Oh, this is all so gorgeous, Pam. I just love all of the beautiful colors and details. My sister used to collect pink depression glass, and I always wanted to do a Valentine table with it. I’ve never felt comfortable doing pretty tablescapes, because I’ve never felt I had much skill at it. All of your beautiful ideas are so inspiring and make me want to try harder.
Pam, you are such a sweetheart. You are talented, go for the tablescapes ♥️
P.S. I’ve featured this beautiful post at the TFT party. Thanks for sharing with us. 🙂
Exciting, thank you Pam!
I just love all the soft pinks! Everything is just so pretty! And those cupcakes look delicious!
Thank you Michelle!
