Happy Tuesday dear friends. Spring is perfect for spending time in the garden, especially if it is teatime!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
This post was originally published in the spring of 2018, inadvertently it somehow ended up in the trash file where it has lived for a couple of years. I thought it was time to retrieve and visit Spring Tea In The Garden once again!
“Tea time is a chance to slow down, pull back and appreciate our surroundings.”
~Letitia Baldrige
A silver tray holds a vintage Alfred Meakin “Charlotte” transferware pitcher full of bright pink roses. More roses were placed in the sugar bowl and creamer. A girl can never have too many roses!!
I used a vintage cut-work tablecloth on the small table.
Ginger orange green tea blends spicy ginger with a dash of juicy orange…it is my new favorite.
“Tea is best when enjoyed in pleasant surroundings, whether indoors or out, where the atmosphere is tranquil, the setting harmonious.”
-John Blofeld *
The tea set is Royal Albert “Berkeley” that was a gift from a dear friend many years ago!
I love macarons and they are a perfect small bite!
The backdrop for the table is Apricot Drift Roses that have a wonderfully sweet fragrance that doesn’t overwhelm!
Why are there bubbles over the table? I am so glad you asked. My little granddaughter and her Mommy were out in the garden blowing bubbles, and some happened to drift over the table while I was shooting pictures. I thought it was cute, so I included the photo! Now you know.
A twist of blood orange was a perfect addition to the tea!
Thank you for joining me in my favorite place, my garden, for tea!
Wishing you a joy-filled day!
