Happy Monday sweet friends. Can you believe that summer is officially here and that 2021 is almost half over?
“For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”
Jeremiah 31:25
I am always excited to join my lovely friends; Lidy, Mary, and Shirley for some flower therapy and Monday Morning Blooms!
Our common theme for this edition of Monday Morning Blooms is the outdoors!
You will find the beautiful links for my talented friends at the bottom of this post.
Spring, summer, and fall usually finds me setting tables in the outdoors either in the garden or at the picnic table. We enjoyed some beautiful days last week before tropical storm Claudette brought lots of rain on Saturday.
Once again hydrangeas were my flower choice, after all it is hydrangea season! Let’s enjoy their beauty as long as we can.
For my arrangement, I used Annabelles with their gorgeous white blooms and the smaller green ones are immature blooms. The dark purple hydrangeas are macrophylla and the lavender ones are Let’s Dance “moonlight” variety. Vitex blooms add a little more lavender to the mix!
I love every visit to my friends hydrangea farm! There is always more to see and enjoy. Seeing the stunning Annabelles with their large showy blooms takes my breath away. The blooms can easily reach 8 to 12 inches across.
The vessel holding the flowers is a precious keepsake from my paternal grandmother. My aunt, the keeper of our family history, tells me that she remembers the pitcher was used for milk. I imagine my grandmother pouring milk from this stoneware pitcher for her three children as they enjoyed homemade biscuits, sorghum syrup, bacon, and scrambled eggs. Of course my granddaddy chose his coffee over the milk! I enjoy adding something to a tablesetting that has a story or sweet memory attached. In case you missed my post last week that featured my grandmother’s beautiful quilt, you can see it here.
The April Cornell tablecloth is a new purchase (on sale I might add) with lovely shades of purple, green, and a hint of yellow. The pattern is called Jacobean Garden!
There have been several questions about the kinetic garden spinner that you might spy in this photo. I ordered it from Home Depot. It has been a source of fun for the girls. I even enjoy it from my kitchen window!
In the background are sunshine ligustrums and vanilla-strawberry hydrangeas that will be in full bloom in a couple of weeks!
American Atelier “baroque” chargers and salad plates, green majolica dinner plates, antique Copeland Spode “mayflower” saucers, vintage napkins and favorite stemware complete each place setting. The flatware is my everyday stainless by Reed & Barron.
The sun chose to spotlight the hydrangeas!
As the sun begins to set, it casts an unusual glow in the garden and on the table.
Be sure to visit Shirley, Lidy, and Mary for beautiful outdoor inspiration!

Pam, Your new AC tablecloth is a beauty! I love your choice of flowers to fill your grandmother’s pitcher as a centerpiece for the table. I’ve always admired Annabelle hydrangeas, my MIL had three gorgeous shrubs in your garden and the large white blooms are so ‘showy’ and cool looking at the same time. I’m glad you’re enjoying your kenetic garden spinner, they are mesmerizing to watch when in motion. As always it’s a treat to join you for some flower therapy and at a table in your garden. Happy Monday ♥

Pam, Your new AC tablecloth is stunning! I love the colors and your plate stack and vintage napkins are so creatively curated from your collections. I think you have new chairs!
I would love to go to the Hydrangea farm. I’ve always loved Annabelles. One of my friends had some and they are quite showy. Your arrangement is very creative and the vase has a charming story.
Lovely as always. It is a treat to see what you come up with for each MMB.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Bonnie, you have a great eye for detail. The chairs aren’t new, but they are new to the garden. Actually the chairs might now be considered vintage. Thanks so much for your sweet comments!

Dearest Pam, another gorgeous table setting! The purple is a beautiful backdrop to the hydrangeas. I love hearing the stories of your precious pieces passed down through the generations. They are what make a house a beautiful home; there is nothing you could purchase at the most expensive store that could be as valuable and lovely as family treasures.

Thank you Roxanne. We both treasure our memories!

This really is such a pretty table, Pam. I like the beautiful new tablecloth and the napkins. Perfect with these blooms and your pretty china. It looks like it was a fresh, lovely day when you set this out. If it was hot and steamy, well, anyone would cool down at this lovely table!

The purple and yellow pairing is lovely Pam and does sing Summer! I loved the story behind your grandmother’s yellow pitcher, so sweet and the hydrangea blooms look gorgeous in it. Your table cloth blends in so well, and of course your sunny garden setting and dancing sunlight is beautiful! It certainly has been a rainy June, I’m glad you captured a nice day for your table!

Love the colors of the tablecloth and I’m sure Emma will as well. At our orchard in New Hampshire there was the remains of an old stone foundation and around it were some huge Annabelle hydrangea plants and I loved their showy blossoms. There size varied from year to year, depending on the weather. Your friends flower farm must be absolutely beautiful when in bloom.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Karen. Annabelles are so beautiful. One bloom can fill an entire vase. Enjoy the first week of summer!

Pam, I enjoyed viewing your tablescape and garden. I am on the look out for a purple tablecloth and your AC is perfect. I am so envious of your hydrangeas in the stoneware pitcher and if I close my eyes, I can actually smell the biscuits, bacon, syrup and scrambled eggs your grandmother would have made. What glorious memories for you. I also love garden spinners and have a similar one in my Secret Garden.
I am so appreciative of your friendship and fellowship. God Blesses us in so many ways and sharing beautiful gardens and memories are just another way of showcasing His love for us.

In answer to your first question, no, I can’t believe the year is half over. Time has a way of flying by even when nothing much is happening. As for your table, I like knowing the stories told by what you choose. That makes it more than just a table setting with pretty flowers and accessories.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I agree, Linda. A table with a story is more than just a table setting!

Happy Summer and good morning, sweet Pam! The photographs in this post are absolutely stunning! Your hydrangea arrangement is so beautiful in that precious keepsake. I don’t think I could ever get tired of hydrangeas. They are such a showstopper in any setting. I love your pretty new AC tablecloth. It creates the perfect anchor for your lovely setting. I’m so sorry I’m late in commenting on your post. It has been a whirlwind! The kids and I were required to attend a family retreat in Chicago for my husband’s work. We were supposed to be home late Saturday night. Unfortunately, our plane was delayed, and we missed our connector out of Houston. On top of that we were supposed to drive to Kansas on Sunday because Caroline had college orientation on Monday. Needless to say, we landed in Tulsa Sunday and drove to Kansas that afternoon. Monday was information overload at the college orientation! We are finally back home, and I’m playing catch-up. Your gorgeous post brightened my morning! These photographs belong in a magazine. Wishing you a most beautiful day, my dear friend!

Beautiful table Pam and that AC tablecloth with purples, greens, and yellows is gorgeous!
