“Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways! You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.”
Psalm 128:1-2
Hello October! A beautiful autumn sky greets a new month. With everything green and hay in the field it seems like summer should still be around. But, we often get our first frost in October!
We had 4 straight mornings last week with blankets of heavy fog. Some spots were so thick that driving was very dangerous. Yet all our days were dry. No rain!
I thought this bee had died on the celosia. It didn’t move for about 10 minutes but finally moved a couple of inches to a new spot. I was thinking on moving it to get a closer look at those furry hind legs but that would’ve likely been a bad idea. Safer to do a close study of stinging creatures from pics in a textbook!
Spider lilies are showing up in a lot of places right now. This one is growing out of a tree trunk…not really, just kidding. But it did sorta look that way from a distance. Do these lilies pop up in the landscape where you live? I don’t know what their range is?
Queen EM and Princess EK were having a serious moment. I assure you it did not last long!
Wyatt on the other hand is not so serious, probably glad to catch a breather from some of the big sister attention which gets intense at times.
To me, nothing says autumn quite like goldenrod. I love it any time and we might see it in limited spots from July to December. But the peak in late September and early October is just an awesome sight and my absolute favorite.
PJ has not decided what she thinks about my new above ground garden addition for next year. I sprayed livestock watering troughs to match the yard. I thought this was a great idea, but not sure everyone sees it that way! I guess drilling drain holes in new troughs that are designed to hold water might be a bit…strange maybe?
Spotted a little coral fungi on one of my walks. Also called antler fungi.
We like to find old barns to photograph when we are out and about, but this week PJ made a pic of our own from a different angle. Seth has cleaned up a lot so the back of the barn now has better visibility.
One of our nearby airports, this runway has been here many years. I am serious. It is even labeled on a google map. The best part is there are no long TSA lines, checkpoints or screening. An advantage of country living!
Sorry, we have probably used this one several times but it is too good to pass up. Our throwback today is one of the most photographed places around I’d say…Oxbow Bend on the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park, 2018. Mt. Moran stands majestic in the background. One of the prettiest areas on the planet. We hope to return soon!
Again, I slipped inside the garden to get an autumn pic of something Pam had going on. I have to be careful not to infringe on her space and steal a scene that is supposed to be for another post! Used by permission

Happy Sunday to you all! I, for one, love the troughs as raised garden beds. They look terrific and should be easy to maintain. Lots of lovely eye candy here — a perfect way to begin a Sunday morning!

Thank you Jeanie! Have a beautiful Sunday!

Pam and Butch, The autumnal sky pic is gorgeous! Grand Teton is always a favorite. The children are so cute. I like the troughs, have considered them as well. The surprise lillies are in our area too. Congrats to the devotional book winner. Enjoy your day. Clara❤️

Wyatt looks like his daddy. I’m sure the girls think he is a doll they can play with. So precious. Butch, I’m Interested to know what you are going to put in the livestock watering trough. Fog is a dangerous thing. I’ve been caught in it several times at night and day. It wasn’t fun getting through it. Praise the Lord for His guidance. Have a joy filled week.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I also think Wyatt looks like his daddy. Alice, I am not sure what will go in the troughs, I am going to let Butch decide. Enjoy you week dear one!

Good morning Pam and Butch. Of course my favorite photos are of the girls and Mr. Handsome. Are his eyes blue? In the photo they look a little deeper blue than Emma’s.
Love the photo of the airport. We lived in the rural section of Va. Beach. Most folks probably are not aware Va. Beach is a large agricultural area. Anyway, there is an airport there which looks very much like the one in your photo. It is still used today for crop dusting planes.
Your container garden will be grand – the little ones will enjoy it. I can picture it full of blooms.
Wishing you and your lovely family a beautiful day and week ahead.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Sandra. Yes, Wyatt has blue eyes more the color of his daddy’s Emma’s eyes are a lighter shade. I wasn’t aware that Va Beach is a large agricultural area.
Happy week to you and Michael!

As ever, Scripture and photos to lift the spirit… The little ones are heart stealers and contemplated hope. One day the Princess EM will divulge her Clairol formula secret.. just love that little carrot top. Oxbow bend is a jewel in its setting.
I think those troughs will lend themselves beautifully to blooms once Pam”s creative juices get flowing. Great job, Butch.
That three wheeler is transportation right up my alley and makes a great pumpkin puller.. Love the garden blanketed in fog. We had torrential rains last evening. The show stopper is the first photo of the sunset; Heaven’s palette…Blessed Sabbath to all.

We already have so many leaves falling. Hoping to get some much needed rain this week.
The feed troughs are a great idea and I like them painted.
Love your throw back picture.
Happy Autumn.

Thank you Bonnie. It is almost impossible to get a photo of all three of them. It has poured rain here all day. Hopefully you will get the much needed rain.

I believe Dawn@Creative Cain Cabin planted sun flowers in an old water tank which she put next to the side or the back of one of her buildings.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Donna. We always plant sunflowers, so maybe we will plant some in the troughs. Have a lovely week!
