Happy Thursday sweet friends. I hope you are enjoying a beautiful week. Yesterday, my RM and I took a day trip that I will share with you next week. It was one of those perfect autumn days that I hope not to ever take for granted.
“My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
Psalm 121:2
As promised, I am finally sharing a few pics of the Sunshine Cottage porch. It assumed this fall look a number of weeks back. So long ago that I lost several pumpkins that had to be discarded…messy when they go bad! The cottage porch does get a lot of wonderful afternoon sunshine, but that can be hard on pumpkins that have been around since early to mid-September! Let’s have a look.
“October, the extravagant sister, has ordered an immense amount of the most gorgeous forest tapestry for her grand reception.”
~Oliver Wendell Holmes
Pumpkins and mums are my go-to fall decor and the Sunshine Cottage porch has plenty of both.
A small wheel barrow is put to good use!
It is hard to keep the straw neat, we don’t even try!
A pair of decorative harvest scarecrows have been out of circulation for several years, but I pulled them out so the girls could enjoy. Since they have seen better days, I think they may be put to rest after this season!
There are a total of seventeen pumpkins on this small porch! Pumpkins and autumn go together like…spiders and webs!
The cotton boll wreaths made another appearance on the antique doors!
I found the cute Halloween pillow at TJ Maxx!
You may have noticed I love stacking pumpkins!
Someone decided to park the Schwinn three-wheel bicycle in front of the cottage. It is also called an adult tricycle, which somehow gives me thoughts related to age that are bothersome. I will let your imagination take you there, but I am choosing to stick with “three-wheel bike”.
Thank you so much for your visit. I love reading your comments and always reply back here. Wishing you a delightful day!

Adorable Pam! Love your cottage decked out for fall in pumpkins and mums. Your new Halloween pillow is so cute as well as your harvest scarecrow pair! I be the girls love them. Happy Thursday ♥
Thank you Mary. The girls are easy to please 🧡
You have so many fun, colorful types of pumpkins!
I may have a pumpkin addiction!
Looks lovely, Pam. I do love pumpkins and fall!
Thank you Carole!
Pam, that looks like happiness and sunshine! The Queen and Princess must be thrilled!! You and Butch were on my mind this week because my BFF and I drove up to Highlands for lunch and a little obligatory shopping. It was the most perfect mountain day with cool temps and blue, blue skies. I wish you could have been with us!
Roxanne, how much fun we would have! I had so hoped we could visit Highlands, getting reservations are not easy with our schedule. Where did you have lunch?
At The Old Edwards Inn, outside on the patio. It is the most beautifully landscaped place with a “brook” running through it! We had the pimento cheese served with these delicious, thin buttermilk crackers for an appetizer, and I had squash bisque and a divine burger.
We love Old Edwards and I love the pimiento cheese with the wonderful crackers. I might be a little jealous. We were last there for our anniversary in February 2020.
Just perfect in every way. Please don’t put those adorable scarecrows to rest! That would be horrible. We all have a little wear and tear from age. Have a blessed day and weekend. Loving our cooler weather.
Thank you Bobbie. Yes, I feel the wear and tear. I love the cooler weather!
Don not get rid of the pretty scarecrows. they look great. i agree with Bobbie T.
Thank you, Betty. The harvest couple is staying!
You know I just adore your exquisite cottage!
Thank you dear one!
The cottage porch looks SO cute! I especially love the wheelbarrow! You’d better plan on replacing those Raggedy Ann-style scarecrows, if your grands are anything like mine. Mine are practically grown now, but they want to celebrate at “Grammy’s” house and they expect to see the same familiar things. I guess it’s sentimentality. I just put out a pumpkin yesterday. They only just arrived in our area.
Thank you, Rebecca. You have made many lasting memories with your grands!
Love your decorations but I really love the adult tricycle! I need to find one!
Thank you. A friend’s grandmother gave it to us!
Pam, The Sunshine Cottage fall porch is so pretty. Love the various pumpkins. The wheel barrow looks so cute filled with straw, mums and pumpkins. The Halloween pillow is adorable. The cotton boll wreaths look so nice hung on the antique doors. I love the color of the doors. Have a wonderful day sweet friend. Clara ❤️
Thank you Clara. Your comments are always so appreciated ♥️
Your cottage is very festive all decorated for fall. I love the scarecrows. You can not tell in the pictures they are looking worse for the wear and real scarecrows are very rustic. Your pumpkin stacks are fun but my back and wrists hurt thinking of picking them up.
Your enthusiasm is contagious and now I want a few pumpkins, I had the opportunity to buy some in Huntsville but it is hard to haul so much and Mike just had an epidural on his back. We have reached the “age” lifting things are not a smart option.
Loved the eye candy today.
Thank you Bonnie. The pumpkins are heavy, so far I haven’t had any trouble moving them.
Pumpkin Love Pam! You have created your very own pumpkin patch right on your Sunshine Cottage porch! I love the double cotton bole wreaths hanging on the doors and I can picture the girls giggling with the scarecrows. Fall at it’s finest!
Jenna
Thank you, Jenna. The girls are at the age they love everything. It is fun to watch them enjoy!
Colorful, cheery, and welcoming! 🍂🍁🧡 Just started following your blog.
Loved the Halloween pillow.
Jo
Welcome Jo! Thank you so much for following. 🍂🧡🍁
Thank you for bringing these God blessings every time. It is so cheering after all the bad news and strange times. And thank you for the bible verses, too. God’s Word is very important.
Thank you so much for your sweet comments. They warmed my heart!
Precious Pam, you set a cottage porch the way you set a table… to perfection. If you placed the “scarecrows” up for adoption rather than disposing of them, I know a long line of dibbers would form. I just marvel at the variety of pumpkins you have selected…Isn’t God’s Nature one of His greatest gifts? I wager that during October pumpkins flourish even in Heaven for the “resident souls” there. I’m having a cup of spiced cider to celebrate….delicious.
Mary, thank you for your sweet comments. I wish I could join you for the spiced cider!
Your posts are always a visual treat!
Thank you Cindie!
This is one of my most favorite fall porches Pam!!….I bet your precious ones love to hang out on the porch!…Love the wheelbarrow and the bike all dressed up to celebrate the fall season….Every detail is truly beautiful … love the wreaths…so perfect as the peak and harvest of cotton is one of the many things I look forward to in the fall….Do you plant the pumpkin seeds?…I bet you would have a fabulous patch!!
Thanks for the smiles Pam!
Thank you, Shirley. I am having fun in my adult playhouse! Happy Friday!
Pam your Sunshine Cottage does not disappoint as it shows off it’s Autumn decor. I love it and I am sure the “littles’ love it too, especially the scarecrows, the bike, the wheelbarrow and all the pumpkins! I don’t know about you but I am running out of storage space for my “treasures”…LOL, but I just can’t resist a new piece.
Blessings my dear friend.
Thank you, Kari. It is a challenge to find places to store new treasures, but I have been limiting myself on purchases!
I love the Ann and Andy rag dolls. They are rag dolls after all and looks just like they should. I hope you’ll keep them . Perfection isn’t the key, love that loves some wear and tear is best of all. Your Sunshine porch is so precious. I want to hug every pumpkin I see and it would take me a while to get around to hugging all of yours.
Thank you, Alice. Several have said don’t discard the harvest pair, so I guess they will stay. Wish you could hug every pumpkin!
This is lovely and so warm and inviting. Obviously you all do not have wind. :o)) We have so much wind where we live that I have to attach my pillows to our iron benches with wire and then I have decorative concrete artichokes sitting on the two top corners of our welcome rug..Thankfully it doesn’t blow all the time but when it does, it is strong. Always enjoy stopping by!
Thank you Lea. We do have wind and things will occasionally blow around. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Your Sunshine Cottage is absolutely amazing! I felt welcomed as soon as I stepped up onto the porch! The Ann and Andy dolls are adorable! And EK and EM love them too I am sure!
Thanks for inviting us! Hugs to All!
Thank you, Nancy. Have a wonderful Friday!
Such a welcoming sight. Pumpkins and mums are such a lovely autumn look. Love the scarecrow couple and the wheel barrow. All kinds of pumpkins to greet your sweet little grands. Happy weekend.
Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
This looks so magical and inviting, Pam! And so darned happy! I hope you are growing all those pumpkins (I just bought a few and prices soared this year!) All the cute touches really make your Sunshine Cottage a place to celebrate the season!
It is a wonderful place to play and relax!
Pam, your cottage is so festive and all the many pumpkins seem so happy. The cottage is certainly inviting one to go inside with a something lovely to drink and curl up with a great magazine or book. Then, perhaps, a nap!
It is truly another outlet for your marvelous creativity. Have a beautiful weekend, sweet friend.
Thank you Sandra! It is a wonderful place to relax!
Adorable Fall decoration! Beautiful flowers!
Thank you sweet friend!
Sunshine Cottage’s porch looks absolutely beautiful adorned in its autumn splendor! You can never have too many pumpkins. Those sweet scarecrows are absolutely precious! I can’t wait to read about your trip! Enjoy your weekend, sweet friend!
Thanks so much Shannon. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
The blue of the sunshine cottage blends so beautifully with those pumpkins! I just love your porch and how you have everything situated! I think an adult tricycle would have to be the only kind of bike I would dare to ride anymore! LOL! Well, other than our stationary bike – that is about the only speed of bike-riding I will do these days! Thank you for brightening all of our days here at your beautiful blog, sweet friend.
Thank you Cheryl for your sweet encouragement! Happy Sunday ~
I’m with the others when it comes to the decorative harvest scarecrows. They are so cute in their matching plaid, a little wear just makes them all the more appropriate in your little pumpkin patch.
Thank you Karen. The harvest scarecrows will be allowed to stay 😊
Pam, this is just the best! I’m envious of your cottage and the fun it must be to decorate. I’m a pumpkin stacker too! Your scarecrow children are adorable, but it’s that pillow that immediately caught my eye. I would love to find one. Is there any name that would identify who makes it?
Thanks for sharing this fun post. Happy Halloween!
Thanks so much, Sarah. I emailed you!
Pam, thanks for sharing the Sunshine Cottage all decked out for fall. I love everything about it! You can never have too many pumpkins or mums. And the pillow is such an added treat too! As for your scarecrows, don’t put them to rest – your grandkids will love them next year too, and scarecrows are okay if they have “wear” – by definition they sort of have too!
Thank you Darlene. The scarecrows match me, a little wear 😊
