Hello sweet friends. I hope all of you enjoyed a wonderful New Year’s weekend. Can you believe we are in the third day of 2022?
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
With cold air across my Appalachian Foothills and with much of the country experiencing wintry weather, couldn’t we all use some flower therapy?

My Monday Morning Blooms’ friends and I are each sharing our year in flowers!
You can find the beautiful links for Shirley, Lidy, and Mary at the bottom of this post!
January is one of the hardest months to locate fresh flowers. I find myself having to put on my thinking cap to improvise when flowers are in short supply. In the dead of winter, I can always use A Cheerful Table & Flowers!
Valentine’s In The Sunshine Cottage was a sweet treat tucked into the middle of winter!
By the middle of February I was back in the Sunshine Cottage for Winter Flower Therapy. It is a blessing that the cottage is useable in all seasons. Granted, extreme temperatures are cause for higher electric bills.
March had me dreaming of spring bulbs. Setting up A Mini Garden In The Sunshine Cottage was a fun and easy little project!
Easter In The Country found me outdoors at the picnic table, a delightful spot to enjoy a meal!
This photo of Cherry Blossoms & Snowball Blooms was my most popular post on Instagram for 2021. It turned out to be one of my favorites of the year. It is so rewarding to cut blooms from your own garden and landscape!
In case you wonder, I did not grow The Dancing Poppies! I am so thankful for two flower farms close by that provide many fabulous flowers that are unavailable at grocery stores.
I look forward once again to A Bouquet Of Peonies In The Garden!
A patriotic table is a favorite to style. Red White & Blue For Memorial Day welcomes the unofficial beginning of summer!
If you have been a long-time reader, you know about my precious friend that has the hydrangea farm with more varieties than I can name and thousands of plants! Celebrating Hydrangeas is easy because of my love for their beautiful blooms!
“The earth laughs in flowers.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
You all know how much I love setting a table in the great outdoors! Hydrangeas, of course, were the perfect flower for A Summer Garden Table!
Lemons & Snowflake Hydrangeas is a personal favorite! I don’t think I have mentioned that we planted three snowflakes in early fall. Hoping deer will not find them appetizing.
Bee-cauzzz Of Flowers our garden is always buzzing with bees. Bees, our theme for a July Monday Morning Blooms, are very important pollinators!
Delightful White Hydrangeas are most prevalent in my garden…limelights, little lambs, and vanilla-strawberry!
We have been planting sunflowers for several years. In my opinion, they are Summer’s Happiest Flower!
Teatime In The Cottage is so much fun. Wish you could join me!
Blue is my favorite color, but seasonally, Fall Is My Favorite Color with its rich and warm color palette!
Pumpkins, Petals, & Pleasures was my second most liked Instagram post! It also falls in my favorites list.
What I love about this arrangement of Autumn Wildflowers And Copper is my RM foraged the 250 acre woods to bring back an ATV loaded with plants that grow wild!
It is always a pleasure to share Our Thanksgiving Table. The faces of our family sitting around the table is the best part! It is a special holiday to give thanks to our Heavenly Father, but every day should be a day of thanksgiving!
I rounded up festive tablescapes using beautiful arrangements from Lynch Creek Farm as Christmas Centerpieces!

Happy New Year Pam! Where do I begin?!!…Your beautiful flower arrangements in the fabulous garden, your home, and in the Sunshine Cottage always wow me! …. I am in awe that you (like Mary) can gather the most beautiful blooms from your vast garden! Your collection of tablecloths from your travels and local finds are truly amazing….I love reading about the history of your collections of china from your family and friends too! I so look forward to a very special year of Monday Morning Blooms with you and our Bloom friends!

Pam, Your year in flowers is a welcome and beautiful sight on this rainy and blustery morning! It’s always a treat to have a virtual seat at your table in your garden or at your dining room table. I love seeing your Sunshine Cottage blooming too! It’s always a treat to share blooms and flower therapy with you on these Mondays. Wishing you a Happy New Year full of beautiful blooms. P.S. I see it’s blustery in your neck of the woods too, with potential for black ice, stay safe. ♥

Thanks so much, Mary. It is a gray and cool Wednesday. Soup is simmering on the stove.

Happy New Year! Pam, your year of flowers would make a beautiful calendar! It will be hard to top last year’s beauty, but you are one of the most creative people I know. My “flower resolution” this year will be to shop my yard and woods more often. I’m discovering even some simple cedar or pine goes a long way to dress up simple grocery store flowers. Hope your week is grand!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Roxanne, my dear hubby has taught me to forage the woods. It is amazing what you can find to brighten a day!

Oh wow, Pam … these pictures are like cold water to a thirsty soul this morning up here in the gray, dismal northeast. Kinda housebound due to covid, sitting by the fire, I’m renewed by His creation in your home.
Thank you!

I hope you are feeling better my friend 🙏🏻

I so enjoy seeing this recap, knowing what seasonal flowers to expect and when. The poppies literally made my heart skip a beat, and that tells me I must plant poppies once again in my new landscape. Spring and fall always awaken my spirit, and I suspect that rings true with many of your followers for the ones they loved. I so enjoy these bloom posts, Pam. And it’s nice each time I see Southern Lady feature one of your photos. I just got caught up on all my magazines and noticed in the most recent issue one of yours again. 🙂
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Rita for all of your sweet comments. Thank you for noticing my little snippet in SL magazine!

Oh what work you do for our enjoyment. You and Butch bring me much enjoyment with the garden, Table settings, walks through the woods and the grandchildren. I would be so sad if I couldn’t find Everyday Living in my inbox. And I failed to mention the scripture you share with us that’s so inspiring. Beauty in all things.

Your year in flowers was pretty spectacular. Of all the arrangements, though, the ones that capture me most are the sunflowers and zinnias on that table outdoors. Biggest sigh! It just felt warm and welcoming and friendly. Like its designer!

You are so sweet, Jeanie. Thank you!

Pam, I always look forward to your flower creations. The photographs in this post belong in a book. Oh, what a gorgeous coffee table book that would make! I have so enjoyed revisiting each one of these stunning creations. This has definitely brightened a cold winters day. We went from almost 80 degree temps to below freezing. Our weather has been crazy. After Christmas, I start dreaming of spring. I’m just not much of a winter person. I like it for the Christmas season, but that is it-lol. May you have a most wonderful day, my sweet friend!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Shannon. That is a lovely idea that I should at least do for myself. Stay warm, sweet friend!
Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
Pam, all your arrangements are glorious. However, my favorite, of course, is of the peonies and lovely teacups and tea pot. The beauty of that photo does not get any better.
Have a lovely week, dear one.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Sandra. I know how much you love peonies!
