Happy Monday sweet friends. I am excited that Spring has finally arrived! We welcomed the new season yesterday with sunny skies and a perfect seventy degrees.
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Psalm 16:11
It is Monday Morning Blooms with my blogging friends, Lidy, Mary, and Shirley. Our common theme, in case you haven’t guessed, is Spring!
“There is an unexplainable stirring that occurs when winter finally exhibits the humility to completely bow out and relinquish all rights to spring!”
~Butch Richardson

Spring arrives with all of its glorious colors!
I had appointments in Birmingham last week, so that meant a fun stop at Trader Joe’s for flowers. Tulips, hydrangeas, Oriental lilies, eucalyptus, and a few daffodils from my garden were arranged in a very old pitcher handed down from my paternal grandmother. I placed chicken wire inside the pitcher which supports the stems and makes arranging easier.
The weather was so gorgeous, I knew I had to set the picnic table to Welcome Spring! Moss rabbits hopped up to see what they might find to nibble on. We have had an over abundance of rabbits for the past few years. One was spotted recently digging around our sunshine ligustrums in the front yard. I expect many more sightings in the very near future!
For more floral therapy, I used an April Cornell country rose tablecloth. Yellow napkins were placed between soft pink dinner plates and Williams Sonoma salad plates for additional springtime color!
There are four different designs that speak of spring, but unfortunately the plates have been discontinued!
The bunnies were being polite and using their best manners, unlike the ones that hang out in my garden during spring and summer!
“The window is open and a warm, delicious little breeze comes wandering in. It smells of magnolias and dogwood and it whispers in our ears enticing little stories of gurgling brooks and cool woods, Yes, we have got spring fever and got it bad.”
~Country Life 1922
Rye grass makes a beautiful background with its bright green color!
A sweet reader recently said that she loved our forest. It will thicken now that spring has arrived!
Just a click away, Shirley, Lidy, and Mary are sharing their inspiring and creative Spring flowers!

Good Morning Pam! I love your pretty pitcher filled with your bouquet of blooms! They look so pretty in your grandmother’s sunny yellow pitcher and how wonderful you were able to set a table outdoors. You used some of my favorite plates that are set off beautifully with one of your many beautiful AC tablecloths. Love those sweet moss bunnies too! I was out this weekend putting up bunny guards around the clematis and perennials that are popping up to hopefully protect them from Peter Rabbit and friends. 😉 As always it’s a treat to join you for some flower therapy on these Mondays. Happy Spring ♥

Thank you, Mary. Wishing you a beautiful first week of spring ♥️

I love the flower combo, so pretty in the yellow pitcher and I know you were delighted to be tablescaping outside. The moss bunnies look so cute and the tablecloth and plates are sooo pretty. Yes, we definitely had the perfect first day of Spring in Alabama!

Thank you, Jenna. It looks like we still have a couple of colder nights this week. We had frost yesterday morning. I will be wishing for cooler temps this summer.

Oh, Pam! Spring is here! Hope is blooming and I couldn’t wait to see your settings. My favorite are the yellow pitcher and bunnies! But please tell Butch that his quote about Spring is beautiful, too. I do hope to spend time one day emailing you both. I’m preparing for presentations for parents next week on the importance of early childhood literacy. Also, I’m going to take my parents and my niece to a Branson show! We had a beautiful day here yesterday in SW MO, a high of 75 and I put together, with my 82 year old neighbor, my new beautiful YELLOW tool cart! Sending you love and hugs. 💛💛🌈🌻🌻
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Karla, you are so very sweet. How nice to take your parents and
niece to Branson. We have never been, and really should go one day. Your weather is sounding like spring. Many blessings, safe travels, hugs, and love 🙏🏻🌺🌸♥️
K.L. Hale says
Thank you, Pam! You and Butch, I believe, would love Branson. It’s really a family-centered and “safe” place to enjoy so much. Unfortunately, due to a quick weather change and expected severe storms this afternoon my parents and niece had to cancel but I moved their tickets to May! My friend Rita (my best friend is 70 and she claims me as her best friend too and reminds me she could be my Mom 😍) and I are going to go to the show since we live close! Much love and blessings back to you! 💛🤗💚🌻🌻🎶
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Enjoy and stay safe, Karla 🎶🥰💚

Green green green. My favorite color after a long Winter. The rye grass is so pretty in the background of the April Cornell tablecloth with the yellow pitcher that holds precious memories along with Spring flowers. Hoping you can avoid these Spring storms that do so much damage but bring much needed rainfall.

Awe, I do love your Spring colors and they surely make me smile. I am ready for some Spring weather as Florida has been so fickle. U looked for some Moss bunnies recently but I guess I need to make a trip to Hobby Lobby to see if they have some. I pray your Spring is beautiful to you and Butch. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

How moving and profound is Butch’s ode to the arrival of Spring.. and oh the bouquet of floral arrangements
created by the Monday Morning Team….. Spring dare not sneak away and let Winter back in …. Spring is
here to stay and what a blessing after these past months. My daffs around the mailbox are in full blown,
waving to the passersby….what a cheerful sight. Now to find the ambition to accomplish the ritual cleaning
of the Season….I can no longer get away with the Virginia Woolf once over….
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Mary, thank you. I know your daffs are beautiful and are appreciated by your mail carrier and all those who drive by. Wishing you a lovely week!

What a beautiful spring table! I can almost feel a gentle spring breeze when I look at that green grass, the beautiful plates, and the adorable bunnies. Our rabbits have pretty much disappeared, maybe they moved to Alabama!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Roxanne, I believe your SC rabbits moved here. They are multiplying so fast and have become extremely pesky! There was a nice breeze blowing when I set the table!
