Hello sweet readers. I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Easter. Ours was busy, but fun! The girls hunted Easter eggs at our house on Friday afternoon with little Wyatt doing his usual smiling and crawling. He didn’t quite understand the egg hiding and finding, just yet. Saturday afternoon we had a family birthday party for our great-nephew who is celebrating his fifth birthday this coming week. My precious Daddy was able to go and enjoy the party with his eight great-grandchildren. It gave us an opportunity to take family photos since my niece and family are home from Asia. Last night was dinner at our house with our son, daughter-in-love, the grands, and my Daddy. The menu was simple as I needed to catch my breath at the end of a joyous three days! My weekend only tired me a little, but 3 special days in the first century changed the world forever!

Song of Solomon 2:12
It is Monday Morning Blooms with my friends Lidy, Mary, and Shirley. I am excited to share two springtime florals with you!
Sharing blooms from my garden is a simple pleasure!
The links for my friends beautiful florals are at the bottom of this post.
I was concerned that the Kwanzan cherry tree would not bloom because of several late season frosts. Twelve days ago there were tiny buds and by the middle of last week they began opening into these gorgeous blooms!
Thankfully the snowball viburnums weren’t impacted by the late frost. Their blooms have been stunning!
With cherry blossoms and snowball blooms at their peak, they were my obvious choice for an arrangement!
Our common theme was the use of a pitcher as our flower container (vase). Trying to decide what pitcher to use, the almost forgotten Seymour Mann “China Blue” porcelain was discovered in the guest bedroom. I placed chicken wire inside the pitcher to hold the blooms in place. The cherry branches are a bit crooked and heavy, the chicken wire supported them. I added a few purple alliums from the garden.
The picnic table set next to our “woodlands” is my favorite place for springtime tablescapes! The small red and pink Alfred Meakin “Charlotte” pitcher was filled with only cherry blossoms!
Spode “Blue Room Collection” (Tradition Series) dinner plates were placed upon faux cedar chargers. Johnson Brothers vintage “rose chintz” salad plates and Johnson Brothers “willow” bread and butter complete the plate stack. I decided to look through my collection of trinket boxes to add a bit of jewelry to the table. A squirrel jumped up to the table and a blue bird flew in and landed on top of a willow plate. Kate Spade napkins, sterling napkin rings, twig flatware, and favorite stemware complete the place settings!
“Today has been a day dropped out of June into April.”
~L.M. Montgomery “Anne of Windy Poplars”
“Oh the wonder of it! The outrageous beauty! God didn’t have to give us cherry blossoms you know.”
~Lynn Austin
April Cornell’s breakfast cloth of “April’s Village” is a water color inspired design with butterflies, hummingbirds, and a rendition of April’s actual home (blue house on left) in Burlington, Vermont!
With our “Pride of Mobile” azaleas in full bloom, they called for another arrangement in a favorite American Atelier “baroque” pitcher! RM came home with yellow roses and they were so pretty that I mixed them with snowball, azalea, and allium blooms!
It was so easy to change one element on the table to complement the arrangement! Do you see it?
I exchanged the “rose chintz” salad plate for one with a wide bright yellow band. Quick and easy for a different look!
Lidy, Mary, and Shirley always have beautiful florals and they never disappoint! Click their links to visit and leave them a comment so they know you stopped by.

I won’t ask you to choose between the two florals…
…I love them both, but admittedly I am totally captivated by the Kwanzan cherry blossoms!
I am a little late in posting spring in the Sunshine Cottage, but hopefully I will share on Thursday. Thank you for your visit and gracious comments. Wishing you a delightful week!

Pam, Your Kwanzan cherry tree is a beauty, I know you must be thrilled it wasn’t frost nipped! What a gorgeous spring bouquet they make with your Snowball Viburnum blooms in your pitcher and I love the pop of purple from your alliums! Your trinket boxes make such a sweet addition and bit of jewelry for your table, with the Blue Jay and squirrel appropriate for a table by your ‘woodlands’ 🙂 Your other arrangement is so pretty too with the pop of yellow from RM’s roses to pair with the yellow in your alternate plate stack. Thank you for the beauty this morning! As always it’s a treat to share blooms with you, especially so on a rainy morning. Happy Monday ♥

Both arrangements are beautiful Pam, and how wonderful to be able to forage such gorgeous flowers from your own yard! The April Cornell tablecloth is so much fun, I love that she included her own house and all the bright pretty colors! I love the cherry blossoms with the snowballs in the pretty blue and white pitcher, but to me the white pitcher with azaleas and yellow roses really pops! The little squirrel and bird are such fun additions to your outdoor Spring tablescape, and it looks like plenty of sunshine ahead to enjoy being outside this week!

Oh, Pam, what a gorgeous table and arrangement. Spring is really slow to make her appearance this year. I envy the beauty you are enjoying. However, ours will arrive when the time is right. Your flowers are truly a gift from above and every time I see that pretty stemware I want to pull it through the screen.

This is a SPECTACULAR tablescape with every element bringing something unique and wonderful. My goodness, but the heads of those viburnum are HUGE!!!!! Doesn’t seem like the frost won this one! I would love to have both the cherry blossoms and the viburnum as part of our yearly rotation of beauty. Living here in the Midwest does have its challenges.
That tablecloth is really something else! The pattern on the drop edge…WOW!!!!!!! It just exudes everything good there is about Spring! You have gone above, beyond, and even farther if that’s possible!
All this bright color and fabulous texture has awakened something in me this morning. Beautiful!!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Alycia. Thankfully, the frost didn’t win on these, but it did on some other blooms. Your comments are so sweet dear one! Enjoy the rest of this week!
Bonnie Morgan says
I adore your AC table cloth with the butterflies and birds. To have cherry blossoms blooming is quite special and they look great with your snowballs in the blue and white pitcher as the centerpiece. It is special to have things blooming in your own garden. I love how you styled the table. The porcelain squirrel and the Blue Jay look great on top of your plate stack. I also love the white pitcher with snowballs, azaleas, roses, and aliums and smaller Meakin pitcher with cherry blossoms.
It is always a treat to see your MMB creations. Sorry, I am a bit late. We were out of town until late Monday for Easter.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Bonnie. You have done a lot of traveling. I am so glad you spent Easter with family!

Pam, I am so glad that you didn’t make me choose between the arrangements – both are beautiful. I love you you switched out the rose chintz plates for the yellow banded ones – it looks perfect with the yellow roses! Pam @ Everyday Living says

Cheryl says
Both arrangements are SO beautiful!! It would be hard to choose, but I think the 2nd one may win out just by a tiny margin, in my opinion! That pink and white together is just gorgeous! God has created so much beauty for us, and I feel so blessed to have eyesight to see it all. I often praise Him for that. It is such a gift!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yes, praising Him for good eyesight after cataract surgery two years ago 🙏🏻
