Happy Wednesday sweet friends. Can you believe this coming Sunday will be the first day of May? Since Mother’s Day is fast approaching, I am sharing tabletop and gift ideas. I also have a fabulous giveaway that would make a lovely gift for mom! Be sure to read to the bottom of the post to enter!

It is no secret that I love setting a table in my garden! I have often thought how much my Mother would have loved sitting or enjoying a meal in our garden. Dining alfresco is a lovely idea for Mother’s Day!
There are many sweet memories of my beloved Mother attached to this tablesetting!
A Bouquet Of Peonies In The Garden
Sharing tea is a simple way to honor the special moms in your life!
Of course, you could serve scones or muffins. Or it could be more elaborate, whatever works for you. It is all about spending time with your mom. As a mother and grandmother, there is no better gift to me than time with my family!
This is one of my favorite tables! The vintage table square with its lovely shade of lavender/purple seems to sing! I added this precious photo of my Mother and me. A photo of your mom with her children would be a great idea for the table.
As I was writing this post, I was reminded that this same color was my first choice for my bedroom in the home where I grew up. I was nine years old when my family moved into our newly built home. My parents allowed me to choose my wall color which I changed several times before getting married. Daddy was always happy to paint it a new color, even bright orange!
Hydrangeas, Roses, & Strawberries
A lovely way to celebrate your mom and other special moms is a dessert table! It can be simple…
…fresh strawberry cake with cream cheese icing, fresh lemonade with strawberries, and flowers that you could gift to your mom!
Simple Pleasures In The Garden
Maybe you can’t be with your mom or your children for Mother’s Day. Perhaps like me, your mother has passed away. Why not treat yourself? You could set a tea table for one!
Tea, macarons, and books are simple pleasures that you can easily plan for yourself or include a friend!
Now for a few gift ideas for moms. I think most ladies enjoy a pretty and feminine top. I may pass a hint to RM!
This is a cute espadrille for spring and summer. The above top paired with white pants or jeans and these darling shoes would be a perfect outfit for a day of shopping and lunch!
A top that could be dressed up or down!
Inspired by vintage glass pieces, this hand-blown vase features a tortoise shell design and is available in two sizes. As one who loves flowers, I would love this!
A pretty coffee mug available in four patterns is a perfect gift for the coffee-loving mom!
Many years ago, due to allergies, I could no longer wear cologne or perfume. I was so happy to discover that I could wear Jo Malone. Nectarine Blossom and Honey is my current favorite fragrance.
Orange Blossom has a wonderful fruit fragrance that is fresh. Their fragrances are light and not overpowering which is helpful for those who have allergies.
A reader recently asked me about an open book in my post “It’s Spring In The Sunshine Cottage”. The book is “Living With Blue & White” which would be a wonderful gift for a mom who loves blue and white decor!
Last but not least is one of my favorite gifts from RM, an espresso machine that is small and takes up little space on the counter. I can make cappuccinos or lattes at home. A wonderful gift for the mom that loves her coffee drinks!
Now for the GIVEAWAY and details to enter. This beautiful book “The Art Of Flowers” is the perfect gift for a mom that gardens or just loves flowers, or to add to your own book collection. You can read much more about the book here.

So many pretty tables Pam…you should add an April Cornell floral tablecloth to your round up of Mother’s Day gift ideas! I have worn Jo Malone Grapefruit for about 15 years and love the light, citrusy fragrance. I started wearing it when I read that the aroma of grapefruit makes you appear up to 6 years younger…much cheaper than a facelift. 🙂 As you know, I have The Art of Flowers, which is a beautiful book! It will make some winner and reader very happy. Happy Wednesday. ♥
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Mary. If the aroma of grapefruit makes you appear up to 6 years younger then maybe I should buy that fragrance!

Pam, I love how you constantly honor the memory of your dear mother. It is obvious that EM and EK are learning from their mother and you to do the same. I miss my parents every single day. Since I already won and enjoy one of your lovely books, I won’t enter the contest. BTW, I love your purple tablecloth!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Roxanne, we were both blessed with the best of mothers!
Patti Fralix says
Beautiful post, Pam. I will miss being with Tara this year for Mother’s Day. Paula’s son, Patrick, graduates from a masters degree program, and Mike and I think we need to be there to support him. Happy Mother’s Day to you!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I know you will definitely miss time with Tara for Mother’s Day!

Good morning, Pam! Beautiful tables, gardens, florals, and gift options (is this latter something new you’re doing/). I am hoping to spend Mother’s Day with my girls – all of them! – on Mother’s Day, even if just for a walk together. As you know, I am loving my new landscape garden, learning new things, and would be thrilled to add Art of Flowers to my reference collection. Thanks for the opportunity.
I was already following you on Pinterest!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Rita. I have shared gift lists a couple of times in the past, I am not sure if it will be a regular occurrence ☺️

We’ve done the same thing every year since my oldest daughter and her family moved to our city. I am so blessed to have both daughters living close. My son-in-law (oldest daughter’s husband) cooks. My husband cleans up. Now all the grandsons are grown so they help out. My granddaughter’s birthday is near Mother’s Day so we have a dual celebration sometimes.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Nancy, your Mother’s Day sounds perfect!
Maureen says
Your tablescapes are so inviting! I, too, like that purple/lavender tablecloth. It really is beautiful. My mom has passed so I will spend my day with my daughter who lives nearby. Will be thinking of my mom on that day but as you know mothers are always close in our hearts. I would love to win your book! Happy Mother’s Day to you!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Enjoy the day with your daughter, Maureen!
the Painted Apron says
Such a lovely post Pam, I enjoyed thinking about my mother as I read your post and enjoyed each beautiful table! I hope our Mother’s Day is full of sunshine and Alfresco dining this year! I am hoping we can gather as a family on Sunday afternoon….but regardless I feel blessed everyday as I’m sure you do too, with our children and grands so close by that we can see them all the time! I received the beautiful Art of Flowers book from Shirley when it was a giveaway on Monday Morning Blooms, such a treasure to own!

I am the primary caregiver for my 95 year old mother. I am with her most of the time. For Mother’s Day we will livestream our church’s service (that is if Mother wakes from her morning nap in time. We’ll have lunch together. I’m very limited on what I can prepare for Mother’s lunch as she has great difficulty eating. I’ll give her a Mother’s Day card but no gift as she says she doesn’t need anything. Most of all I will be very thankful to God that I still have my mother.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Carol, how wonderful that you still have your mother and that you take care of her. Blessings…
Shannon@Belle Bleu Interiors says
Good morning, Pam! This is such a lovely post with so many beautiful tables to admire and inspire us. Last year for Mothers Day, I gave my mom and mother in law that very Flower book with a homemade bouquet for their gift. I have the book as well as the Blue and White book. I love them both! You have shared some wonderful gift ideas. In fact I have been eyeing the first blouse you featured. I have already purchased the espadrilles in pink and love them. I’m still trying to decide what to do this year for the moms. It will be a busy weekend. We will be moving Caroline home for Sumner Break. The best gift of all will be having her home for Mother’s Day. Have a wonderful Wednesday, my sweet friend!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Shannon, the perfect gift for you is Caroline being home!
Donna says
Such beautiful flowers. . . .and memories of our mother. We try to keep those memories fresh. Not exactly sure of Mom’s Day plans but if it warms up enough here, we will probably dine outdoors in our backyard.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Donna, hopefully you can dine outdoors!
Leslie Anne Tarabella says
I love the idea of eating outdoors for Mother’s Day. I think I’ll plan on it. Also, every single one of your gift ideas looks like something I’d love. I’ll have to find something for my mother and another thing for my own “hint list.” – thanks!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yes, eat outdoors!
Maureen says
I love the Victoria book of Blue and White.
What lovely pictures.
This year will be different from other years. I lost my mother on Father’s Day last year. I haven’t a clue what we will be doing. My husband lost his mother about 7 yrs ago.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Maureen, Mother’s Day is always hard when you don’t have your mother. Hugs~

Oh, what a lovely giveaway! I would love to win! I am planning a music get-together with my family and friends. It just hit me right now while reading your post that the date I chose for it is May 8th!! I didn’t even realize it is Mother’s Day!!! LOL! What is funny is that there is nothing I would rather do that day than to make music, so I guess this is my present to myself. 🙂
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Cheryl, enjoy making music on Mother’s Day!

Lovely tables as always dear Pam. I too love to dine outside when possible and weather permits. Nothing better than the beauty of God’s nature adorning our dining. Well, this year for Mother’s day my daughter’s will celebrate me as their mom the day before Mother’s Day. My three daughter’s always have been quite good to me with Mother’s Day. The each have children so this year on Mother’s Day they will each celebrate doing something with their families. I think that is a grand idea for them. They are wonderful mothers to their children and wonderful daughters to me. It’s a win win! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Hello, dear Pam. Such lovely tables and I so wish, as you do, that my mom was here for me to spoil. I am thankful I did my best to do that while she was alive. Although, I always wonder if I did enough. All the years I lived away I always come home for Mother’s Day and she appreciated it so much.
Wishing you a lovely day and week, dear one.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Sandra, I know you were a wonderful daughter!

Like your mom, my mom is a woman of faith. Her 87th birthday and Mother’s Day are the same day this year. I will make her a simple lunch and me, my husband, and Dad will just enjoy each other’s company while sitting on their covered porch, post-lunch.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Enjoy the time with your Mom!

I, like you, no longer have my Mom on this earth. She loved and served the Lord with all of her heart, so I look forward to being with her again and lots of fun times in Heaven!
Since all of our children chose to come back to our home town when they graduated from UF (Go Gators!) I tell them and our grandchildren that they make every day feel like Mother’s Day for me!!; So it has become our tradition for our children to do something special for me the day before Mother’s Day and then their children can focus on them on Mother’s Day. It’s become a wonderful and practical tradition.
Thank you for the very sweet and beautiful post (inspiring!!) and the lovely gift ideas. I’m actually expecting the beautiful Victoria “Living With Blue and White” book from the kids for Mother’s Day this year!!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Deb for sharing your precious memories. I know your mom must have been lovely. Your tradition for Mother’s Day is perfect. Wishing you a wonderful time spent with family!

Thanks, Kris…Happy Thursday!

Beautiful tables Pam and hard to choose a favorite! If I had to choose, I find myself leaning towards the purple one – something about light purple and spring! Loved your gift ideas and I see those espadrilles in my future if I can track them down lol. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful ideas and Happy Thursday!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Kim. I lean towards the purple. Buy the shoes 🥰

I am so excited to celebrate Mother’s Day this year! I love these ideas you wrote about. Thanks for your ideas!
