Hello and Happy June! According to the meteorological calendar, summer began yesterday. Our ninety-three degree day confirmed!
“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 1:6
I have gathered some of my favorite summertime tablescapes from the archives to welcome the new season!
Colorful zinnias add beautiful color to a table!
I am now craving a slice of ice cold watermelon on this hot day!
A pitcher with attached memories is filled with hydrangeas…
…complementing the colors of the April Cornell cloth!
A box makes an interesting container for flowers!
The flowers are hydrangeas…a must when they are in season!
Once again, something a bit unusual holds the flowers!
I found this Clabber Girl Baking Powder Can in the back of an antique store. Reminder to myself…use it again!
We planted three snowflake hydrangeas last fall, I love the way they cascade!
Lemon macarons…yum!
This beach-inspired table has a fun backstory!
The shell box is a favorite find!
The Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt was made by my grandmother!
Another arrangement of hydrangeas, but the quilt is the star! Of course, we would never use it for food. It rests at the foot of the bed in my guest room.
Sweet Peaches & Summer Flowers
Peaches are my favorite fruit, so why not celebrate their juicy goodness on a table!
Zinnias, sunflowers, Black-eyed Susans, and limelights, all cut from my garden, make a colorful centerpiece!
A table to honor our pollinator friends…the bees!
I baked this amazing honey tea loaf cake to celebrate the bees. I didn’t plan to share food in this post, it just happened. I am now wanting a slice of honey cake topped with fresh peaches and whipped cream. Throw in a lemon macaron for good measure!
As always, thank you for your visit and gracious comments.
I will be joining fellow table stylists for a summer tablescape blog hop on Tuesday. Monday, I will join my bloom friends as we welcome a guest to Monday Morning Blooms. There will be plenty of summer inspiration for you to enjoy! Wishing you a joy-filled day!

Your tablescapes are making me so excited for the zinnias to start blooming! I got my seeds in late, and they germinated in a week! Pam, ask your dad if he remembers clabber ice cream! He is younger than my father, so maybe not. Daddy said it was something they made during the Deptession to save money. A little old lady talked him into cleaning her yard when he was about 13 with the promise of ice cream. She brought brought out a big bowl on a hot summer day, and he eagerly dove in. It was clabber and apparently quite horrible because he mentioned it every time we went for ice cream!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Roxanne. My zinnias are growing, can’t wait for their happy colors. I will ask my Daddy about the clabber ice cream, it sounds horrible.

Any idea where you purchased the multicolored striped glasses on the zinnia table? I love them and they would be perfect with my vintage Fiesta.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Good morning. The glasses came from Pier 1 many years ago and happen to be one of my favorites. I miss Pier 1 stores.

A virtual wash of stunning color combinations and creativity. Bright red watermelon on a dark green plate, peaches
amid a pastel setting….what an eye. The memory-filled treasured quilts take center stage… Is it my imagination or do
these tablescapes carry a “cooling” effect on what could be a hot day? Just might be the serenity of it all. Thank
you for the beautiful ideas for summertime entertaining.
